Love... A noun: an intense feeling of deep affection. It is fondness, tenderness, and warmth that glow in Carlos’ heart. It’s that feeling that makes every day so wonderful and worth living.
Today is a special day…a day meant only for lovers and soulmates. But they have only been dating for a few months, and on Valentine’s Day, Carlos is unsure how to express his love to TK.
The last time he did something sweet was a romantic dinner, and TK practically ran out of the room like his feet were on fire—TK was not ready to dive into a new relationship just yet. The sex was quick and easy to accept, but love…that came harder to TK because his last relationship burned out.
But time has passed, and they have grown much closer. TK trusts Carlos with his heart. Friends with benefits became devoted friends, then lovers, but still, Carlos is unsure how to make TK feel loved on this day of soulmates.
Should he go all-out? A big romantic dinner, a moonlight walk under a starry sky, and finishing big with making love to his boyfriend by the fireplace with rose petals scattered on the floor surrounding them with the sweet aroma? Or should he go low-key and simple—a box of chocolates, a beautiful bouquet of long-stemmed red roses, and a day in bed cuddling?
Carlos goes with a gift from the heart. On this morning, TK wakes up in bed, warm and blissful. He opens his eyes to the most beautiful sight in the world. Carlos sits beside him, holding out the pretty flowers. His eyes sparkle as he smiles fondly. TK grins from ear to ear…. If he thought he loved his boyfriend before, now his heart has grown two sizes with love and affection.
He sits up, leaning over to gently kiss Carlos as his heart skips a beat. “I love you.”
Pleased that he made TK grin, Carlos smiles and kisses TK as he hugs him. It felt like Carlos was the everlasting love of his life, loving him in ways he had never been show love from anyone before. He filled TK’s heart with joy—Carlos was the man who could make TK laugh and smile even on rainy, cloudy days.
“I love you so much.” TK whispers as he snuggles up for a hug in Carlos’ arms. Carlos blushes and grins like a sweetheart fool as he gives TK a gentle hug. “I love you, too, babe.”
TK smiles, then Carlos pulls him into a tighter hug, and TK sighs blissfully as he melts into a set of loving and tender arms.
