For the Love of a Daughter

Summary:

Broken promises lead to harsh words and even harsher consequences.

~

What if Octavia hadn't forgiven Stolas in S2E2?

Notes:

Hello reader! If you happen to have opened this fic of mine, I do hope that you may at least like it a little bit. I have not written a fanfiction for fun for over five years, so I may be a little rusty. I just felt a strong pull to write this fic as a canon divergence from S2E2 of Helluva Boss.

Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

“In the great expanse of the nether, there exists boundless amounts of magnificent phenomena. The great brilliance of an exploding star, the nimble dance of space dust through a nebula. But once every one thousand years, our corner of reality is treated to an incredible sight.

“From the deep Eldritch recesses of the cosmos, the tears of a forgotten Colossus begin to form. Tears made of the hopes and dreams of every living thing that never came to be, condensed and sent shooting across the night sky in a dazzling final display. What appears to mortal beings is a meteor shower, we can see for what it is: as a thought’s tears.”

“Daddy, can we go see it someday?”

“Yes, dear, I promise. When the day comes, nothing will be able to keep me from being there with you. Goodnight, my owlet.”

“Goodnight.”
