Mmm! This takoyaki tastes good! Don't you think so too, Tsukasa?
"Hm. It certainly is average, but it could've been better. As a star myself, I can do it ten times better!"
"Oh? Pfft~ Whatever you say! Do you know how to make it?"
"Of course! It's the basic thing ever now, come on. It's just some flour, pickle, green onions and octopus!"
"...Onions?"
"Yeah, is there a problem with that?"
...Oh no.
Tsukasa was in front of the mirror after he changed his clothes, looking at himself, spesifically his face, closely. He realized his freckles were getting more obvious on his face again as the summer came with its hot weather. He didn't really like them— he understood the hype people get on internet but it made him look like he has several acnes! At least that's what he thought. He took a deep breath and curled his eyelashes carefully, then looked at himself fully now. He wore brown jean shorts and a basic yellow t-shirt. After that, he left the house without forgetting his keys and wallet of course.
He was going to meet up with Rui at the festival. He always thought festivals were a good reputation of the country, such cultural things still continuing on. He also liked eating the sweet and cold, delicious, shaved ice too!
He insisted he should take Rui from his home and go with him together but Rui said there was no need for that and in the end they'll see eachother eventually anyways, so Tsukasa finally agreed to him.
When he came, he realized he's the first one to come. Rui isn't late actually, Tsukasa's always the type of person to come at least ten minutes earlier, because of how forgetful he was. But that doesn't matter! It certainly mean he's a punctual person after all! Now all he have to do is wait till the actual meeting up time comes and text Rui to say he's present at the meeting spot.
When Rui got close to the meeting spot they decided to meet and walk together, Tsukasa immediately recognized him from his unique hair color and... weird fashion sense! Rui loved wearing colorful things. As Rui got closer and closer, Tsukasa started to see his outfit clearly. It was a bright yellow, armless t-shirt and a short that started with orange but had a red zipper right where his knees should be, and the continuing part was bright green. What was this man thinking while wearing- no, buying this!?
Rui waved his hand and Tsukasa smiled at him like the sparkling star he is, then Rui asked him if he was late and if he made Tsukasa wait for him too much but Tsukasa immediately refused and shaked his head on both sides as he stated that he was just early. Rui just nodded and held Tsukasa's hand, started to walk with him to the summer festival that was waiting them.
"So, what do you think about my amazing outstanding look, my dear Star?"
"You look like a highlighter."
"I'm gonna take that as a compliment, hehe☆!"
"...Yeah, sure."
After a little walk, they eventually came to the place they planned to come in the beginning. Tsukasa was happy, certainly really excited for the shaved ice as he stated it. Rui giggled to himself and bought two shaved ices for both of them, walking around at the festival, admiring things.
They ate quite a lot with all the traditional food being made there with their beautiful smells that attracted a good amount of people.
All of a sudden, Rui pointed to a festival stall that smelled like fishes. He looked overjoyed and was rocking his hips back and forth like a toddler that was waiting impatiently. Tsukasa giggled to his enthusiasm and held his hand, then started walking to the stall Rui pointed at.
"You like playing goldfish catching? Honestly I had no clue!"
Rui shrugged and answered to his soon-to-be-lover friend,
"It's a traditional act after all! What is a festival without getting your hands wet and touch the living goldfishes! Trying to catch them is rather funny, fufufu~"
Tsukasa simply smiled at his indicate and nodded.
When they arrived, Rui was the first one to take a poi and a bowl and he happily tried to catch fishes with the poi. Tsukasa also took one of the pair and smiled with determination.
"Me, Tsukasa Tenma, the soaring Pegasus through the sky, the future star, the amazing future boyf— THE AMAZING ME, will catch all the fishes!"
Rui snorted and laughed at him and left a small peck on his forehand.
"Go on, my Star!"
...Tsukasa was really bad at it. It was an embarrassing amount of incompetence, honestly. Tsukasa got mad and started cussing to the goldfishes. Rui was giggling the whole time.
Tsukasa got seal from the stall and waited for the purple guy to finish his silly game.
"Here's you wafer!"
"Thank you, Tsukasa!"
Rui took the wafer and started eating it. Tsukasa glanced at him and got close to his face. Rui tilted his head to the side a little and looked at him with a confused face.
"Hm? Is there something on my face?"
"Yes, actually. It's all over your face! You're eating it like a kid!"
"Oh, is that so? Then I'm sure you don't mind cleaning it, right? Hehehe~"
"...Sure, I can."
Tsukasa wiped his face, mostly the sides of his lips, then smiled proudly.
"All clean!"
"Aww, I thought you'd at least kiss me to clean it, mumumu..."
"HU-U-UH!?"
"Just kidding! Hehehe~"
"... Whatever."
"Oh, oh, oh! Look!"
Rui run off. Uh-oh. Tsukasa is mad.
"I SWEAR I'M GONNA TIE YOU TO ME WITH A ROPE! STOP RUNNING OFF AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!"
He stomped his feet to the ground angrily for a few times then run behind Rui, catching him from his collar and scolding him. Rui is looking at Tsukasa like a pouting kitty to make him feel bad, how usual.
"How many times have I told you to not run off!? I swear... You're like a little kid! You're a pain in the ass..."
"Mumumu... Kasa-kun hates me... How sad, I am truly taken aback by your reaction... Wa-a-a-h!!"
"H-HUH?!"
Tsukasa takes a deep breath and holds Rui's hand, smiling at him after. Rui suddenly changed his pouting lips to a big grin, making Tsukasa regret his actions.
"What did you saw, anyway?"
"Takoyaki!"
"Oh, you wanted to eat? I'm sorry! Let's but it."
"My Star is spoiling me extra today, hehehe~"
"I know you forgot your wallet, silly."
"Oh-!"
Tsukasa giggled at him and took his hand, then walked to the mini-stall that was selling takoyakis. Tsukasa bought a few and they sat to a bank to relax a bit. Tsukasa gave one to Rui and took one himself, then started to eat it.
"Mmm! This takoyaki tasted good! Don't you think so, Tsukasa?"
Tsukasa thinks for a little and shrugs, then gives his answer,
"Hm. It certainly is average, but it could've been better. As a star myself, I can do it ten times better!"
Rui giggled at his remark and wanted to ask for the recipe, since he knew Tsukasa was good at cooking generally and liked to talk about recipes and giving little helpful facts.
"Oh? Pfft~ Whatever you say! Do you know how to make it?"
Tsukasa grinned and straightened his posture, then started explaining it.
"Of course! It's the basic thing ever now, come on. It's just some flour, pickle, green onions and octopus! You can also do that."
Onions? Onions? O—
"...Onions?"
"Yeah, is there a problem with that?"
...Oh no.
Rui quickly got up and ran to the trash can, spitting the takoyaki out. Tsukasa first didn't get it and thought he was an ungrateful brat, but then he suddenly remembered Rui's no-vegerable-forever diet or something like that. He felt bad for him and gave him water, making circles on his back.
"I am sorry, Kami. I completely forgot that you didn't like vegetables!"
"...It's okay. Ugh..."
"I can make some takoyakis for you at home, totally vegetable free! Do no feel bad for not being able to eat it! Your star is right here to make you feet better!"
"My Star is already making me better by his own presence, believe me."
"Wanna go to my house? As I said, I can make them for you."
"That would be awesome."
"Okay then, it's decided!"
Tsukasa grabbed Rui's hand tightly and they went to his house. They are such idiots.
