To the Dark Lord,
It is with deep regret and simultaneously vengeful melancholy that I write this. I am keenly aware that upon your discovery of this betrayal, I will long be perished and my flesh will be rotting the same as yours is, mine cadaverous and yours grasping to life. I only wish I could know what comes of this. I would soon be filling my eighteenth year in this world, and in the short few winters I have lived, I have many regrets that chip away at my heart: most of all, my decision to join your ranks and abandon my morals for the sake of my blood and kin. It is crucial for both my own heartsease in my final moments and, when I lay cold and lifeless, peaceful rest that you to know this: it was I who discovered your secret.
I have stolen this piece of your soul and dedicate mine to destroying it forthwith. Haunting me is the idea that we each summon our own demise. I beckon death and know I will soon return to dust in the hopes that when you meet your match, you will be mortal once more.
I die a devoted son and faithful servant.
