"Huh, there's a new sweet shop open! I wonder if Journal would like it?" It was a cute little shop, selling candy, fudge, brownies, cupcakes, peppermint bark, and all sorts of sweets. Both Treasure Chest and Journal had pretty big sweet tooths, and they loved all things sugary. Treasure Chest considers bringing Journal on a date there as he readjusts his gloves and continues his walk around town.

"I already told you, it's a secret!" Treasure Chest replies with faux anger, though the big grin that overtakes his face reveals his true emotions.
"I know, I know. But you know how much I hate secrets being kept away from me!" Journal starts laughing a bit from Treasure Chest's failed pout.
"You'll love it, I swear!"
"You promise?"
"I promise."

Journal and Treasure Chest enter the sweet shop holding hands after a few minutes of walking and talking (and flirting). Looking at the menu a bit, they get to the front of the line. Treasure Chest orders their favorites, peppermint bark for Journal, and fudge for himself.
After paying and receiving their order, they went back outside and walked to a park with their arms linked together. Between the day Treasure Chest found the shop and now, it had gotten quite a bit colder, since winter is coming around the corner.

"I absolutely DESPISE having glasses in cold weather! I just want to be able to see while I drink hot coffee, how crazy is that to ask for?" The couple stopped at a coffee shop and got some warm drinks.
"According to the universe, you're insane for asking that." Treasure Chest places a soft kiss on his partner's cover.
They sit in comfortable silence eating their sweets and drinking coffee. Wrapping his arm around Treasure Chest's body, Journal leans into him.
After a bit of cuddling, Journal speaks up. "I love you so much hun, I don't think I ever tell you that enough."
"You tell me that so much! Not just by your words, but by your actions, love."
Journal readjusts so that he's almost laying on Treasure Chest.
"Mmm…"
"Sleepy?"
"Mhmm…"
"Let's go home then."
Gently dragging Journal to stand, the couple walk back home.
