Work Text:

There was a loud crash outside her unit. Mina removed her headset and focused on the door. Another bang blared through her door.

Running towards the door, she opened the door slowly and peeked.

A befuddled woman was standing right in front of her door, cheeks flushed and eyes half closed with her fingers fuddling the door knob.

Suddenly, the woman pushed the door open and Mina was shocked. She was shocked at the turn of events, and her back hit the wall with the door crushing her body in between.

Her head hurt suddenly. Alcohol scent touched her nostrils. Mina widened her eyes as she noticed the woman walking towards her room.

“Hey! Hey!” Mina protested, striding towards her. She was bewildered and couldn’t even finish her sentence as she observed her slurring movements.

She must be drunk. Mina thought.

“What are you doing?” She was startled and covered her eyes with her hand.

The woman stripped her clothes and flopped on the bed. A loud groan escaped her mouth as she remained stationary.

Mina heard a soft snore and took her hand out of her eyes.

On her newly purchased bed, a woman was there and wore only her underwear.

“What the fuck?" Mina mumbled to herself.

It's been a week and Mina was still unfamiliar with the building and neighbors. She doesn’t even know who that drunk woman in her bed.

Nayeon felt liquid climbing up her throat. She spread her eyes and ran towards the bathroom as quickly as she could. She barfed all the noxious stuff that her stomach complained about. There was a loud pounding inside her head and her legs were aching. She flushed the toilet before standing in front of the sink.

She reached for the towel hanging on the wall after washing her face. Finally, her eyes opened.

She noticed she was wearing a shirt. She doesn’t remember changing her clothes. She looked down and saw a marvel pajamas. Neither does she remember having marvel pajamas.

Nayeon gasped and realized she was holding a green towel. Her towel was blue, sky blue to be specific.

Eyes wander around the bathroom and nothing seems familiar. It had the same style as her bathroom, but it had some unusual items inside.

Nayeon panted, leaning on the sink.

She recalled all the memories from last night.

Jeongyeon dropped her in the lobby, she hopped into the elevator and walked inside her unit.

Her unit is 506.

“Shit!” Nayeon squeaked before covering her mouth.

She was inside a stranger's place. What a time to be alive. She must’ve been that drunk to not notice the numbers and just entered the unit without looking around.

Nayeon tiptoed back to the room. Avoiding noise, she put her clothes in their place and grabbed her purse.

She opened the door and nobody was outside. Her heart beat so fast as she walked around the place. It was definitely not hers. It was plain and neat, while her unit was a mess. A desktop on a side, a 60 inch TV and some puzzle collections.

Nayeon was about to open the front door when a woman burst in.

Because she was unlucky, the door hit her head.

“Ow!” Nayeon exclaimed holding her forehead.

“Oh fuck, I’m sorry.” The woman approached her. It was the softest voice she had heard in a while. “Are you okay?”

Nayeon hissed and rubbed her aching head. What a favored day. A hangover and a lump on her forehead.

The woman ran away from her and returned within a minute.

“What are you doing behind the door?” She removed her hand from Nayeon's head and pressed an ice pack.

Nayeon slumped her shoulders back and mumbled, “I was about to leave.”

Her lips jolted to a pout and her eyes met the strange woman. Their eyes displayed worry and traveled around her face. Upon seeing her, Nayeon noticed the moles on her face, the perfect pointed nose, the plump pink lips, and the hazel brown hair around her. She was about her height and their lips smiled.

Nayeon realized she stared too long. What the fuck, Nayeon? You’re totally a creep right now. She scolded herself and turned her head before stealing the ice pack from her.

“I can do it.” Nayeon said with uneasy movements.

The woman chuckled while gazing at her.

Nayeon bit her lip and she felt her cheeks getting hot in embarrassment. She exhaled before meeting their eyes.

"I'll return this to you. I’m from unit 506, I’m sorry for this ambush.” She rambled out.

There was a wide smile spreading across the woman's lips as she stared at Nayeon.

“It’s all right."

Nayeon smiled awkwardly and strode towards the door.

“Wait, what’s your name?”

“Nayeon.” She replied shortly and ran towards the hallway.

As she approached her door, she felt her neighbor stare at her from the side.

“Okay, Nayeon from unit 506. I’m Mina of 505.”

Nayeon shut the door behind her and pressed her back at it. She bit her lip so hard that she almost broke a muscle as she recalled all the embarrassment she did at that day. She slid down and slapped her leg in annoyance.

“What the hell was that Nayeon? You just humiliated yourself in front of your new neighbor!” Nayeon said.

But god, she’s beautiful.

505.

Nayeon felt her heart beating against her throat. She stared at the door with 505 numbers with a container of cookies she baked after returning home from work. She wanted to make up for the mistake she made the other night, so she baked cookies.

With her eyes closed, her knuckles touched the wood for knocks.

No one answered.

Nayeon lifted an eyebrow and knocked again multiple times.

The door opened.

Nayeon saw Mina again, and she was even more beautiful as ever. Her heart pumps triple at her cloudy eyes. How does a sweater make her look that good? She bet Mina smells like vanilla and her hair is smooth between her fingers.

A tiny smile appeared as she opened the door widely.

“Hi, Nayeon from unit 506.” Mina waved her hand. “What can I do for you?”

Nayeon blushed. Wow what a nickname. She clearly deserves that for storming out of her place out of embarrassment. It still humiliates her.

Nayeon handed out the cookies. “I just wanted to give you these for the disaster I made the last time.”

Mina gratefully received it. She giggled at the images that flashed in her head. “That’s fine. Thank you for this.”

Nayeon clasped her fingers together as she gazed at Mina. Her stomach twisted the longer she stared at Mina. A rush rocketed through her spine and her teeth scraped her lips.

Mina cleared her throat.

Fuck. I have a crush on Mina. Am I staring again?

“Is there anything you want? I’m kind of… in the middle of a game.” Mina scratched the back of her head as she listened to the silence of their space.

Nayeon awkwardly chuckled, “Oh, yeah. No. Nothing.”

“Thank you again for this.” Mina’s smile came up to her eyes, making her cheeks fluffy.

That smile could be a sign of weakness for Nayeon. It would be so much fun for her to softly kiss and squish those puffy cheeks of hers.

"I want to introduce myself in a pleasant way.” Nayeon spoke up again and pushed her hands forward, "I am Nayeon."

During a friendly handshake, Mina giggled and touched each other's palms.

“Myoi Mina.”

Their hands touched and there’s a glint emanating from her veins. Nayeon felt her heart fluttered. They parted their ways and Nayeon had a smile tattooed on her lips.

A small crush wouldn’t hurt right?

In the hallway and lobby, Nayeon felt this surge of electric shock every time she saw Mina. Mina is beautiful, mostly when she smiles. That smile makes her toes curl and her piercing eyes look at her with diamonds shining behind it. Mina is kind, always greeting her and asking how her day was when they bumped into each other.

One time, she saw Mina in the gym near their building. Nayeon almost salivates at the sight of her chiseled stomach and well-built body. She never greet her, but admires her from afar. Mina is hot. Although her arms aren't that big, it seems like she's so strong based on how she lifts weights and how she runs the treadmill, it's as if she can walk for a hundred kilometers.

It wasn’t a small crush anymore, it was beginning to grow whenever she saw Mina. Nayeon wanted to be close to Mina.

Nayeon is clumsy, sometimes she labels herself stupid, and she forgets things quite easily. Like what she just did a minute ago.

After a tiring day at work, she didn’t have enough energy to cook dinner. Instead, she ordered pizza.

A knock rang in her ear and she found Mina behind her door with a box of pizza.

Guess what? Of course, Nayeon almost punched herself when she realized she had put the wrong address.

“Uhh, I think you put the wrong unit number. The receipt says ‘Im Nayeon’.” Mina uttered, “I never ordered pizza either.”

Nayeon sighed heavily and rubbed her forehead. She chuckled lightly and apologized. "It’s been a long day for me today.”

Nayeon had a tough day. It is already difficult to be a product manager at one of the most renowned food and beverage companies. The management of a whole team is extremely difficult when the product is already ready to be shown to higher management.

Then she heard Mina’s small giggle. Suddenly, she wasn’t tired at all.

As Nayeon held the box of pizza in her hands, the word escaped her lips.

“Do you want to eat this with me?”

Mina agreed. They went inside and had a conversation. Nayeon was glad she invited her. There was progress between them.

It was discovered by Nayeon that Mina is a recently hired Data Engineer who is also a talented graphic designer. She spends her time in front of her computer and sometimes watches supernatural and action series. Mina is just a year younger than her, which makes her more interesting in her eyes.

They laughed and talked about everything on the surface. They learned a lot about each other and Nayeon never forgot how her jaw hurt from smiling too much.

Mina likes sweets. Literally. She even asked if Nayeon still had the cookies she baked the other week. Mina liked it. Nayeon got another reason to bake something and finally got another reason to knock on her unit again.

And as the night progressed on, they got comfortable in each other. Nayeon touches Mina’s shoulder whenever she had another word to say or hit her arm when she laughs. These are those strong arms Nayeon wanted around her body for comfort.  Nayeon knew that Mina's laughter swiveled the sensation in her stomach and she felt good when she laughed. She wanted to hear and see more of it, most likely when she was the reason behind it.

Her laptop can’t be opened with an unfinished file. It was the only piece she had. She was editing the final presentation and her laptop shut down. Autosave didn’t even save her from the disaster.

Anxious, Nayeon walked back and forth cursing and calling some of her members for help. No one could, because it was nighttime and people were already home.

505. In front of the unit, Nayeon found herself.

Mina knows technology and computers, right? She asked herself repeatedly, but had no choice. She needed to finish herfinal presentation tonight.

“Nayeon? Hi.”

In a cozy shirt and boy shorts, Mina stood at the door raising her eyebrows.

“Hi, Mina. Can you help me with something?"

“As long as I can.”

In her unit, Nayeon dragged Mina.

Laptop was blacked out but the light was on. While Mina sits at the dining table, she presses any button on the device, but nothing happens.

Nayeon panicked inside. Her foot tap on the floor as she watched Mina do magic with her laptop. She can’t fail her teammates and she’s competitive. No one can get that deal but her.

Mina left to get something from her unit and Nayeon texted her teammates to make an extra presentation just in case her laptop doesn’t work. She still has notes in her mind and can still recall details of her own work.

“Do you have a cooling pad?”

Overthinking and busy debating with her inner mind, she didn’t know, Mina spoke up and stood beside her.

“Let me find it. Wait a second.”

She has one, Nayeon swore she do has one. She flipped her room and it took her more than ten minutes to find it.

Mina waited outside, humming a song.

Nayeon handed out the cooling pad. “What’s that?”

Mina made a small sound that vibrated in her throat and explained the science and technology underneath the device. Though Nayeon couldn't help but be curious, everything Mina said did not even make sense to her.

Nayeon enjoyed Mina’s company. She felt like Mina was not just there to fix her laptop but to make her feel calm. Nayeon sang along with Mina. Her smile was genuine and filled with comfort. She heard Mina sing and she was great. A soft lullaby touched her soul, she would love to hear it again. Her presence feels like a warm blanket around her shoulders and her smile is like laptop light.

Wait, what?

“Here,” Mina pointed at the open laptop. “It’s open.”

Nayeon jumped into excitement and screamed, “Oh my god!”

In a matter of seconds, arms were around Mina’s shoulder and Nayeon pressed their bodies together. Nayeon was bursting with happiness and out of her mind, a kiss landed accidentally on the side of Mina's lips.

She heard Mina’s breath hitched at the back of her throat. Their heart beat in sync and the time seems to have slowed down. It was unexpected. It’s not like Nayeon didn’t want to kiss Mina, it was just a burst of emotion. She was afraid of making Mina uncomfortable.

Nayeon leaned out, all her anxiety washed away. She was surprised by Mina’s tinted cheeks and shy smile.

“Sorry, I was just happy.” Nayeon talked, “But thank you.”

The smile on Mina's lips did not leave. "It's okay, Nayeon." she said.

As much as she wanted to stay close to Mina, Nayeon distanced herself from her.

“I owe you.”

“It’s nothing. Just make sure to buy yourself another one when your presentation worked well.” Mina turned back toward the laptop.

Nayeon observed her every move. As Mina watches the screen, her eyes reflect it and her fingers softly tap the keyboard. When Mina was unaware of it, she felt like the seconds were going by at a slow pace. Nayeon felt herself slipping down at her charisma. And again, maybe it was just a burst of emotion. But God damn, Mina is an angel.

There was a lot of clicking and typing before Mina announced that it was all done. She explained all the technical words she had used, and Nayeon had to pretend she understood them. Mina’s voice was too awe inspiring not to be heard and her eyes were too soft not to look at as she spoke.

“Thank you again.” Nayeon walked her to her unit.

Mina giggled as she tapped the security lock on her door. “If I count it, you have thanked me ten times now.”

Before closing the door behind Mina, Nayeon laughed with Mina and waved goodbye. She felt a warm feeling in her heart. She was grateful to have found a friend like Mina.

“I’ll treat you for this.”

"You just need to do well in your presentation. That’s the most delightful treat you’ll give me."

It touched Nayeon. Her heart flipped and shock exploded inside her stomach. Those kind words weakened her fear and she smiled. She could feel the strength and courage she needed to present. Nayeon was ready to make her proud.

There was a minute of silence, just their eyes glued to each other.

Mina cleared her throat. “I think I’ll leave now. Good night.”

“Oh sure, good night.” Nayeon awkwardly laughed, biting the skin of her inner cheek in embarrassment.

Mina turned around again. “You forgot something.”

Nayeon frowned, forgetting anything. Upon entering her unit, she hardly had anything.

“Huh?”

Mina pointed to her cheek and teased her, “My kiss?”

Nayeon watched Mina laugh as her face turned hot and crimson. She groaned her name in annoyance and left with a smile on her face.

Myoi Mina can be a teaser.

Nayeon nailed it. The presentation sounded much more smoothly than she had expected. The team is even given incentives for their hard work, without their ideas and effort there would not even be a presentation. Everyone was impressed with Nayeon's performance. She showed her leadership skills and thanked everyone for their dedication and work. The team was pleased with the results and proud of their work.

Their team extended their celebration to a dinner and then a small party. Bottles per bottle had been down and Nayeon left home drunk but still attentive.

Nayeon didn’t forget Mina. She wanted to thank her properly and get back as soon as possible. She bought a box of chicken and a bottle of wine to celebrate with her.

505.

“Hi, Mina!” Nayeon said in a flash when she saw Mina behind the door.

Mina greeted her softly. "Hello, Nayeon." she said. An adidas shirt and sweat pants were worn by her.

Looks so cute and cuddly.

With a sense of neglect, Nayeon walked straight inside without Mina inviting her. Mina was always alone in her unit and knew Mina would always open the door for her.

“My presentation worked well as you wished and this is my treat.”

Nayeon placed the box and bottle on the dining table. When she looked back, Mina stared at her from the hallway. She realized she was not in her unit.

“Oh god, I’m sorry. I'm excited-"

Mina laughed, “It’s okay. It’s not like it’s the first time.” She walked near her, reached out and tucked her hair into her ear. “I know you will do great.”

Nayeon knew the heat through her cheeks was not caused by alcohol, but by Mina. She watched Mina enjoy her fried chicken from bite to bite.

“Do you want to watch something?”

Mina asked from the kitchen as Nayeon sat in the living room with a glass of wine.

“Go ahead and pick whatever you like.”

Nayeon did. A movie was selected and the couch was occupied.

She was a little drunk, she wouldn’t deny it. But her mind was still clear and she was conscious of how Mina stared at her and touched her skin with her own. Nayeon was okay with that. Maybe Mina is like that to everyone.

The wine bottle ran out and the movie became boring. As luck struck, Mina offered a beer from her fridge. Intoxicating liquor mixed in her stomach and Nayeon was feeling tipsy. By that time, she was becoming touchy.

“What’s your favorite movie?” Nayeon asked and flirtatiously put her hand on Mina’s leg to get her attention.

Mina moved her eyes from the screen to Nayeon’s hand and said, “Fast and furious.”

“You like car racing and stuff?” Her hand stroked Mina’s leg with chastity and her eyes never left hers.

Then Mina shifted closer to her and pressed their legs together. Nayeon felt the air swell as Mina smirked.

“Yeah, you know fist fights and heists." Mina rasped out, “I like fast cars.”

She fluttered her eyes as Nayeon played with her. Her hand sliding over her thigh and twisting her body closer.

“You like it fast?” Nayeon tilted her head to the side and glanced at the screen in front of them. The characters were having their intimate moment and kissing each other.

“Maybe?” Mina’s smirk widened.

Regardless of who closes the gap between them, it doesn't matter. Nayeon inhaled deeply as she enclosed her lips with Mina’s in between. Lips syncing like waves crashing into the sand. Nayeon pulled her closer by her waist and felt Mina’s palm on her neck. The tongues were brushed and Mina ranged over her mouth.

A hand slipped under her shirt. Her fingertips cold enough to send shivers all over Nayeon’s skin. Her back arched as Mina gently touched her back.

Nayeon felt in euphoria. Mina’s lips were tucked between hers. It was solace. Mina was incredible and unforgettable. Mina’s hands reached Nayeon’s waist, tracing every line, every curve. Mina's touch was reassuring and gentle, yet passionate. Nayeon never wanted it to end.

The lock was snapped open and her bra was off.

A whine sounded out of her throat and Nayeon said, "Mina."

The hand danced on her breast and it sparked fire in her stomach. Sensational pleasure rose. Mina moved too fast and Nayeon liked it.

Mina hummed pushing her tongue further to the roof of her mouth. Nayeon shivered at the fingertips drumming on her skin and sucking Mina’s soul out of her mouth.

Her hand dipped underneath Mina’s shirt, scratching at the fresh texture of her skin, and Mina sighed against her lips. Mina beams with indecency. Nayeon’s heart spun in lust and the sensation played against her stomach, creating a flood of desire through her center.

Nayeon breathed deeply, spreading her fingers to curl at the back of Mina’s neck as she attacked the skin from her throat. Nayeon twisted her body and moved on top of her. Mina’s throat squeaked as she felt her ass against her thighs. She felt warmth pressing on her crotch, knees pinning her from the coach and hands supporting her shoulder.

Mina smirked. She fucking smirked.

Nayeon growled and smashed their lips together. Their tongue tangled and dances to the movement of their hands.

Mina rolled her hips and Nayeon whimped holding her hips for another movement. Her hips twisted and she grinded downwards. They breathed out frustrating air. It was hot and a fire built between them. In a whispered moan, Nayeon's lips pressed against the sensitive part of her neck and a suck marked her skin. Mina's body trembled as Nayeon's lips moved against her neck. She felt her pulse racing as Nayeon's body pressed against hers. The heat between them was almost unbearable.

In a low voice, Mina whispered, "You okay?" Her voice rasping through her throat.

“More than okay.” Nayeon whispered and her voice cracked again. “I think I’m under your influence.” Nayeon responded with need and desire.

"Nayeon," Mina whispered against her ear, slipping her fingers at the smooth skin of Nayeon’s pale stomach. She then dipped underneath the waistband of her jeans and running over her soaked pants. “Come, follow me.”

Mina dragged Nayeon to her bedroom, a familiar place. Clothes disappeared as they walked blindly, and the cold wind brushed against her skin. Nayeon pulled Mina closer to feel her heated bare skin. Landing flat on the mushy bed, Nayeon admired Mina. Celestial face with a vicious body. The beauty of Mina's eyes and demure touch reflect lust with a sense of modesty. While Nayeon was in her own hell.

Backs arch and moans clash through the four walls. The touch of their skin makes their bodies shiver, their fingers clenching at the sheets as they reach their high point. Behind their lids, fireworks erupted and inside their stomachs, a whole new dimension permeated. As their lips locked together, the night ended with faint caressings and whispers.

The sun's rays slowly crept through the curtains, bringing morning with them. Nayeon watched Mina sleep peacefully beside her, a light grin on her lips. She caressed her face before kissing her gently, before snuggling into her embrace and falling back to sleep.

Nayeon felt a weight shift from her side and vague footsteps sounded on the floor. As her mind opened, she grasped at her side and stretched her arms wide open.

“Good morning.”

Nayeon slowly opened her eyes, blinking at the morning sun streaming through the windows. She stretched her arms up towards the sky and smiled, content with the peaceful start to the day.

Nayeon heard inches away from her. Eyes wide open, she saw the light of her day. Mina wore a tiny smile and an oversized shirt.

“Hi, morning.” She replied. There was a scratch in her throat due to dryness.

Mina handed her a glass of water, “Here. Are you okay? Do you need anything?”

Nayeon gulped down some water and felt relieved. Instead of replying, she pulled Mina back down. Mina squealed as their body met to a hug. Nayeon was still naked under the covers except for the small underwear covering her center. Nayeon felt safe in Mina's arms. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She knew that in that moment, Mina would protect her from all worries.

Mina nuzzled her head at Nayeon's shoulder, her hand stroking her exposed stomach and Nayeon felt at ease. As her lips press against her neck curve, Mina murmurs about how mesmerizing her eyes were. Nayeon’s face was plastered with a smile and her hand pulled Mina closer to her.

“Do you want breakfast?” Mina murmured and looked up at her from her chest.

Nayeon hummed and kissed her forehead. “I just want to stay like this for a while.”

Mina agreed and responded with a small okay before returning to cuddling.

There was silence, a comforting silence. Nayeon stared at the ceiling and wondered, perhaps she needed to be drunk and stupid that day to be able to pull this off. Unit 505 was vacant for two years. The owner used it for a vacation space until the unit became untouched and Nayeon was used to it being empty. It wasn’t the first time she tried to go inside unit 505. She will admit that sometimes she lets friends, mostly Jeongyeon trick her and just get drunk. When she's inebriated, her eyes become blurry and her mind becomes blank. It caused her to get confused by the floor doors. It was fortunate that a woman from heaven opened the door for her.

Living in the city for twenty eight years didn't make her feel like home. When Mina’s warmth wrapped around her body, Mina’s voice filled her ears and Mina herself illuminated her mind.

“I think you should do that more often.” Mina spoke.

Nayeon let her eyebrow rise, gazed on Mina and smiled, “Me riding you or eating you out?”

Mina’s throat quivered with laughter and her fingers pinch Nayeon’s side. They burst into laughter and let their minds wander playfully.

“Stupid! Mina exclaimed, "Crash in my place again... naked."

Nayeon pushed herself to capture Mina’s lips. It was just a mild moment between them. Nayeon’s lips displayedamusement as she let their connection build. Eventually, Mina was propelled to get out of the bed. Before Nayeon could protest, Mina ran away immediately out of the room, poking her tongue out.

Nayeon pulled a shirt on before following Mina.

“You’re saying that as if you've seen me naked before.”

Mina put her hand on her hip and smiled teasingly, "You might have stripped yourself off the first time you crashed in here.”

“I- what?” Nayeon widened her eyes and her cheeks tinged hot.

“It’s not my fault.” Mina shrugged, preparing for a breakfast. Placing the pan on the stove and she said, "I didn't look, though."

Nayeon kneaded her face with her palm and stared in amazement at Mina. She thought she didn’t do anything stupid that night but then a memory flashed in her head. She remembered waking up in different clothes.

Mina chuckled, “You had your underwear, don’t worry.”

Nayeon groaned hearing Mina’s teasing remarks. Those memories didn't exist in her head. However, she still felt miserable knowing that she was half naked at a stranger's place. She's lucky Mina is not some weird creepy ass neighbor. In spite of the fact that there could have been something bad happening to her if it wasn't Mina, she still feels grateful.

“Fuck off, please. How did you even put on some of my clothes if you didn’t look?”

“With one eye open.”

Perhaps it was fate or coincidence. Her drunkenness that day led to some major twist in her life, and Nayeon was filled with gratitude for the experience. It never occurred to her that having a new neighbor would illuminate some part of her.
