Chapter Text
It was a cold afternoon, the sky was covered in dark clouds, obviously it was going to rain. Izuku just wanted to get away from his school filled with hatred and distaste, when did the place he came to learn became the place he loathed so strongly.
There were two people who overshadowed him, not people… monsters, they were distasteful monsters that tormented him continuously. Both were Bakugou’s cronies that were following him down the hallways, the hallways which had been abandoned as it was an hour after school. The reason why Izuku was there was because of detention for some stupid reason which wasn’t even his fault, his homework keeps on getting burnt by Bakugou and they end up like ash or in a terrible state in which the teachers hate.
Izuku can hear the laughs of the two goonies who were just a couple of feet behind him, it wouldn’t be a wild guess that they were both joking about him. Izuku wasn’t sure if they just wanted to torment him or bring it to the more extreme.
He stopped hearing the laughs and whispers, they were either going a different way out or was about to scare Izuku.
Izuku didn’t care on either one they were going to do, he just sped up his pace.
When about to meet the exit he could feel a grip on his elbow, it was strong and felt violent.
“Hi deku!” Screamed the one gripping onto him with this passive aggressive look, not a look he was used to.
Izuku didn’t answer, he wouldn’t dare as he knew if he said anything that would just make everything worse.
“It’s rude not to answer a question, deku.” said the other one, this monster was more violent with his words. He said it with such spite that Izuku thought he had done something shitty to piss him off.
“Sorry.” Izuku said, not threatening to meet their gazes.
The more violent one smirked, then hurried his friend who was still grabbing at this elbow tightling. Now being dragged along by one of his bullies, Izuku didn’t know what to think. Was this going to be one of those times that he would actually get a beating or another one of those times when they would scare Izuku for shits and giggles.
Now being dragged across the road from the school, he could feel a sprinkle of rain come from the sky. The clouds were now dark like there was no sun, it was bound to rain heavily.
Still being dragged by the bullies, they finally stop. Izuku didn’t realise that he had zoned out. Looking around, he recognised the place as being a little hideout for when they smoked, he was shocked to see Bakugou there as well. Bakugou who he had given up calling ‘Kacchan’ a long time ago because he knew that Bakugou didn’t give two shits about him.
“What’s that loser doing here?” Bakugou shouts to one of the bullies.
“We just thought it would be fun to scare the shit out of him!” One of the goonies answered.
Izuku looks up to meet Bakugou’s gaze, rolling his eyes at the serious look Bakugou shoots back at him. To his disappointment, Bakugou noticed.
“The fuck you looking at, Deku” Bakugou spits, “Fucking bastard!”
“What did he do?” One of the cronies say, shocked.
“Do the fuck you want, beat his ass if you need.” Bakugou says, turning his back to Izuku.
“Too lazy to do it yourself” Izuku mutters under his breath, to his unfortunate luck, one of the cronies hear it and repeat it to Bakugou.
“What the fuck did you say, deku?” Bakugou says now, the obvious anger in his voice.
It was too late to go back now, “don’t act like you don’t know, that little bitch obviously told you so what’s the point of keeping it a secret” Izuku says, obviously scared but tries to hide it.
Bakugou runs up to him, exploding the wall next to Izuku, leaving a dent and a ringing in the green haired ears.
“Quirkless bastard” he says to Izuku, kicking his stomach which temporarily stops Izuku from breathing.
Grabbing Izuku’s collar, forcing him to stand on his toes and grabbing his rib, starting his quirk to flare and pop, leaving Izuku’s skin dry and burnt.
Throwing Izuku down again just to kick his stomach once again.
Izuku looks up at Bakugou, catching his breath, “How heroic.”
Bakugou gives him another kick in the stomach, this time harder and more unpleasant, having Izuku to spit out blood this time.
The blonde one then turned his back to the greenette. Not looking back once, just whispering something to one of his goonies to which the goonies then pick him up, dragging him into a nearby building and leaving him in a random closet with cleaning supplies. Giving Izuku another punch to the face, they leave him in the closet and lock the door.
Apparently one of the goonies parents had keys to the janitor's closet where they work. The place was practically deserted as it’s an art company and most people do their work at home. There was no longer a point to a cleaner as barely anybody came into the building.
Izuku was abandoned and felt horrible due to the bruise in his ribs and stomach.
—
His mum was calling the school, for whatever reason her son was not with her at home even though school had ended 3 hours ago and she didn’t know what to do. After the school told her that her son had left school 2 hours ago, she began to get even more worried.
It only took less than half an hour to get home, what was taking him so long? After she called Izuku again for the 12th time, she started to dial Mitsuki’s number, maybe Katsuki knew where he was.
Although she knows that Katsuki had gotten more distant towards Izuku, there had to be a chance that he knows where her son is.
Mitsuki answers and Inko starts telling her that Izuku was missing. To which Mitsuki calms down and says that Katsuki just got home 5 minutes ago.
“KATSUKI” Mitsuki shouts, “GET DOWN HERE!”
“What do you want, hag!” Katsuki answers.
“Your aunty Inko is on the other line and she’s curious about where Izuku has gone,” Mitsuki says.
“How should I know, he’s always getting into trouble.” Katsuki says, to which Mitsuki just gives her son the phone.
“Katsuki, do you know where Izuku is? I know that you two aren’t as close anymore but I’m worried and he’s been gone for some time now” She says quickly.
“Sorry aunty, but I don’t have a clue where he is.” Katsuki replies, good at hiding his lies.
“Oh. ok. If you do happen to hear from him, can you tell me?” Inko says hopefully. Sadly not getting confirmation as the phone was given back to Mitsuki.
“If he’s not home by tonight, we can come over tomorrow morning and conduct a search party, get the police involved?” Mitsuki says.
“Um, yeah, of course.” Inko replies, with tears in her eyes as she looks outside at the rain that’s just gotten heavier.
—
Izuku hears murmurs and people talking, he doesn’t know how long he’s been out but his blood has dried and starts to pick himself up. It hurts to breath and move but he makes the effort.
He bangs on the door, the talking has stopped.
He bangs again, this time hearing footsteps towards his direction.
“Hello” A female voice says, “Anybody there?”
“Maybe this place is haunted?” another voice says, this time a male voice.
“I’m in here!” Izuku shouted, making both the guy and girl jump.
“You can’t scare us like that, it’s not manly!” said the guy.
“Can you get me out of here?” says Izuku.
“Get out of the way!” the girl says as she rams the door. No good. The guy rams it this time and the door is still not budging.
“Get as far from the door as you can!” Said the girl.
“Ok!” Izuku said hopefully.
The door started melting as if acid was boiling through it. It took little time for the acid to leave before he could make his way through the door.
“Ouch, are you ok?” The guy said, he had black with pointy teeth.
“Yeah, thanks” Izuku said before panicking, “What time is it?”
“It’s 3 O’clock, haunted hour.” said the girl, her skin and hair was pink with black eyes and pale yellow horns, “But you shouldn’t worry about that right now, you need first aid” The girl continued.
“I have some right here!” Said the sharkboy.
“Why do you have a random first aid kit?” said the alien girl.
“It was rumoured that this place was haunted so I brought some just in case.” The boy replied.
“Sorry, but I really need to get home, my mum’s probably worried sick and I can’t risk having the police called.” Izuku said as he was making his way towards the stairs.
“You don’t expect us to leave you while you’re in that condition?” said the boy, “That’s just not manly”
“At least let us walk you home?” Said the girl, “The streets are dangerous and you could get hurt again.”
“I wouldn’t want to be a bother -” Izuku said before he was interrupted.
“No, it’s our pleasure,” the girl said. “My name is Mina Ashido, and this is Eijirou Kirishima. My quirk is acid generation.
“My quirk is hardening.” Kirishima had said as he flexed his quirk, hardening his arms and face.
Izuku didn’t see any other way out of this, if he chose to run, he wouldn’t make it far due to his injuries, they would end up following him.
He rolls his eyes and says “Izuku Midoriya, my place is just half an hour away”
As he limps down the stairs, the two people are following him, making an effort to support him from his limp to which he doesn’t allow and avoids the helping hands.
They make their way out of the entrance and the two try to make conversation with Midoriya but fail as he struggles to answer.
It’s 10 minutes through the walk and Midoriya can’t support himself any longer, the pain is too much and he is exhausted. The two dragged him to the corner of the sidewalk so he could rest his back on something.
He sees something move from the corner of his eye, a shadow or something. It was hopping from building to building, Izuku blinked and he could see the shadow coming up against them, slowly. It was too dark to make out anything yet but when getting closer, the street lights showed the scarf and yellow glasses, with long black hair.
There’s no doubt that it is Eraserhead, Mina and Kirishima are getting to their fighting stance, while Erasure puts his arms up to show that he is no threat.
“That's Eraserhead, an underground hero.” says Izuku, and they both lay back, getting in their normal stances.
“Are you ok?” Erasurehead says towards Izuku, “I need to treat those bruises” Erasure says, getting closer.
“I’m ok, I don’t need any treatment.” Izuku replies.
“I don’t have a choice but to treat them, it’s a part of the job.” Erasure says, now getting closer while taking out a thick bandage out of one of his pockets and a cotton ball out of the other.
On his belt he grabs a small flask and puts it on the cotton ball.
“This is going to sting a bit.” Erasure says, then putting the cotton ball on the victim's face, where his dirty cut is. After dabbing it a few times, getting some grub off of the cut, he then puts a thick bandage on Izuku’s cheek.
“Change it again tomorrow afternoon to make sure that it’s not infected.” Erasure advises him.
“Now for the questions.” Erasure turns to Mina and Kirishima, “why are you three up this late and why is he” Erasure points to Izuku, “injured?”
“Well, me and Kirishima were just going to check out this haunted building at 3 am because we wanted to get scared, and then we heard some knocking from one of the doors and we thought it was a ghost.” She stops for Erasure to process. “And then he kept knocking so we asked ‘who’s there’ and it turns out that it was just him locked in the janitor's closet. He was in that current state when we found him.”
Erasure looks at Izuku, waiting for confirmation, in which it comes in a nod.
Mina continued, “so, me and Kirishima just offer to take him home so he doesn’t face any danger. And then we took a little break and now we’re here.”
Erasure looks at the boy and girl, “I need names, and then you three are coming to the police department with me.”
“I am Mina Ashido,” Mina says.
I’m Ejirou Kirishima,” He says.
They look to where Izuku was but he’s not there anymore. Erasure was in shock, how could someone disappear like that and sneak away from him? Did he have a teleportation quirk? Erasure should have been more cautious.
Ashido and Kirishima are in shock, “He said that his name was Midoriya.” Kirishima says.
“Yes, Izuku Midoriya, I'm pretty sure.” Ashido agrees.
