Work Text:

Minkyun laid in the bathtub, the narrow space engulfing his figure, only the cold white surface and darkness embracing him. The lights turned on.

Why is hyung here again? Do cats love bathtubs that much? Looking at Minkyun who was curled up in there, Yuto squatted beside the bathtub.

“Hyung, aren’t you coming out?”

Minkyun shook his head, smiled with a squint, he just needed to smile like this. No matter what he did, Yuto would forgive him.

“If you aren’t coming out, I’m gonna turn on the water.” It seemed like just a warning, but Yuto turned on the tap as soon as he finished his sentence. Lukewarm water fell on Minkyun’s face and he shut his eyes. He heard Yuto putting in the plug of the bathtub.

Luckily for him, it was warm water, because Yuto was always kind to him. Even if Yuto crossed the line a little, Minkyun wouldn’t mind. The water level rose and rose, Minkyun saw the water filling up to half his face, he quickly sat up. However, Yuto had other plans and pushed him back down.

“Hyung there is no need to come up, isn’t it warm here?” Yuto caressed the floating blonde strands from under the water. Minkyun’s struggle caused some water to splash onto Yuto’s clothes, but he couldn’t care less.

Minkyun reached his hand out of the water surface. The moment his fingertips touched Yuto’s pink hair, it turned into cherry blossoms in his hands. At the thrashing of Minkyun’s hands, Yuto’s hair looked like a cherry blossom tree being blown by the wind, petals gently falling onto the water surface.

“[Under the Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom],” Yuto said. “I read that book a long time ago.”

Minkyun needed to breathe. He didn’t want to hear it anymore, he wanted to go back to when the two of them were on the bed, he didn’t want to relive this ancient story again, over and over again countless times. “Let me go, Yuto, please.”

Water droplets fell from Yuto’s hair, dripped past his mouth and he smiled.

“No.”
