Chapter Text
It was after school and the bell just rang. Both Nagi and Reo got up from their chairs and started packing up their things.
“Alright did you get everything, Nagi? Make sure you don’t leave anything behind,” Reo said.
“Um Reo,” Nagi said in a soft voice, almost a whisper. Reo turns around and sees Nagi staring right into the depths of his soul. Scared shitless he jumped back a little.
“Uh hey? Is there something wrong, Nagi?”
“No, not really... I wanted to ask you something. It is a little random though,” Nagi replied.
“Ask away then! come on, I don't have all day,” Reo said with a small chuckle.
Nagi glanced back up at Reo. His eyes softened a little every time the purple-haired male spoke to him in such a heartwarming and playful tone. He wonders what he possibly could have done to have someone like Reo be interested in someone like him.
“Well I was wondering what type of girls you like?” he asked.
Reo's eyes widened for a second and he was a little taken aback by what Nagi had just asked him. But he doesn’t question it. He simply answers the question honestly.
“I’m into older women I suppose, I feel like it would be better for my father's company to marry a woman with more experience with life in general. Also, her being in the business industry would most definitely be a bonus!” Reo responded.
Reo then takes a moment to look back at Nagi and he sees that the lifeless expression on his face still hasn’t changed at all.
Reo sighed. Nagi will always be Nagi, he supposed.
“Also why are you asking me this anyway? It's kind of out of character for you to be asking me about this kind of stuff.” Reo asked, looking at the white-haired boy with one of his eyebrows slightly raised.
Nagi then looked back up at Reo for a split second, but not even a second later looked back down at his phone.
“No reason, I was just wondering.”
“You have got to be kidding Nagi.. well if that’s all you have to ask I have to get going, my father needs me home by 3 o'clock-”
“How about men?” Nagi asked, cutting off Reo mid-sentence.
“What?” Reo looks back at Nagi with a dumbfounded expression on his face.
“What’s your type in men?” Nagi asks again.
Reo doesn’t know how to respond to this at all. He was thrown completely off guard by what Nagi had just asked him.
Reo raised a brow and simply answered, “I’m not interested in men,” he said as he walked over to the classroom door about to leave, “What about you though? What’s your type?” Reo asks not even questioning the conversation they're having right now.
Nagi looked up back at Reo with his usual blank face and replied, “Hm. I guess someone like you.”
“Really?” Reo raised an eyebrow at Nagi, locking eyes with him in the process. Nagi quickly averts his eyes not wanting to look at Reo any longer than he already did.
“That’s great dude! So you want a rich girl, who does everything for you?” Reo said grinning.
“Uh yeah sure…”
“Oh, that’s great Nagi! Maybe I can set you up on a date with one of the girls at our school,” Reo leaned against the door frame looking back at Nagi. “Or if you want I can set you up with a girl from a different school if you prefer.”
Reo continues. “I have my connections, and I have a lot of rich friends so-”
Nagi interrupts Reo mid-sentence. “No it’s fine Reo, just forget about this conversation. You said you had to leave right? You should get going then you don’t want your father waiting for you right?,” Nagi said with a faint smile. Barely noticeable.
But of course, Reo noticed.
Reo always notices the smallest details about him and for some reason, it made Nagi happy knowing someone cared that much about him, to notice the small things that he did or said.
No one has ever been interested in a slacker like him.
Reo’s eyes lit up for just a split second, he then gave Nagi a big wide smile. “Hey Nagi, you should smile a bit more, your smile is really cute.” Was the last thing Reo had said before he exited the door leaving Nagi alone in the classroom.
Nagi didn’t even have a chance to respond to him but he thought about the last thing Reo said before he left.
“Your smile is really cute.”
Nagi slightly blushed at the comment Reo made about him. “Maybe I should smile a little bit more.”
