Study Interrupted

Summary:

Professor Shi has asked you to fetch Eight Immortals and you decide to have fun with it.

Work Text:

“Master? Come in, I was just reading this book that I think might be of interest to you,” Eight Immortals calls out after hearing you knock on his door. He is still so lost in the throes of scholarship that he does not notice the mischievous glint in your eye when you walk towards where was seated on the ground.

You pay no mind to the rustle of paper as you knock the book from Eight Immortal’s lap to quickly replace it with yourself.

His indignant words of protest die on his lips when you drape your arms over his shoulders.

You kneel before him, chest to chest, looking down. He is forced to look up at you, a reversal of your usual views given the height he has over you, and you revel in the way it feels.

Any words of wisdom he may have, any intellectual thought at all, is robbed by the proximity. Instead, a sort of squeaky noise escapes him which makes you smile. You push it further, pressing your forehead to his.

In the clear grey hues of his eyes, you see yourself reflected. He must see himself in yours, reflecting the same amount of affection. You take a moment to enjoy the moment before giving in to the duty that brought you to his room in the first place.

His eyes widen when you kiss him lightly on the nose then pull back. You say, “Professor Shi wants to see us about tomorrow’s lesson.”

He blinks.

You laugh and get to your feet—

Only to be quickly pulled back into his lap with his arms wrapped around your middle. He buries his face into your neck and his breathe tickles.

“You cannot do that and simply leave,” he huffs.

“Ba Xian, we’ll get yelled at,” you playfully scold him.

Fingers ghost under the hem of your top. Your breath catches. You suddenly find yourself on your back with Eight Immortals towering over you with a hungry look in his eye.

“As our teacher taught us,” he says, leaning in, “patience is a virtue.” But there was no patience in his actions that followed those words.

Suffice to say, Candied Ginko was not happy when you both finally appeared before him.
