Save me

Summary:

There was nothing but darkness. Darkness and pain, but then, there came light

Notes:

Have you ever wondered what could have possibly happened after the movie ended? Well so have I so I wanted to write what could have potentially happened, but everyone's imagination is different so this is just one version of the ending I suppose

I noticed I didn't see much of Loki x Keller fanfics in this fandom so I took it upon myself to write about their interesting relationship, so shoutout to my best friend who was craving this to be a fanfic (and ofc me)
Enjoy!

Chapter Text

The ground slowly started to freeze up as December grew closer. It had been around October when they finally found Anna but unfortunately for Grace that was also the day her Husband, Keller, had gone missing. Time stood still as there was no sign of Keller. Grace had spent restless nights at the police station asking about her husband's whereabouts and if they had any new updates on him. But no luck. Grace barely slept as she worried about him day and night wondering if her dear husband was even alive.

Her kids, Ralph, more importantly, was put into a tough situation as his mom had fallen back into depression. She’d been prescribed antidepressants and loads of other medication. Ralph had to take responsibility for his younger sister. It was extremely stressful for him but he tried to stay strong. For his mom, and dad, who he hoped was still alive out there somewhere.

Of course, Franklin and Nancy checked in on the Dover family from time to time to help with Anna and buy groceries and stuff like that which Ralph was thankful for each time they stopped by to help him and his mom.

—————

Loki was back at Holly Jones’s house as he watched two forensic investigators try to find more clues in the hole that had been dug up. Loki observed them as he kept his hands in his pocket since it was chilly out.

Loki had zoned out for a bit before zoning back in as he saw one of the forensic investigators walk up to the radio and turn it off as they were about to leave for the night.

“You all done for the night?” Loki suddenly asked as he shuffled in the spot he was standing in. “Yeah, the ground’s frozen solid.” The forensic replied shortly as he prepared to pack up. “It’s gonna take weeks to excavate the entire property.” He added as he closed one of the cases.

Loki silently nodded and looked back at the hole that had been dug. “Just found some dead snakes and shit.” Loki’s gaze returned to the forensic as he continued to speak. Loki let the words settle into his thoughts as he wondered if there was nothing else they could do. “Pray for the best, prepare for the worst, yeah?” Loki said calmly as he watched them pack up. No one said anything as the forensic investigators cleaned up and prepared to leave. “Night.” Said one of the forensics as they left for the night. “Night,” Loki replied and looked back to the hole.

He exhaled slowly as they left. He was so lost. How did Keller just vanish like that? Where on earth did he go? Loki wished he could’ve done something different to prevent Keller from going missing.

Loki was about to leave when he heard a faint whistle. He stopped. It couldn’t be. He shook his head. There’s no way he could’ve heard a whistle. He was about to take a step when he heard it again. He stopped. He held his breath as he wondered if he heard it or not. Everything was still. And he heard it again for the third time, and this time he was sure it was a whistle.

He decided to follow the noise. The sound of the whistle grew louder and louder as he followed the noise until he stopped in front of a black car. The whistle noise had stopped for now. The car he stopped in front of looked old and rusty. Loki heard the whistle sound one more time and he was sure it was coming from beneath the car.

He kneeled down to the ground, took a quick look under the car, and noticed that the tire was parked on a wood that seemed to be a trap door. He quickly got back up on his feet and hurried to the door of the car. He tried opening it but it was locked. “Fuck!” He exclaimed.

He looked inside the window of the car to see if there were any car keys inside. There was none. He paced anxiously around the car wondering what to do. He then looked back to Holly’s house and wondered if the keys were inside there. He ran up to her house and opened the door, thankfully it wasn’t locked since forensics had been investigating the house for evidence.

He looked around the house for the car keys. He looked in the living room and bedroom until he hurriedly wandered into the kitchen. He scanned the room and noticed car keys on the kitchen counter. He grabbed them without a single thought and ran back out of the house.

He ran up to the car and unlocked it. He opened the door and got into the car; fumbling with the keys in his hand as he anxiously tried to insert the key into the car. It took a moment for the car to finally start as he twisted the key. He exhaled sharply as he backed the car up and off of the trap door.

Once he was done backing the car up he got out of the car, he didn’t even bother turning the car back off as he opened the car door and stepped outside. He kneeled at the trap door and lifted it off of the ground, tossing it to the side. The only thing he saw was a black hole. He had no idea how deep it was, he reached into his pocket and got out his flashlight. He turned the flashlight on as he lit it down the hole.

“Keller?” Loki called out as the light of his flashlight landed on a figure laying on the side; curled up in on himself. The figure seemed almost lifeless but there was still hope since Loki saw that the person had the red whistle in his mouth trying to gather up the strength to blow into the whistle once again to let anyone know he was down there. Loki had figured by now that this must be Keller.
