Work Text:

They were walking down the street on a casual Sunday morning, passing by a marketplace with crowds full of people. They weren't planning to buy anything from any of the stalls, that is until Sasara's strong sense of smell picks up on this ambrosial and sweet smell of Japanese sweets coming from this one particular stall just in the outskirts of the market.

Sasara spots the stall in almost an instant, with its bright and colourful decoration. The stall seemed to be run by a lanky guy with snow white hair with a black blindfold covering his eyes that props up his hair which gives him a spikier appearance. Sasara's usually not the one to judge someone by their appearance but, surely it's fine to think there's something odd about the guy.

He brushes off the thought and locks eyes with Samatoki, the guy that had been accompanying him in his morning stroll.

Samatoki quickly took note of Sasara's sweet tooth and nodded. "I'll pay, you grab whatever you want." His expression remained firm but understanding.

Sasara beamed. He was more than delighted to hear that, and he quickly ran to the stall.

The stall varied in sweets, ranging from mochi to taiyaki. He decided to look around more for stuff that he wanted.

"Welcome, dear customer!" The stall owner cheerfully said. He had a lot of enthusiasm for someone that owns a stall with barely any customer. He had actually wondered why this stall wasn't filled with customers, its variety of sweets was sure to attract customers, not to mention the exaggerated amount of decorations there are.

The stall owner seemed to pick up on his indecisiveness and decided to speak up. "Our Kikufuku Mochi is definitely a must try!"

He continues, "A sweet rice cake that is even softer than a marshmallow and very stretchy with a cream filling, similar to a custard doughnut." The owner hands him a bag full of those particular sweets.

Sasara tilts his head slightly, not knowing what to do with the given bag. "How mu–" he tried to ask but was quickly cut off as he was handed another bag filled with other variants of sweets he assumed.

The owner wiped his hands before saying, "All free, buddy!" He gives Sasara a thumbs up with his shit-eating grin.

Sasara was dumbfounded. Had he unconventionally found a hidden gem amongst all the stalls in the marketplace just from an everyday morning stroll?.. He thought.

He shook his head. "No way! I possibly couldn't take all of these sweets for free!" He argues back, though it's not like he's going to use his own money.

"Nuh uh." The stall owner crosses his arms.

Before he knew it, Sasara had unknowingly opened his eyes and blinked twice. Not to speak of almost slapping himself across the face to make sure this interaction was real.

He opened his mouth to argue back but nothing escaped past his lips. Instead, Samatoki who had been sitting on a bench from across the stall had come to approach him when he noticed a small commotion going on.

"What's going on here?" He had put a hand on Sasara's shoulder, and him not wanting to admit it, the contact made his ears go slightly red.

"It's nothing! Everything's fine—don't worry, Toki!–" he says as he tries to push Samatoki away, but it was to no avail as he stood exactly in the same spot without budging an inch.

He snickers. "Sure, that's totally what was going on." He pauses to face the stall owner. "Listen, we–"

"Are you his boyfriend?" Samatoki was cut off by the stall owner. They both freeze as this whole interaction had completely turned into an interrogation.

Sasara opened his mouth but quickly closed it as he did not know how to respond to the question. Though, he was sure he had to be the one to reply as he could feel Samatoki next to him tense up.

He sighs. "Depict it whatever you want sir, but we're in a bit of a rush here so—we'll go!" He grabs a hold of Samatoki's hand. "Thank you for the sweets by the way!" He gave the stall owner a quick wave before fleeing from the place.

Samatoki seemed to have come back from his journey to space as he asked, "Wait—where are we going?!" He faltered a bit but their momentum didn't stop as they took a turn around the corner.

Sasara looked back at him saying, "To your house of course!" He gave him a cheeky grin.

He was about to tell him to slow down until he noticed a sports car coming their way at an alarmingly high speed. "SASARA, LOOK OUT–!"

His eyes widened, and that was the last thing he saw before a Huracán EVO, the evolution of the most successful V10-powered Lamborghini ever. With the result of fine-tuning and refining existing features, combined with new design solutions that increase performance, the car stands out for its ability to anticipate and cater to the driver’s behaviour, expectations and desires—crashes into them and they both lose consciousness.
