Chapter Text
“It’s raining.”
“Obviously I know that,” came the grumbled response as the other shook the rain out of his hair. “It’s really coming down, I know it was forecasted but seriously…”
Kei ushered him in, clicking his tongue.
“I’ll get you a towel and a change of clothes, come on.”
“Do you have anything that’ll fit me properly?”
It was a joke because Hikaru had definitely borrowed his clothes before, and their difference in height wasn’t that big. If anything, their body shape was the most different and it was why Kei loved hugging him. Kei grabbed him a towel and a loose fitting pair of sweats and t-shirt that he could wear, plopping down on his bed instead of giving him any privacy to change, which Hikaru didn’t care as he stripped out of his wet clothes.
“I have to admit, I’m kind of glad this happened,” Kei admitted, eyeing Hikaru’s body as he changed. “I wasn’t really feeling camping today. Now it’s the perfect weather to stay in and cuddle.”
Hikaru flashed a pout at him as he got changed into the clothes that Kei offered him, toweling his hair. “But I wanted to take you to my favorite spot since we have the day off.”
Kei would agree that it was a rare occurrence to have the day off together, but he also felt like the rain was a blessing in disguise. Even though he was the outdoor type more than usual lately he still wanted to be able to stay in and get some quality rest.
“I know. Come on, I’ll let you make me coffee.”
Hikaru blew out a sigh but it was followed by a smile as he followed Kei to the kitchen.

The two of them wound up drinking coffee, eating snacks during a movie that neither of them really paid attention to. Kei was nearly dozing off on Hikaru’s shoulder, jostled by the sudden movement as Hikaru sat up.
“Kei-chan!”
He sounded excited, but Kei still made a non-commital grunt in response.
“Wake up. The rain stopped, it’s sunny now!”
“So?” Came his sleepy mumble, nuzzling into Hikaru’s shoulder which brought a small giggle from the other.
“We can still head out now. Please?”
Kei let out a soft sigh and rubbed his eyes tiredly, seeing Hikaru peering at him hopefully. Somehow, he found it hard to say no to him.
“Okay. Let’s go.”
