Chapter Text
Papyrus approaches you, armored in his fluffiest yellow sweater, his expression grave and intense. His arms are raised perpendicular to his body, as if he's t-posing. He remains silent, but he's brimming with nervous energy and stares at you expectantly.
"What's up?" you eventually ask. His arms begin to tremble.
"HUMAN!" he croaks, miserable. "I WANT TO HUG YOU! HOWEVER!!!..."
He pauses, looks you up and down, evaluating you, and shakes his head.
"THE SHEER MAGNITUDE OF MY AFFECTION WOULD SURELY DESTROY YOUR SQUISHY FRAME. EVEN I, MASTER OF COOL, CALM, COLLECTED RESTRAINT, CANNOT TRUST MYSELF TO HOLD BACK IN THIS STATE."
He sighs, his head drooping, the picture of defeat.
"I MUST HUMBLY REQUEST YOUR BRAVE ASSISTANCE."
"...Papyrus, would you like me to hug you instead?"
"ONLY IF YOU DARE."
What a dork.
You gently push his arms back down to his sides and wrap him in your arms, hugging tight. Papyrus beams, clearly pleased with himself, luxuriating in your warmth and attention. He smells like fabric softener.
