Xisuma had been told of a glitching chunk near the Perimeter. Doc had been making a new world-breaking machine to do something X didn’t bother to find out.
X had gone to fix chunks like this before, this was nothing new, but the red glow surrounding the chunk worried him. As they walked over to the chunk, it felt like he was walking through water.
Suddenly they could hear beeping. The visor on his mask was flashing red, different statistics blaring in their face. He suddenly felt like they couldn’t breathe. He pulled his helmet off his head. He might get sick from breathing this air, but it's better than suffocating.
He grabbed out his comm, but it was difficult. They tried typing in the chat that he needed help but eventually gave up and just voice-typed it.
[Xisuma] need help
[Keralis1] Where are you at X?
[Xisuma] glitched chunk
[Keralis1] Omwn :D
[DocM77] You’ll need me if its a malfunction
And so they both flew to the errored chunk. They could hear Xisuma yelling as best as he could, “Doc stay away. Errors redstone.”
And then Keralis ran. He reached X while Doc stayed behind. Keralis found Xisuma collapsed on the ground, helmet rolled across the ground. Their comm on his chest, arms to their sides.
“Oh Shashwami, why’d you take off your helmet?” Keralis asked while picking up the taller. He also bent down to pick up X’s helmet.
“Sick is better than suffocating,” X said as they exited the glitched chunk. He tried and failed to get out of Kerlais’ hold, but each time they tried, he coughed harder and Keralis' hold just got tighter.
“Let’s head back to your base, Shashwam, and get you feeling better. Doc, you might be able to help. Wanna join?” Kerlais asked, turning away to fly to Xisuma’s base.
Doc got to the base a few minutes after the two and X already looked somewhat better. It seemed he wasn’t needed. Keralis had hooked the admin to one of the air tanks that would usually be attached to his suit. Keralis was pulling the younger’s suit off (HE HAS UNDERCLOTHES ON) to replace it with the one on the armor stand next to the bed. It would probably be a few days until Xisuma would be able to admin properly again…
