Work Text:
Relationship: Fred Weasley and George Weasley
Prompt: (Dialogue) “I regret nothing.”
They had finished touring the empty building of 93 in Diagon Alley, both Fred and George Weasley knew it was the spot for their business. The location was perfect . There was a large open floor for their shop with a good-sized basement for brewing, development, and storage, and there was an apartment over the shop where they could live.
The twins shared a look then a smile, knowing the other felt the same way.
“We’ll take it,” Fred told the realtor Hazel Brown, a witch in her mid-thirties with graying dark blonde hair and brown eyes.
The realtor glanced at each twin before nodding. “Let’s return to my office,” she instructed. “We can put your offer together and subject.”
The twins nodded, each wearing a serious expression. It was finally starting to happen. Their dreams were starting to become a reality.
The next four hours were spent in Brown’s office in Vertiz Alley on paperwork – financial paperwork, loan paperwork, and writing a personalized letter. Thanks to the loan from Harry, their savings, and their sales, they had enough for a decent down payment and they qualified for a decent loan through Gringotts. With their business plans and projected sales, the twins were confident they could pay off the loan early.
Brown smiled as she handed over a blood quill for the final signatures. “Just a few more,” she promised, “and I will submit the paperwork.”
Fred nodded as he took the blood quill. Before signing, he took the time to read over everything. When he was done, he passed the quill to his twin.
George copied the actions of his twin.
Taking the blood quill back, Brown signed as well.
When everything was signed, the parchment turned gold for a few seconds before returning to its normal color.
“If your offer is accepted, there will be more signing,” Brown told as she waved her wand over the parchment.
The twins nodded.
Smiling, Brown asked, “How are you feeling?”
“No regrets,” George answered.
Brown beamed. “Please look for my owl in the coming days,” she said as she took up to escort them out of her office.
The twins made their way back to Diagon Alley, stopping to look at the storefront at 93.
“I regret nothing,” Fred agreed.
Together, they turned and made their way back to their rented room at The Leaky Cauldron.
