A quiet life, that is all Derek had wanted. Maybe living in the preserve just like his family before him. A nice home, in the woods with nature around him. He had thought he would have a wife, maybe a kid or two, and a stable job.
Fate seemed to have seen his idea for his future life, and thought that making sure that never happened would be a better idea.
Instead of a quiet and peaceful life, here he was holding his husband around the waist to stop him launching himself at the raccoon that had decided to build a nest in their garden. And had decided to steal the vegetables from Stiles’ well tended garden. The spark was angrily shouting at the fluffy menace that was holding the stolen loot and was scampering away towards the big oak tree that was towards the end of the garden.
“How is this my life?”
