“Oh hey!” He says to himself, knowing that everyone else is, y’know, busy getting their orders at the coffeeshop while he was looking at the merchandise. “That's what I’ve got!” The tattoo that apparently his soulmate also had on their body somewhere was an ouroboros, he remembered it as the name– a snake eating its tail. For him, it was on his leg, instead of being flat printed on there it was as if there was a snake physically curling around his leg eating its tail.
But this little painted wood block was flat, and in the middle there was a galaxy, and he was honestly considering picking it up. So he sat down-- it was like 60 bucks, he actually needed to think before spending that much on a painting. Where would he put it, first of all? He had a couple shelves open, but this thing needed to be hung, and he was ultimately too busy thinking about how he would even hang this on a wall hat he really couldn't do much do (landlords be damned) that he didn't notice someone else also sit down on the benches that surrounded the walls. He looked up and finally saw someone else staring up at the paintings.
"They're cool, right?" he said. "Was thinking of buying one, but I have absolutely no idea where to hang it." The other person laughs.
"I mean, I've had my eye on a couple of them," he says to him. "The bee one's are pretty cool, but I just noticed that they put up an ouroboros one, so I might be getting that." And he laughed.
"No way," he said. “That's the one I wanted! You can have it though if you actually have a place for it. It just matched my tattoo man, I don't need it." he watched as the other person reached out to shake his hand, and he saw a VERY FAMILIAR snake curling around their right arm. "Wait a second," he said. "Dude! What's your name, we have to be friends now, mine's Tommy."
"Tubbo, I can't believe any of this," he says. "But are they actually matching? Please don't tell me yours is on like your ribs, if It is I'll just take your word for it." he laughs again, pulls his leg up onto the bench and pulls the cuff of his pants leg up, and Tubbo moves his arm at the same orientation. "Oh wow," he said. "They are actually the same. Hello, soulmate. We still need to decide: Who gets the ouroboros?"
"You can have it," he said. “As I said, it would probably be on a shelf, and I think that would be awful to do? I think I'll get one of the bird coasters, those seem cool. Whad'ya get from the actual food? I just got a bagel."
"A chocolate chip cookie and some chips,'' Tubbo said. "But if you're sure. I would've said 'hey, do you want to get lunch after this?’ but we have, basically. You wanna chat in the seating part of this? So fucking fun that we met."
"Sure!" he says, and he helps Tubbo get the painting off of the wall before buying a cardinal coaster for himself.
