Acting on a movie besides the famous model and designer Yves Kloss was a dream come true, but what good would coe from falling in love with a celebrity?

Work Text:

You were living so many people's dream, staring in a movie besides a bunch of celebrities.

Not that you had asked for this. Not even auctioned for such role. It was a mystery why you, of all people had been chosen to play the main character of this movie, although the reason for them to chose someone who wasn't even an actress or aspired to be was because they wanted someone who would be more natural.

And everything was way too much natural, to the point you barely could separate reality from fiction, because all the other main actors were little to no different from their characters, and you were supposed to stay together in a house during filming. At first you didn't know if they were training by keeping their act up even outside the set or if these were the true personalities of these actors. Now you knew it was the later. And it led to a problem for you.

You knew it was supposed to be a romance movie from the start, but not who was supposed to be your character’s love interest. Still, you found yourself falling for Yves, and it was as if your characters’ relationship progressed the same way.

Except that, behind the cameras, you were sure your feelings were one-sided and that no one knew about them.

Then the kiss had happened.

You knew it would. It was natural progression for the story you were filming that your characters would confess and kiss. You had only hoped it would be at the very ending of the movie and you would have less time to interact with the real Yves afterward. Especially because you had let yourself feel the moment on a very personal level.

And how could you not? It was probably your only opportunity to live a little of your dream, through your character. But you couldn’t face Yves outside of the set afterward.

Surprisingly, you had managed to avoid him, despite living in the same house. But your luck ran out a couple of days later.

Many of the other guys were always pulling you around, some with more of second intentions than others. That day you had been surrounded, and saved from that mess by Yves, who insisted you help him in the kitchen, practically dragging you there.

You sighed in relief, momentarily forgetting your problem with Yves, glad to have escaped the awkward situation.

“Thank you for saving me, Yves.”

“You’re welcome. Not that I was trying to save you. It’s just that Clavis has been here, which means I have to cook, clean and figure out where everything is, because he always makes a mess of things. So I needed help, and you were the best person for the job, that’s all.”

“Sure.” You chuckled.

You knew full well that Yves was just trying to explain himself as a cover. Especially since he wasn’t one to ask for help.

Deep down, Yves always cared but, he usually tried to hide it.

The two of you worked nearly in silence for a while, only with Yves giving some instructions or asking for things. You had a smile on your face all the time, and sometimes caught yourself glancing his way, for no reason other than finding yourself drawn to him.

Yves was always so elegant in all he did. No wonder he had been a model. Guys like him were way beyond your league. You were lucky you had become even remotely friendly.

Were you friends, though? Yves had never said you were, but sometimes he pulled you around like this. Not much different from the other guys you knew weren’t trying to flirt, except that, coming from Yves, who wasn’t usually friendly, it made a difference.

It was as if he enjoyed your company. You knew he had better options if he only wanted help, and could have dismissed you already if he had only stepped in to save you.

Sometimes you got the impression you could be more, though. Lingering gazes and touches were becoming more common, as did some praise you were surprised to get, considering how rude you thought him in the beginning.

But you didn’t hold any illusions. Once the filming was done, you would go your separate ways, never for your paths to cross again.

“Wha-what are you staring at me for?” Yves asked in a fluster.

“Sorry.” You looked away, the feelings of awkwardness from the last couple of days returning.

The kiss had made things between you this awkward?

That meant, if you wanted things to go back to normal, you would have to face the situation. If it would ever go back.

Taking a deep breath, you looked back at him.

“Did the kiss bother you that much?” Yves asked first, barely glancing your way.

“No!” You rushed to explain. “Of course not.”

It did, but not in the way he was asking.

“Then why were you avoiding me? And acting all strange now? It makes me restless too.”

His words sounded harsh, but he looked relieved. That gave you a little hope, and the final boost to get some answers.

“Another kiss would fix that.”

That was not how you had hoped, though, but the words came out before you could stop them. You regretted it the moment the words registered in your brain. That was definitely not the way to approach someone like Yves.

“What?! Don-don’t you have any shame? Saying something like this here!”

You thought of changing your approach, but he looked so adorable you couldn’t resist teasing.

“Here? Does it mean it would be okay if we were somewhere private?”

The blush on his cheeks darkened and you chuckled, loving his reactions.

“Help me finish here and we can talk about it.” He said hastily, returning to work.

His words gave you hope, and you knew it would be hard to concentrate on any work with the growing excitement.

The two of you exchanged a glance, and you noticed a small smile on his face. You couldn’t help but kiss his cheek.

Working side by side like this would be really difficult, but it was clear at least you would have a good time.
