Chapter Text
You were out on a walk and came back to your village, but when you came back the village was in a panic. You ran and looked around, everyone was running back to their homes, locking the doors behind them. You heard a deep laugh coming from the left of the fountain. A big shadow appeared on the mountain wall, you stood frozen for a second before you shook your head and ran to a alley not to far away. Your house was to close to the fountain for you to run in for safety. You pressed your body against the wall in the alley. Then you heard a voice, you looked around the corner to see a kid in black skeleton outfit with a green five on it. The kid had his hood up and you saw the ninjas standing on the right of the fountain, ready to attack. You heard the young boy say, "It is I, Lloyd Garmadon!" You sighed and came out from the alley, Lloyd kept shouting, "I demand all the candy in town, or else!"
You looked at the ninjas and saw that they all looked disappointed. As you got closer you heard Lloyd say, "Uh, give me your candy or else I'll release the Serpentine on you!" The people in your village started to laugh at Lloyd. Lloyd then took out a can of fake snakes and opened the lid, the fake snakes spread out among the villagers. Some of the villagers started to throw vegetables at Lloyd. Lloyd complained and said, "Uh! No, wait! I asked for candy, not vegetables. I hate vegetables!"
You overheard the ninjas talking and the red ninja said, "He's gonna have to do a lot better. Than use an old bedtime story to scare people." The white ninja responded, "The Serpentine are real, Kai. They are not something to joke about." Kai said, "Serpentine? Real? We're talking about the ancient race of snake people. Who once ruled Ninjago and were supposedly locked underground?" The blue ninja jumped into the conversation and said, "Uh, sealed in five different tombs to separate the warring tribes, and ensure they don't unify to exact their revenge upon those who put them there." Kai said, "It was an old wives' tales, to teach kids not to poke our noses where they don't belong. Don't you think it's a little suspicious, no one's ever found one of their tombs?" The black ninja also jumped in to the conversation and said, "That's because you'd be a fool to look for one." He followed up with, "If there was anything I hated more than dragons, it was snakes rubber or not." The black ninja turned to the villagers and said, "Don't worry, folks. We'll take care of this. Nothing to see here."
They picked Lloyd up and carried him away. You were curious to see what they do to Lloyd and followed them. You saw them hang Lloyd on one of the store signs. Lloyd screamed and said, "You've just made me your nemesis! Mark my words, you'll pay for this!" The white ninja walked up to the lady selling candy and bought some and handed it out to the other ninjas. The villagers laughed at Lloyd as he screamed and shouted at them. The black ninja teased Lloyd and said, "Next time, try paying for your candy." Kai said, Crime doesn't pay muchacho. You can take that to the bank." The blue ninja teased Lloyd as well and took a bite of his cotton candy and said, "Mm, cotton candy." Lloyd screamed while the ninjas left.
You looked at Lloyd and laughed a little. You walked back home and ended up on your sofa. Your eyes grew heavier and heavier, you closed your eyes and fell asleep on the couch. When you woke up again you could hear people screaming outside. You walked over to your front door and opened it slightly and saw Lloyd coming out of the building beside yours. You heard him say, "Take the candy. Take it all!" You were about to shrug it off and just go back inside, when you saw a blue snake person come out behind him. You saw a whole army of snake people walk in to your village. You closed the door and walked to your bedroom. You had always had a baseball bat beside your bed if someone broke in. You took the bat and walked out and tried to fight the snakes. But to no one's surprise you had been hypnotized.
Your vision became red and the sounds around you became muffled. You heard Lloyd shout something and then the general rattled his tail and shouted out an order, "Seize them!" You quickly followed the other villagers. You saw the ninjas in front of you running away. You tried to follow them but they were to fast.
When they came back and started to attack the snake people. You saw the black ninja in front of you. You tried to attack him, but he only avoided all your attacks. He grabbed your arm and he was about to push a cart in front of you when you then heard Lloyd's muffled voice and a follow up of a order from the general, "Retreat!" The snakes started to retreat out of the village. You felt the black ninja let go of your arm, you stood still and stared at him.
You then saw the black ninja kick the general in the face. The general dropped his staff. After the black ninja said something you couldn't hear the general slithered away. The black ninja proceeded to pick up the staff from the ground. When the black ninja looked up again the general's right-hand man rattled his tail and was ready to hypnotize him, you heard him say, "Look into my eyes. I control you." The black ninja started to repeat the words, "You control..."
You heard a muffled girl's voice calling out to the black ninja and he regained his consciousness. You saw the girl kick the snake that tried to hypnotize the black ninja in the face. You saw the black ninja run over to the fountain and put the staff in, you saw that a light smoke was spreading and making the villagers turn back to normal. You were to far away from the water and there was no one around you to push the smoke towards you. You stood still and felt a hand around your wrist, you tried to attack the person who had grabbed your hand and saw that it was the black ninja. He gently dragged you over to the water stream and pushed some smoke on you, your vision got clear again and the sounds around you were no longer muffled.
You looked up at the black ninja, he looked at you and let go of your wrist. You felt the warmth around your wrist slowly disappear. You looked down and said, "Thank you." In a soft voice. The black ninja looked at you and said, "No problem, stay safe out there." After he said it he walked away with the other ninjas. You walked back home and locked the door behind you. You walked upstairs to your room and changed in to your pyjamas. You laid down on your bed and thought about what happend today and fell asleep.
