“Why did you drag me out here?”
You sighed.
This was about the billionth time he asked you that since leaving the hideout.
“We’re going on a side quest.” Maybe talking his lingo would chill him out.
“Side quest?” He echoed. “What kind?”
You wracked your brain for more gamer-speak. “A fetch quest.”
“Lame.”
You rolled your eyes. “Well it’s your fault for being a noob at world quests.”
“Excuse me?” He roughly stopped you from continuing. “Did you forget who you were talking to?”
“Nope.” You removed his hand, “I’m talking to a leader who's also a noob.” then dashed off into the park.
Unfortunately, the item shop that held your quest item wasn’t there yet, so you had to camp out on a bench.
You intended to just listen to some music and people watch,
But the game he was playing on his switch caught your attention.
“You should put that pin on Minamimoto, so it can mutate.”
“But I don’t wanna change his input.”
You shrugged. “Yeah, but it’s better to mutate it now rather than after you beat the game.”
He opened the menu, “Any other pins that can be mutated now?”
For the next 30 minutes, you helped Shigaraki optimize and level his pins.
Once you heard the ring of your item shop’s bell, you stood with a stretch.
“Time to finish the quest.”
The two of you casually strolled over and you asked,
“Can I get to double scoops of vanilla please?”
You were able to get the ice cream and exit the park before he started up again.
“The quest was to get ice cream ?”
“No, the real quest was to get you out of the house.”
