Chapter Text
Madison Montgomery hated her parents. She hated them for using her to get money. She hated them for exposing her at such a young age. She hated them for not giving a shit about her.
When Madison got back from her second trip from hell, all she could do was pick up every single sign that the coven did not want her around. She figured that they could not give a shit about her either. After all, why would they? Considering all the problems she’d caused them in the past. It wouldn’t be so bad if they had all of their post-apocalyptic memories back, but they did not. So she left.
Having nowhere to go and nothing to do, she decided to take a little trip to Wallace university to annoy the shit out of her sister.
And so that’s where she went, she snuck out of her room in the middle of the night and called an uber. Cordelia would probably be super pissed once she found out but Madison could not find it in herself to care about that.
When she arrived there, she was tired. Figured a coffee would help with that, so she entered the off-brand Starbucks and stood in line. She glanced down at her phone and that’s when she saw the message from Zoe.
It read.
Zoe: where the hell are you?
Madison bit her lip and sighed shakily wondering whether or not she should respond. She thought she probably should Seeing as the last time she mysteriously disappeared she was actually dead. But ultimately decided against it when she realised that they wouldn’t care if that were to happen again.
Being so caught up in her decision she hadn’t realised that the line had rapidly deteriorated leaving her in front of the line. She heard the guy serving the coffees groan.
She half smiled awkwardly before clearing her throat “I’ll have a flat white thanks.”
He just glared blankly at her.
Madison rolled her eyes “What?”
“What game are you playing?” he asked.
Madison sighed in annoyance, “look, I have no idea who you are or what your problem is but I’m extremely tired and in need of a drink that’s full of caffeine. So if you could please stop glaring at me that would be highly appreciated.”
He gave her a disturbed look before begrudgingly going to make her drink. Madison moved over to the second of the store where she could pick it up. She took out her phone once more and rolled her eyes when she saw Zoe’s name on her screen once more.
Zoe: hello??
This time Madison decided to switch off her phone completely.
“Here you go.” the coffee dude said, holding out her flat white.
“Thanks,” Madison replied while taking the drink. She paused for a moment, “next time you try to accuse someone of something, make sure that they’re not that ‘said persons’ twin sister first.”
The guy paused. “Chanel has a twin sister?”
Madison smiled bitterly. “Yeah, ever heard of Madison Montgomery? famous actress?”
“Holy shit, I can’t believe I’ve never made that connection before.”
“Mmm yeah,” Madison replied, pursing her lips in displeasure “see ya.” she said before turning around and walking out of the store.
Madison hung around that area until night fell. Breaking into the large sorority house was easy. Especially when nobody bothered to lock the door. She walked into a commotion in the hallways, not bothering to care what it was about. She threw her suit on one couch and collapsed on the other, reopening her phone despite her desire to ignore any messages. The desire was not ignored though to avoid replying she decided to distract herself with candy crush.
The sound in the hallways quietened down, and Madison was curious about what the commotion was about. Until she glanced out the window. She saw not only her sister but several other people that looked as though they were carrying a dead body.
Figures the day she showed up would be the day her sister was involved in a murder.

Madison continued to walk around the hallways of the unnecessarily large sorority house. She even took a nice little trip up to her sister’s room to see what pretty little trinkets she had been given. Which were apparently a lot.
By the time she had gotten back to where she had come from, the room was crowded. She decided to stand to the side and just watch her sister's ranting. Silently laughing to herself at the pettiness of the whole situation. But it wasn’t until Chanel walked off with some blonde chick that Madison decided to reveal herself.
“Is it just me or is she a little too egotistic?” Madison asked no one in particular.
“What the fuck” she heard go around.
Madison smiled bitterly at everyone.
One girl, in particular, was fuming. She wore an old fashioned ponytail and her outfit looked like something Zoe Benson would have worn if she was particularly drunk one night.
They let out a shrieky yelp. “What is this?”
Another who wore earmuffs looked at the shrieky girl with an eye roll.
“That’s Madison Montgomery, Chanel’s twin sister,” she said in a monotone voice.
Madison looked at her in mock amazement, “holyshit, somebody finally made the connection, I was beginning to think that we didn’t even look alike at all.” she paused judgmentally looking around at everybody around her. “What are you doing anyway? Something about hell week?”
The girl in the neck brace commented next, “yes.” she started, “it's when we go through a bunch of difficult and possibly humiliating tasks to prove that we’re worthy to be in this sorority.” she said, adding a little snort to the end.
Madison let out an uninterested noise, she really could not care less about some hell week that her stupid sister was planning.
“Well, have fun with that im- '' but she did not get to finish her sentence because her phone rang.
She rolled her eyes possibly the most she ever had when to no surprise it was Zoe calling her. Being fed up with it she decided to just get it over and done with.
“What?” Madison questioned immediately.
‘Where the hell are you?’ Zoe did not sound happy.
“Almost sounded worried there for a second Benson.” Madison snarkily replied back, glancing around the room she made eye contact with the earmuff girl and narrowed her eyes.
‘Of course, I'm worried, you take off in the middle of the night and don’t tell a soul where you’re going, you could be dead at the bottom of a cliff for all we know.’
looking away from the awkward eye contact, Madison glanced around the group taking in each person individually. One person stood out to her, however, the creepy unwavering smile on the face of the neck brace girl was itching at something in Madison's mind that she couldn't quite place.
Madison sighed in reluctance, “look, I just had to get away for a while.”
‘Away from what?’
Madison rolled her eyes at the sheer ignorance and poignantly glared at the women in the room before stalking out of it, where no one could hear her.
“Away from the coven obviously Zoe, I don't want to spend my time in a place where I’m not wanted,” Madison explained exaggeratedly.
‘But we do.’
Madison scoffed but chose not to argue, after all, they would never understand what she was going through nor how her emotions worked. “Either way I need a break and by harassing me twenty-four seven you are not giving me that privilege, so go tell whoever is a part of that minuscule population that is concerned about my safety that I am doing just fine and then leave me alone!”
Madison pressed the end call button before Zoe could get another word in, feeling dizzy Madison stumbled onto one of the couches before unwillingly falling unconscious.
Her mind swept groggy flashes of blood and visions of the end of the world before a large thump and several screams broke her haze with a gasp. She quickly stood up and smoothed out her clothing before quickly walking in the direction of all the chaos.
What she saw did not make her feel any better, instead, she saw a bloody mess, the remains of a girl so horrifically placed it almost made Madison want to faint.
“What the fuck!?” Madison screamed.
