Chapter Text
I watched as the angel guarding the ball of fate took their last breath as my hands layed covered in blood. I had finally obtained one of the treasures I had been seeking for so long, this one being a small marble sized ball that could read the fate of any being.
That was the last memory I had of my old life, my demon life. After I committed the sin of killing an angel, the angels came for me in the demon world so I had to flee to the human world with the ball of fate still in my hands. But for us demons, committing such sins is normal, I've committed over a thousand sins.
I'm now undercover in the human world, I try my best to just act like a human girl, go to class, play games and gossip but like any other humans.
There's a boy in my class who'd always send confession letters to my human friends. It seemed like each week, a new girl would get a letter from him confessing his crush. He had a bright and warm aura, this laugh made everyone smile. But despite that, every girl he confessed to seemed to reject him.
Every Monday, I'd watch him slide a new letter into a girl's locker. Every Tuesday, the girls in my class would gather around a table showing their love letter from him. "He loves everyone" they said giggling.
After a while of repeatedly watching him, my heart started to beat faster when I saw him. One day, I ate lunch with him and that warm feeling seemed to grow. I began to grow curious about what his fate would be. I stared at the ball of fate hidden deep inside my pocket. I always knew using it's powers would be dangerous as telling anyone about the fate written within that marble would make the universe explode, but out of my demonic curiosity, I went and read his fate.
The image I saw was one to behold. In a few years, he'd go from always being rejected to being a famous actor with 10 girlfriends. I also saw a majestic pair of wings atop his aura. He was an angel.
But what was an angel doing on earth? And why was he being rejected? Angels are beings that attract beings with feminine energy, so girls should be begging to be his girlfriend, not the other way around. It all made sense but was so confusing at the same time, his voice sounded like a beautiful melody but it seemed like only I could hear that melody. But it made sense. Angel are such high beings compared to a demon like me while humans are in between the two. Maybe it was because I'm such a sinful being that I managed to notice such a pure being like him.
After that, when he and I hung out, I made sure to never touch him. I, as a demon am too impure to even touch an angel. I looked at this gorgeous smile from far away. Even though I wanted him so bad, I could never have him.
I'm a demon and he's an angel.
What was strange was that angels would notice the presence of a demon instantly, so why wasn't he trying to tell other angel about me. And why would he be willingly hang out with me, such a lowly being?
Even though he loved all the girls in my class and by that point everyone had received a love letter, it was never my turn. I always wondered when it would be my turn to get a letter from him, but of course, an angel could never love a demon.
I, a demon was madly in love with an angel.
One day, the angel boy explained he got accepted to an acting school and that he'll be leaving school the next day. All the girls lined up to hug him. Despite me wanting to, I didn't as demons mustn't touch angels. So he went away and we never said goodbye.
That school would be what will turn him into a famous actor with 10 girlfriends and millions of girls sliding into his dms begging to date him.
Hey angel boy, if we ever cross paths again in this mortal world, do you think we could ever be together? My demon heart yearns for your love while your angel heart is too high to even see me. I'll be even more worthless to you than a girl sliding in your dms begging to be your 11th girlfriend. You'll form a harem, but my sinful heart wants to be your only girlfriend. But it will never happen, as I am a demon and you are an angel.
