a broken heart can’t always be fixed

Summary:

“Mi amor,” Linda says softly, “there’s someone here to see you.” Simon slowly looks up at his mom to see Wilhelm standing there beside her.

“What…” Simon said confused. “What is he doing here?”

Work Text:

Simon’s tears stained his pillow. He couldn’t believe after everything, Wilhelm denies that it was him in the video. He gave him his everything. His love, his hugs, his kisses, his advice, and  his darkest secrets—yet he’s still feels like he’s getting thrown away.

“Mi amor,” Linda says softly, “there’s someone here to see you.” Simon slowly looks up at his mom to see Wilhelm standing there beside her.

“What…” Simon said confused. “What is he doing here?”

“I came here to talk to you, Simon.” Wilhelm answered, his voice sounding strong and cold.

“I’ll leave you guys alone.” Linda leaves and closes the door behind her. Wilhelm sits down in Simon’s gaming chair and looked at his fish. He couldn’t think of what else to say. He’s sorry? He had no choice? Don’t cry I hate seeing you cry?

“You’ve been crying,” Was all Wilhelm could say.

“Well spotted.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Are you though? You completely lied to me, Wilhelm.”

“You’re saying this like I had a choice.”  Wilhelm’s voice became louder which surprised both of them. But Simon returned the same energy back.

“Yeah, you chose to be a dumbass. You told me that you didn’t have to say anything, that you didn’t want to say anything—“

”What can’t you realize that I’ve been put in a tight spot huh? Why can’t you realize that everything is not so easy for me as the prince. I-I have to protect my family and myself.” Simon swallows hard. After everything Simon still wasn’t in the picture. Simon was basically a nobody, just some dude who fucked the prince.

Shaking his head and holding by his tears, Simon gets off his bed.

“Get out.” Simon muttered, opening his door.

“What?” Wilhelm replied confused.

“I said get out.”
