The King and Queen stood there in front of the castle of the moon holding their new baby girl. Standing around them were their senshi, their friends who vowed their lives and sacrificed their dreams to protect their queen.
This future they were expecting had come, even if she wasn’t sure during the final battle it came, solely the reason was because she had never given up hope. Her daughter as well, the child had visited her from the future, even when she left, she came again in the darkness of the battle to help her mother. As the queen looked down at the pink haired babe, she couldn’t feel anything but pride and joy despite the weariness of new motherhood.
As the sun set for Crystal Tokyo in the kingdom of the moon, they were sorrowful for themselves for a bit, their dreams had gone but their duty to protect their queen and past princess was always there.
She may have never been a doctor, she never became head priestess, she never got to open a flower shop and bakery with the love of her life or she never became an idol (the chances were slim to begin with). Despite that they were happy, because the ending would be that they were sharing their lives with those they loved.
This would be the life they would all be living until the end, no matter how beautiful or precious this life would be it wouldn’t last forever. When their queen would reign Cosmos, they would all be gone. When that time would come, they would hope for rebirth where they could meet again seeing each other smiling not in the moonlit night but in the sunlight of day.
As fate was destined, they could never know anything aside from that they should treasure these beautiful moments. Because on the day the sun set, their Usagi was their Neo Queen Serenity but when the moon rose, they realised she was always going to be their Usagi.
The eight senshi looked at their king, queen and princess, smiling, mumbling sweet nothings, all in awe of the small lady, the pink haired bunny they always knew.
“The time has come, although I may have never got to become an idol, I’m happy. Seeing you hold your baby and protecting our world from evil, like you promised you would do. I’m proud of you Neo Queen Serenity.” Venus said with a smile. As bittersweet as it was, Venus always knew she was the leader and her first vow was to protect her Princess and it had only taken her courage and acceptance.
Mars agreed, squeezing Venus’s hand saying “We’re proud of you, Usagi.”; she winked.
The queen stood there beside her king holding their daughter, smiling at the words of her dearest friends. As proud of herself as she was, she missed her old self, she missed the klutzy odango- blonde, who would transform into the courageous and kind, eternal Sailor Moon.
As grateful as she was for her new life, she felt sorrowful of her old one she left behind. Then suddenly, the king looked over her and whispered;
“From the time the sun rises, to the time it sets and when the moon rises into the starry night; you’ll always be my Usako.” Enyimion leaned in, kissing her cheek.
Suddenly that sorrowful feeling had gone away, from the beginning to the end her soul will always be the same, as well as the one she loved; her forever ‘Mamo-chan’. The life she would be living till the day she reigned Cosmos would be a beautiful one.
She sighed, two pairs of blue eyes, one of her own courtesy, the other of her lover; locking in with another. Before she knew it, the moon rabbit she let out a few words;
“At first I was sorrowful but you, my Mamo-chan, as well as my senshi have reminded me that the universe had done this for a reason. I’m happy, very happy, that for the remainder of this life as queen I will be surronded by the ones I love most. Because the sun set and the moon rose, we were given a beautiful ending where we will spend the rest of our lives together.” The queen stood there in happy tears, there was no reason to cry in sorrow as she had the ones she loved to always make her the name her mother gave her on the moonlit
night she was born; ‘Usagi’.
