sara waited patiently with her head slightly bowed down, her body not displaying a single ounce of the sheer nervousness she felt inside. she fixed her intense gaze on the woman in front of her, watching her slowly scoop up the shaved ice into her spoon and eventually eat it.
raiden was silent for a while, her expression unreadable.
"is... is it to your liking, almighty shogun?"
ei continued to be quiet. she took another spoonful of the shaved ice and sipped it up once again. after what felt like an eternity, she finally spoke.
"...it's quite chilly and cool, exactly as i desire..."
sara tried to fight back a smile, but just as she was about to bashfully respond, the shogun continued.
"though... it's not sweet enough. it needs more sugar."
now feeling quite mortified, sara immediately spoke up: "i am so sorry, your excellency, i can go make another serving for you if you would like–"
before she could finish apologizing, however, sara was interrupted by the sound of the shogun's melodious laughter.
"sara, i am just teasing."
as soon as those words left her mouth, sara immediately relaxed. it's almost funny how easily her mood can change when she's in the vicinity of the shogun.
"it tastes divine. thank you very much."
sara let out one final sigh of relief.
"happy birthday, your excellency."
