Despite the whole lady bone demon situation had passed,Red Son actually wished to spend more time with Mei,the dragon horse girl he have a mini crush on.Red Son realized that Mei used to invite him out a lot to hang out with him in the city,but recently he just knew something must have happened to her.No more texts,no more calls.No matter how much he tried texting her and checking her live streaming accounts,everything just went quiet.Red Son always watches the live stream,in fact the first to get in there and watch her do silly stuff,but now he receives no notifications from her,like literally nothing for a week.This is getting so serious to the point that Red Son starts having small mental breakdowns,unable to see Mei being in her usual chaotic hapy self,now he is left alone,all alone.The only way to find out where Mei had gone to is to ask Mei´s bestfriend,Mk.Its now midnight,but due to the breakdowns coming in once again,Red Son have no time to rest.He quickly changed into his usual attire and sprint out of his realm,making his way through the empty streets to Pigsy´s Noodles store,where Mk apartment is at.
¨Noodle boy,wake up and open this damn window.NOW!¨ Mk jumped from his bed and instantly turned around to face Red Son at the window.That fire demon had somehow managed to make his way to the top floor of the apartment without being noticed by anyone.¨What are you doing here?¨ Mk whispered,dragging Red Son into the apartment through the window.Red Son ignored all of Mk´s questions and plot down to the floor beside the window.Mk can tell that Red Son have difficulties sleeping that night since there are dark eye rings under his eyes and dried translucent tear streams can be seen from the cheeks of Red Son´s gloomy face. ¨What´s wrong?¨ Mk asked,leaning against the wall and slowly sliding down and taking his seat beside the unusual Red Son.¨Did something happen to Mei?Is she busy?Or something worse had happened to her?¨ Red Son spluttered the words out so fast that Mk couldn´t think fast enough on why is he asking those questions.¨Actually,I must admit,something super bad happened to Mei,and kind of surprising that you are saying her name for the first time.¨ Mk chuckled awkwardly,trying to lighten up the mood but to no avail. Red Son clutches one of his fists,trying to hold back his annoyance and tears,and also maybe his worries,unable to hang out with Mei is literally one of his biggest fear,he couldn´t imagine what had happened to the cheery little girl he liked.¨Ok imma just say this fast,Red Son,she´s hospitalised.Kinda a long story but i think her samadhi fire powers had act up again in her she have more burns now that´s why.¨ Mk quickly explained,not daring to glance at the prince in his eyes.Red Son stared at Mk in shock,not knowing how to continue the conversation after hearing the tragedy. ¨Noodle boy,tell me where she is right now,please.¨ Red Son pleaded softly,a look of fear in him,Mk can tell that Red Son is tearing up as he saw a drop of tears sliding down the side of his face.Mk quickly grabbed a post stick with informations on where Mei is and a tissue box from his desk,immediately shoving both items to the prince´s hands.Red Son looked surprised,but didn´t question Mk for his kindness.He quickly muttered a ´thank you´ to Mk before running down the apartment.
Its past midnight now,but for some reason the weather starts turning to a dark turn.Almost immediately,Red Son can feel the rain drops dripping onto his coat and sleeveless turtleneck.But he doesn´t care,his mind is now just Mei,and her only,nothing else,not even his dearest parents are in his mind.He just want to check on Mei and make sure she´s ok.With his past shitty experience with the world´s most dangerous weapon,he knew that Mei have no chance in handling it longer than he did.If she have an outburst again,the whole world is doom,worse is that Red Son might not even see her again,he can´t lose her.Red Son must admit,being by Mei´s side everyday during her fire training is literally the best thing ever,he loved her smile,her strength and her personality,despite all her whining during the training,Red Son does not mind,he just likes everything about her.As he thinks more of his crush,his heart start pounding faster as he dashed through the dark streets and roads,finally reaching the hospital where Mei was in.He went to back of the hospital without being noticed by the securities and quickly used his fire powers to teleport his way up to the room where Mei is sleeping in,actually not really sleeping,Mei is actually having a breakdown in the room.
That lonely dull girl lies on the hospital bed,her face,arms and legs are covered with bandages and plasters,she sobbed quietly and hugged the blankets tightly,trying not to cry.She can´t possibly let any nurse of doctors see her like this,or even her friends,but everyone is busy,Mei knew no one would pay her a vist,not even stay by her side at night and comfort her.She wiped away her tears as she watched the rain streaming down the large windows outside her room when she suddenly hear a ´whoosh´ sound appearing from behind.She slowly turned around,seeing her ´enemy´ sitting on the floor,groaning in pain as he tries to stand up and adjust his vision in the dark room. ¨Redboy?What are you doing here?¨ Mei looks a bit scared that Red Son will notice her crying.She try looking away and shifting herself further away from Red Son,but only to be pulled into a tight hug. Mei gasps in surprise,but didn´t push him away.The room went silent,only just Red Son´s deep breathing can be heard clearly.¨I THOUGHT YOU ARE DEAD OR SOMETHING WHY DIDN´T YOU TELL ME I WAS SO WORRIED.¨ Red Son grabbed Mei´s shoulder tighter as he said those words,only to see Mei looking more sad and dull than usual.¨I don´t want to worry you ya know,I should´ve controlled the fire better,I´m sorry to disappoint you I..¨ Mei stuttered before bursting into tears and hugged Red Son tightly. The prince watched her sobbing as her small head rested on his chest.Red Son sighed,lifting an arm and place it around Mei´s body and patting her,trying to calm her down.
After a while,Mei stopped crying.Now she´s just sleeping in Red Son´s arms,not wanting to let go.Knowing that he can´t escape her strong grasps,Red Son have no choice but to sleep beside her on the same hospital bed and stay by her side before any nurse or doctor came in and caught him for sneaking into the hospital.But Red Son didn´t regret his decision,he really wished to be by Mei´s side and helped her in her tough journeys along the way.
He will do anything for her.
