We meet Izuku Midoriya and Hanta Sero facing each other dressed in their hero outfits about to spar.
“Alrighty Midoriya, are you ready to fight?” he says getting his stance ready.
“Yup, thanks again for letting me train like this. I wanna try sparring with a restrictive type quirk” he says getting his stance ready.
“Well, what can I say, I need to keep training just as hard if I’m to become a hero too.” Sero says ready
“If everything’s set, let’s get this started.” Midoriya says also ready
Midoriya starts by launching himself at Sero as Sero fires off two strands of tape from his arms. Midoriya uses his quick mind to dodge out of the way as the tape fires right at where he was.
“You know, the teachers were right when they always said you need to try aiming where your opponent will be rather than where they were” Midoriya says very cockily.
“You still have no idea, do you deku?” Sero says ready to try something
“Well, show me your idea then.” Midoriya says getting ready for Sero’s normal tactics
Sero fires 6 more times in a few different directions around him and they land on the floor, all missing Midoriya.
“Alrighty now, TAPE HURRICANE!” he says shouting out a new move he just came up with.
He fires tape at the tape he’s already fired attaching them both, then he starts spinning around a few times. Izuku tried to jump out of range of the attack but was caught up in it too soon.
The tape starts whirling around Midoriya, once, twice, three times. One strand starts at his head and another at his feet. The next set comes and grabs his arms and shoulders. The next set comes and wraps around his knees and thighs. Then the last set around his waist and mouth.
He releases the tape from his arms and it finishes heading towards midoriya. Every strand and where it’s attached is made so that the strand is just long enough to wrap around his entire body. He becomes mummified in one swift move.
“Alrighty midoriya, you concede?” He says, smug that his new move worked wonders.
“Nrh mnhnrmrm hmrr” (Not entirely sero) he says fallen onto the ground practically immobilized.
“You know, I was hoping to wrap up a lady or a villain with it first, but it’s nice to get some practice in using it before the real thing.” Sero says, gloating that it worked just as well as he wanted.
“Hrhh gnhm mm r mnnrhm, N'rr gmh rrh rh hhnh” (Just give me a minute, I’ll get out of this.” he says struggling to move his body.
“Just give up midoriya, I’ve won. I’ll free you and we can try going another round.” He says with pity.
“Nrhm, N mnrr mhcrhm hhnh.” (Nope, I will escape this) Midoriya says struggling.
“Alrighty then, I’m just gonna sit here then. For you, it’s just become escape training.” He says cocky that Midoriya won’t figure a way out.
Sero grabs a chair and sits down watching midoriya struggle. He’s fighting really hard, but the tape restricts his movements down a lot, he barely has any control of his fingers.
“I figured I should also restrict your fingers because you’ve used them a few times to great effect.” Sero says proudly.
Izuku continues struggling. His arms are restricted on his side and his entire body has been mummified to great effect. He has to think a moment before coming up with an idea.
Izuku thinks to himself “In the past, once his tape left his body, it only was able to last a certain while before getting weaker, so the more I struggle, the weaker and faster it will get”
Izuku continues struggling and he constantly tries moving his arms and legs, when he can move them for a few centimeters he is free to fully get out.
So Izuku continues for around 10 minutes. Sero sits up and says “I’m getting bored of this, are you absolutely sure you don’t want to restart the match?”
“N'm hnnm, N hhnnch N'hm hrrnn mm mrm rrh.” (I'm fine, I think I've found my way out.) He says confidently.
“Well then good luck.” Sero says sitting back down.
As if on cue, Midoriya breaks a couple strands of tape, and frees his hand. He reaches over and rips the rest of the tape off.
“Oooh, very good midoriya, and here I thought I’d be here for an hour.” Sero says confidently.
“Nope, but if I were to recommend something, I’d recommend strengthening your tape, it only took me 10 minutes of struggling to loosen its grip on me.” Midoriya says readying his stance again.
“Alrighty, back at it then” Sero says standing up and readying up as well.
“Alrighty, I know it’s coming this time, Sero.” Midoriya says more confidently.
“Well then good luck avoiding it, Midoriya.” Sero says
Once again Midoriya launches at Sero and he fires a few more shots at izuku. This time he knows midoriya is trying to figure out when he uses it, so he isn’t going to start off with it again.
Midoriya manages to get close to Sero before Sero grabs Midoriya’s foot, launching him back.
At that point he’d fired more than a few extra shots of tape, so midoriya doesn’t know which ones he’ll use for the move, or if he’ll even use it again.
Midoriya continues dodging and weaving while trying to strike Sero multiple times. The time has come, Sero shouts “TAPE HURRICANE” and grabs multiple long pieces of tape he’d used before.
Midoriya hearing that shout uses a strong kick to dodge out of the way, but unexpectedly Sero fires yet another piece of tape, this time from his shoulder, and grabs Midoriya’s foot. Sero pulls him within range of the tape hurricane and it wraps around him once again.
It would continue like this for around an hour when their time was up. In the end, midoriya was mummified 4 separate times and he’s still trying to come up with ideas of how to escape once he faces him again for their next sparring session.
