Chapter Text
With a few clicks and turning, Marc's doorknob was turned. The dark haired owner entered the magnificent room.
He threw himself on the bed, his face buried in the soft green blanket with a few footballs.
He snorted and snorted again. He was bored to death. He turned his head towards the window in search of something to entertain himself, even if it was just for a minute.
The beautiful golden light of the sun, which looked like fields of wheat, penetrated through the shining transparent glass and illuminated the little young man's room with all its splendor.
Marc looked at that light and his view from the window, despite being a little too far from the target to get a wider view.
Although Marc preferred his beautiful old hometown of Paris, he enjoyed seeing the cobbled streets of London and what little view he had of Big Ben, as the city's mighty clock was some distance from his home. Marc wasn't chic enough to live so close to one of the most famous landmarks in the British city.
The dark haired looked away a little and began to trace his green emerald eyes through the things that were near the window. A wardrobe, a wooden desk with drawers, papers, boxes...
Marc got up from his precious bed and headed to the desk. He decided to have a look at it. Maybe he'd find something interesting to do.
He started by looking at the drawers. To tell you the truth, he hadn't looked at them for a while. In the first drawer he found some stickers, stamps, hair ties and a bow.
A smile popped in his face at the memory of the bow. It had been one of Marinette's birthday presents. If he wasn't mistaken, she had also given him a handmade beret. He didn't remember where he had put it, but it was probably somewhere in the wardrobe.
Yeah, that first drawer was kind of empty. Next.
On the next were some beaded bracelets he had made. He decided to put them on, since they looked so good on him. Underneath them, there was a paper with a shopping list.
'Why do i keep this?'
He crumpled up the small piece of paper and threw it into the wastebasket beside the desk.
When he looked back at the compartment, he noticed that there was a small box, with the lid in a green tone and the rest blue. He didn't quite remember what exactly he kept there, which made him a bit curious.
He took the small box from its resting place and placed it gently on top of the desk, then pulled out the wooden chair, which would have been quite painful to sit on if a cushion had not been there.
The lid was opened and the inside was revealed: there were some papers and a necklace.
'This necklace...'
That's when he remembered the day he won that necklace. It had been a gift from Nathaniel in celebration of the release of their first comic book. That day, Marc had been very happy, not only for the release and the feedback from people in the art room, but for the gift.
Involuntarily he blushed a little, just a little. Maybe if it had been his self from a few years ago, his face would come close to resembling a tomato.
He placed the pretty necklace with a red heart in the side of the box and kept having a look into it.
