Chapter Text
Aphmau's someone who is somehow so compassionate, but yet completely emotionally constipated.
While she was taming the horses, for her and Dante's expedition to retrieve Logan.
Since he's still in the hands of the rivaling wolf tribe village. She starts to think of the people in Phoenix drop.
Her mind wanders to a conversation her and Donna had when they were discussing the wedding.
They were talking about flower arrangements and Donna pops the question all the ladies in the village have for their beloved lord
lord.
"Aphmau, when are you going to get married? I mean, although I love Logan. Garroth and Laurance are both fine specimens of men. I see why you have a hard time choosing" She says with a wink.
Molding the sentence with an exaggerated sigh. I stare at her with confusion, Not understanding what she's trying to say.
"Do you mean asking Laurance to be my guard? Do you think Garroth might be wary? Since I have a new guard that's close to me?" I ask with a sort of understanding.
Not wanting Garroth to have any discomfort, Although she trusts Laurance with her life. Donna looks at her as if kissed Zane.
"My lord, I am going to be honest with you because I respect you, is that okay?" She asks, waiting for my approval.
I give her a prolonged nod. She glances at me, then seems to have changed her mind. Since she shook her head,
"Nevermind Aphmau. You will find out someday, I suppose it's not my place" She states with an amused laugh.
I remember being extremely confused. As the memory fades back as I tamed the horse, that could only be tamed with a lullaby. The lullaby
is a rendition of 'my little horsies'.
"Are you ready to head out?" The blue haired hunk. (As Donna would say), asked.
"Yeah I am, we can depart now." I say as I mantle my horse, while handing Dante the lead to his.
But what was Donna talking about? I don't like not knowing things.
…
..
.
As Aphmau and Dante were making the journey, they got caught off guard by some unfamiliar werewolves. With aphmau's kind heart, despite Dante's warnings.
She tried to negotiate with them. It didn't work. Like at all. They both saw a building and didn't think of the repercussions, they went to the presumed abandoned shelter as fast as they could.
Both grab a door as they reach the inside and make sure it's secure, before finding a spot to sit.
"Are you okay my lady?" He asked.
"Yes, I am. just coming down from the adrenaline rush." I say, noticing he's not faring any better than me.
"Good, I'm glad. However.." He says as if he's waiting for a response to continue.
"Yes? You can speak your mind with me, Dante." I say with adoration.
"Uh, oh yeah, I mean of course. Thank you lady Aphmau." He says embarrassed. He then continues.
"This castle.. this was absolutely not there before when me and Donna fled from the exact same direction" He states, as if there is no room for doubt.
"Maybe you missed it while you were running?" I say, making sure it's correct.
"No. I am very aware of my surroundings. Plus, something this big? I'm positive I would have remembered it. In any case, this door is solid enough to hold back the wolves." He says, which in result soothes my nerves.
"Do we want to go and search the building? It seems empty." I ask.
"Yeah, we can do that. Meet back here in about an hour my lady?" Dante asks.
Okay, I know it's just for formalities. But the whole my lady thing? I can see the appeal to the unknowing soul.
"Yes, that sounds like the right course of action." I say, knowing he was looking at me when I was thinking. He gave a confused look, then shot me a smirk.
"I'll look forward to it then." He says as he splits into the left side of the castle.
I suppose I should start my search.
…
..
.
She has found out a few things while being trapped:
•You can't put torches
•The door didn't give us the pleasure of opening.
•There are some areas that are blocked off
•There are very creepy letters talking about a son?
She thought the worst thing was the inevitability of dying due to starvation.
But that didn't compare to when she saw her new companion passed out on the floor. With a dark spirit behind her and the blue haired clutz.
She stands in the doorway. Only allowing for a split second to be stuck in place. She rushes over and kneels down, putting her hand on the small of his back.
"What do you want from us?!" She wails. Trying to get Dante up, as she sees tear marks on his face. Outlining his freckles. The spirit smirks as if a child did it.
"Now, I wonder. Since I showed your friend his deepest fears, let's try something else with you. What's your truest desires? Now don't worry. I won't give you an illusion."He says.
Then revealing under his cloak a potion. The presumed male due to the lack of estrogen in the voice. I look at him terrified as he pulls the tap off slowly. Then splashing me with it.
"Don't worry. Nothing against your mind. It just has you do your deepest desires, desires you didn't even know you had." He says as he laughs.
My eyes started to darken as I was knocked out, finding my resting place on Dante's shoulders. Struggling with the minimal energy I had left.
..
.
Why is it so loud? Why are there three voices? Is it Zoe? No, it's males. Mabey Brian, Garroth, and Gale?
I think as I slowly open my eyes, seeing my surroundings and my company.
Okay, Garroth, And Dante are the only ones I see so far, I look to my right and see Laurance slowly combing his fingers through my hair. His mind is elsewhere, too busy to even notice me looking at him.
Wow, has he always looked like this? I study him while they all try to figure out what's going on. I hear something about me but I don't even take it into consideration.
I just keep finding myself looking, the light brown haired male in front of me trapping my gaze. I notice the small things that I didn't before, The freckles that are scattered across his nose. The way his grip tightens when my name is mentioned.
Wait.
Why is my name being mentioned so much?
I snap out of my trance. Enough to see them all bickering back and forth as to why I was knocked out on the blue heads shoulder. On his shoulder?
WAIT WHAT HAPPENED?!
"Uhm, Excuse me? Maybe I can give some clarity without you all deciding for me?" I say sheepishly but also in a light hearted tone.
They all stop abruptly as they come over to check on me, after what I'm guessing is Garroth scolding Laurance and Dante after waking me up. All of them start talking to me at once
"Good morning sleeping beauty. Please tell me I don't need to remove this man's shoulder blade and that it was a misunderstanding" From Laurance, I notice my heart flares a bit at that.
I also noticed his cheeks dusted with pink as he removed his hand from my hair.
"My lord, Are you okay? Any injuries?" From Garroth.
"My lady I'm so incredibly sorry, are you hurt in any way? I'm guessing you shook up since we all saw our worst fears." Dante said.
Wait, all of us?
"I actually didn't get that. The person who presides over this caste put a potion on me that makes me act out my truest desires.
At least if my memory serves me correctly. Was the fear showing what happened to all of you?" I ask. Remembering I didn't see Dante in a positive state at all, when I found him on the floor.
All three nod in agreement as to answer my recent question.
"So what I'm hearing is, you didn't kiss blueberries over there?" Laurance asks deadpanning. Pointing to Dante without even looking at him.
Keeping his gaze focused on me. I feel the butterflies stirring up again.
"No? Why would you think that I kissed Dante?" I ask after I answered, all three blush.
"No reason.." They all reply at the same time, looking in opposite directions. It would be comical if they weren't in the situation they were right now.
"Do you feel any different? Garroth asks. Dante and Garroth find seats on the floor. Dante sitting across from me, while garroth and Laurance on either side of me. Close enough to the point where I can feel the heat radiating off of both, Laurence's I feel a tad bit more I noticed. I take notice of Dante being slightly more far away then the rest, but I brush it off.
"Not really honestly, I feel a little bit more aware of my surroundings, but that's about it." I said.
They all nod in reply, I start to notice myself getting more tired as we are talking though.
"Would it be possible for me to get a half hour's rest?" I ask mainly Dante.
He looks as if he's surprised I asked. With the silent question being 'Will we have enough time to get Logan?'
"Yes, since the door is still shut and since Laurance and Garroth found their way in. We will awaken you if we can find information" He says slightly blushing.
"Oh my Dante, you are too sweet for your own good. You should most likely get that blushing under control, or I won't be able to help myself." I say without even thinking anything of it.
But by the reactions I got I'm guessing that's out of the ordinary for me to say, the potions affecting me after all.
"My lord, Are you okay?" Garroth asks. I now notice his helm off, Showcasing his cerulean eyes and blonde hair.
Mabey I see why so many people in the village found him handsome. I remember Kiki mentioning how she found him attractive.
"Hm? I'm just fine, tired is all Garroth." I say, taking notice of how I can now see his blush when I say his name.
I look to my left to find Laurence with worry and slight amusement in his eyes.
"I think you should take a rest, Aphmau, Irene knows you need it." He says in his normal teasing, but worried tone.
"I suppose you're right." I say it easily. But before they all start to move away to let me rest, I scoot more towards Laurance, until my head reaches his shoulder.
His body that I'm leaning against is warm, I start to melt into it. I look up and see Laurance extremely flustered and mouth wide open.
Not yet noticing my gaze quite yet, as he's looking at Garroth and Dante shocked. They look back slightly amused.
Aphmau is not known for physical affection to anyone besides Levin, which is understandable. But this was out of norm for her.
She wanted to push the look she got out of him, see how many she could get out. But then again she was tired, so she reached up and kissed his cheek.
Feeling content with curling up on his lap and leaning in the crook of the brunette's neck. The last thing she remembered was feeling him heat up and shiver, whimpering out a small, "get some rest." While stuttering.
She thought it was amusing before hearing the chatter between the boys, the world fading to black.
