Baby, I'm All In

Summary:

When Jazz moved to Gotham for college she wasn't expecting much, she definitely wasn't expecting two vigilantes as her roommates.

And she really wasn't expecting to fall in love with them.

Work Text:

Jazz took a deep breath and gave her brother a small smile as he grinned at her, giving her a double thumbs up in support. She steeled her shoulders and stepped through the portal and into what was going to be her home for the next year. She had been desperate to break away from her parent’s giant, looming shadow in Amity Park and had decided to move to Gotham City for college. It was probably the scariest thing she had ever done but at the same time, so utterly exhilarating!  She had been nervous at first, leaving Danny in Amity alone with their parents. It was his junior year and their parents were negligent if she was going to be honest. But, he had been her biggest supporter and swore that he’d survive the next two years without her at his side.

He had even gone as far as opening a portal for her to get to Gotham! And now she was here, a freshman at Gotham University studying English! She had been bouncing between what she wanted to go to school for since middle school, it had always been college professor, brain surgeon, or lawyer. But after helping Danny fight to get the anti-ecto acts overturned, she had settled with going to school for law. After extensive research, she learned that people with English degrees had the tendency to do the best on the LSAT so it had been solidified.

Mr. Lancer had been more than overjoyed to write her a recommendation letter for Gotham U’s English program, practically crying as he wrote it.

“You gonna move out of the way so I can get your bags?” Danny asked from behind her. Jazz slowly moved out of his way as she took in the dorm room that she would be calling hers for the next year and smiled. She had gotten a rather good scholarship but it hadn’t covered room and board so she had settled for the three-people dorms as they were cheaper and wouldn’t put as big of a dent in her pocket.

“Which bed?” Danny asked with a grunt as he carried Jazz’s box of books through, four bags of luggage floated behind him as he walked through.

“I think I want to have the one by the door, that way if anything happens I can hear it,” she said softly, looking at the three beds. There was one by the door, another on the opposite side of the room right beside a window, and a third that sat in between them. On the opposite side of the room sat three different closets and in between each bed was a small bookshelf and a desk. The room was surprisingly much bigger than she expected.

“You have liminal powers, you’ll be able to hear just fine regardless of where you sleep. Just remember,” Danny said, setting the luggage on the floor in front of the bed. “While liminal and ghosts are under the meta protection acts, this is still Gotham and the bat isn’t a fan of metas in his city.”

Jazz smiled and ruffled her little brother’s hair. “Don’t worry baby brother, I’ll be okay! And if I need anything, you’re literally a portal away,” she said and gave him a tight hug. “I’m going to be okay.”

“I know, I just worry about you,” he said and squeezed her waist tight. “Don’t forget to eat, I know how you get when it’s exam time but you have to eat, you won’t have as much ectoplasm here so you’re going to burn through your energy really fast. Not only that–”

“Danny I know,” Jazz interrupted with a laugh. “I’ll be okay, I promise. Now, go! You have patrols.”

Danny nodded, a frown still on his face. “Don’t fall for the first guy with a leather jacket and motorcycle,” he said and hugged her one last time before he stepped through the portal and it closed after him. Jazz let out a soft sigh and sat on her bed, wincing at how springy and hard it was.

She looked around the room once more before smoothing her hair back into a ponytail and got to work unpacking. First, she made her bed, smiling at her familiar bedding, bringing her a sense of home with her even here all the way in Gotham. She sat Bearbert in the corner beside her blanket and kissed her fingertips before pressing them to the top of his head. She then started unpacking her clothes and hanging them up one at a time, pairing each outfit together so that she wouldn’t have to stress too much about what to wear each day.

As she started putting her textbooks on her little bookshelf the doors swung open and two girls stepped through and stopped short when they saw her.

“Oh! I didn’t realize we got a three-person dorm!” The first girl said and Jazz took a moment to take in both of them. The first was taller, almost as tall as Jazz surprisingly, with long blond hair and freckles that smattered across her face. A purple hoodie covered her top half with leggings covering the other half. Beside her stood a shorter girl of Asian descent. She was dressed in all black with her hair hanging loose down to her chin. They were both devastatingly gorgeous and Jazz was screwed.  “I’m Stephenie Brown! It looks like you’ll be rooming with me and my friend Cass Wayne here!”

Jazz gave them both a polite smile. “It’s nice to meet both of you,” she said before a group of men came waltzing in carrying countless boxes with them, and suddenly Jazz wished she had accepted Danny’s offer of helping her unpack just so she’d feel a little less like an outsider.

“Oh! You didn’t tell us you had a third roommate!” The eldest of the group said, giving Jazz a wide smile before he set down his box and held out a hand. “My name’s Dick, Dick Grayson.”

Jazz winced. “That’s unfortunate,” she said before shaking his hand. “I’m Jazz, it’s nice to meet you.” Damn it, Danny was rubbing off on her way too much.

“We keep telling him his nickname is stupid but he’s too stupid to listen to us,” another man said and Jazz couldn’t help but crinkle her nose as he stepped forward and shook her hand. Definitely liminal, this entire family seemed to be liminal which was suspicious but this one kinda stank like contaminated ectoplasm. Which, Jazz had only really seen in her parent’s lab so she wasn’t sure how this man had been exposed to it like he had. “I’m Jason. And those three are Tim, Duke, and Damian,” he said, pointing to the other three guys setting down boxes and luggage.

“We’re Cass’s brothers and Steph’s henchmen,” Tim said with a huff.

Stephenie let out a laugh. “It’s the biggest perk about being best friends with Cass, I get to use her brothers as my lackeys,” she said as she fell onto a bed. “I don’t have any of my own so I get to have them instead.”

Jazz smiled. “Brothers are pretty useful, you just barely missed mine, he was here like an hour ago helping me bring everything in,” she said.

“You don’t sound like you’re from Gotham,” Stephenie said, giving Jazz a curious look. “Did you willingly choose to go to school here?”

Jazz shrugged. “I liked the vibes when I came to tour the school,” she lied, it wasn’t at all that the city had just enough ambient ectoplasm in the air for her liminal ass to survive.

“Midwestern,” Cass said, looking her up and down.

The redhead nodded her head once. “Yeah, Illinois to be exact,” she said with a laugh. She couldn’t help but look Cass over once more in curiosity. She seemed to be a woman of little words yet her face was definitely expressive as she reacted to everything everyone around her said. She also kept moving her hands like she wanted to use them to talk, either as someone who just talks with her hands or someone who signed more than spoke.

She mentally shook herself, no she wasn’t going to sit here and analyze her roommates. That made people uncomfortable at times and she wasn’t going to bring that bad habit with her to college. Instead, she just tried her best to continue talking to her without making it seem stilted or strange. It seemed that she and Cass were already best friends so maybe one of them would explain eventually. Until then she’d just go with it.

Soon Cass’ brother’s left them to their own devices and the girls all quickly started unpacking their things, making small talk and getting to know one another as they did.

It was nice.

Jazz had never really been good at making friends in high school. She had been known as the brainiac know-it-all that annoyed most people. And if that didn’t scare them away, then her parents did which was probably just as bad if she was going to be honest with herself. She knew she hadn’t been alone in that aspect. Danny had been in the same boat and had gotten lucky to have Tucker and Sam there for him once he hit middle school.

She had always been a bit envious about it too, not that she would ever say it out loud. Sure her brother dealt with bullies but he at least was still able to make friends. Jazz somehow always put her foot in her mouth at the worst times possible and ruined it for herself any time she tried.

The next two weeks went by smoothly, each of the girls delving into their classes with fervor. Steph was getting her nursing degree, Cass was majoring in dance and Jazz was in English. The three seemed to all have crazy schedules but Jazz had noticed something interesting about the both of them.

Both of them were liminal, Cass more than Steph but they had both been exposed to ectoplasm in some way and it was taking everything in Jazz’s being to not ask them both about it. They both walked like ninjas! That was the only way she could even explain it! Jazz had enhanced hearing for shit’s sake and there were still times when they both managed to take her by surprise by just how quiet their steps were.

The biggest thing, though, was that both Cass and Steph were one hundred percent, without a doubt vigilantes.

Jazz wasn’t just crazy about this either! The suspicions arose on the first night at the dorms and from there she had been putting the pieces together faster and faster.

After dealing with a vigilante brother, she was quicker to put the pieces together now. And she had undeniable evidence that they were!

The first was that they would sneak out at the exact same time each night. It was like as soon as they thought Jazz was asleep they’d slip out the window. Jazz would hear it every single night.

The second piece of evidence was when they would return! They both would smell of sweat and gunpowder and leather.

The third was that they both managed to have only afternoon classes and would sleep rather late in the day. And what she remembered was Danny’s own hectic vigilante schedule, which meant that they were up all night fighting crime and then trying to catch up on sleep. The poor kid had been so late to school all the time because of it. And Steph and Cass? They had the same poor habits.

The fourth piece of evidence was the way they behaved. They both looked at the exits of every room they were in, they both walked in complete silence and they both stayed tense and ready for a fight at all times.

Jazz had seen Danny fight ghosts for three years now, she knew all the signs of a vigilante, she was an expert at this point if you’d say and she could tell that these two were up to something.

Which was why tonight, she was going to call them both out for it.  She couldn’t keep this to herself, she had to let them know what she knew! Her suspicions were that Cass was obviously Orphan and Steph was one hundred percent Spoiler, it just all made way too much sense.

So here she was, sitting cross-legged in bed at three in the morning working on a paper for her Critical Approaches to Literature class instead of sleeping like a normal person would. Thankfully her liminality made her need less sleep than the average person so she’d at least not die of exhaustion when her eight am American History class came around.

She looked up from her laptop just as the window pushed open and first came Steph and then Cass. Jazz gave the two a small smile as they both immediately laid eyes on her and froze.

“We were just uh-” Steph trailed off and Jazz just shrugged.

“Don’t worry, I won’t spoil the fun,” she said with a wink and looked back at her computer screen.

“You know?” Cass asked, sitting on her bed across from Jazz. The English major laughed and closed her laptop.

“I had you both figured out the first night we were here. You can’t get anything past me,” she said with a small smile.

“Your eyes,” Cass said and Steph let out a squeal.

“You’re a meta aren’t you?” She accused, stepping closer to Jazz. “Why else would your eyes be glowing!?” She looked over at Cass and scowled. “You knew, didn’t you?”

Cass simply grinned and nodded her head once. They had shared with Jazz just a week before that Cass was a selective mute who before getting adopted by Bruce Wayne had never really learned how to speak. Jazz had been trying to figure out how to suggest that she could help her out with learning the English language. She was an English major. Sure she was only in the degree program because it was a good stepping stone to law school but she was contemplating an ESL minor to go with it and teaching Cass could be good practice.

But now she wondered just how much validity she could put into that story or if it had something to do with the rumors of Orphan’s tragic backstory.

“I can’t believe I didn’t notice,” Steph whined, throwing her head back in dismay. “How did I miss it?”

“You’ve never once seen me awake at night and that’s usually when my eyes are most noticeable,” Jazz said with a small smile before she pushed her hair back to reveal her ears and the subtle points to them. She also gave them a wide grin, showing her little fangs.

“Ghost,” Cass said with a grin, pointing at Jazz.

Steph looked between the two girls before she leveled her gaze at Jazz. “What? Ghost?” She demanded and Jazz just let out a soft laugh.

“Almost, I’m liminal, I’ve just been around the dead a lot and it’s rubbed off on me. You’ve probably heard of my parents, the Drs. Fenton, renowned ecto scientists?”

“That’s how I know you! I knew your last name seemed familiar!” Steph exclaimed, racking her fingers through her hair as she let out a groan. “It was right there in front of me!”

“Look, I just thought it was fair that I share my secrets with you since I had figured yours out. All I ask is that you don’t let Batman know I’m here. I know liminals go under the meta protection acts now and I don’t want him to be mad about a meta in his city.”

“He just says that–”

“I don’t care,” Jazz said, cutting off Steph. “I don’t want to have to worry about it either way. So just don’t let him know and we’ll be good to go. Got it?”

The two nodded in acceptance, Cass giving her a double thumbs up as she did.

Steph held a punching bag in place as Cass went to town hitting and kicking it with the utmost fervor. “I just think she’s really pretty,” she said with a grunt as Cass punched the bag, hard. “And she’s a genius!”

“She’s helping me,” Cass said before kicking the bag, knocking Steph back a step. “Very helpful.”

“I didn’t know that, what’s she helping you with?” Steph asked, fixing her stance behind the punching bag.

“Talking, English, sign language,” Cass said before she stopped attacking the bag and smiled at Steph. “I like her.”

Steph grinned and nodded her head. “I do too.”

Cass leaned against the punching bag and smiled up at Steph. “Like her like her?” She asked and the blond blushed but nodded her head.

“Yeah but I think for someone who figured out our secrets so fast she might be a little dense,” she said with a laugh. “I think she thinks we’re best friends.”

“We are,” Cass purred before she moved to stand on her tiptoes and give the blond a quick kiss. “And more.”

“Of course and more,” Steph said with a laugh before she pushed the punching bag out of the way to wrap her arms around her girlfriend and gave her a hungry kiss. “Should we put feelers out and see if she’s interested in us?” She asked once they pulled away from the kiss and pushed a stray hair out of Cass’ face.

Cass draped her arms over Steph’s shoulders and tilted her head to the side in curiosity. “How?”

“Well, if she’s helping you with English maybe you can flirt a little during your lessons,” Steph said. “A couple of soft touches here and there, bat your pretty little eyes at her, a few cute smiles. That’s how you pulled me in.”

The shorter girl laughed and shook her head. “And you?”

Steph hummed as she screwed her nose up in thought. “I dunno. But I’ll figure it out.”

Her girlfriend gave her a wide smile as she pulled away. “Invite her to dinner,” she said as she went to grab her bottle of water. “Just you.”

“Are you sure? I don’t want you to feel left out,” Steph said with a frown and Cass shook her head.

“Won’t,” she said with a shrug. Steph nodded and followed over to grab a bottle of water for herself. “I think it’s cute.”

“I know we’ve talked about being poly before but this is the first time we’ve actually talked about doing it. Are you going to feel comfortable adding another person to our relationship?” Steph asked as the two started out of the gym and towards their dorm building.

“I’m okay,” Cass confirmed, nodding her head. “Open communicate will be important,” she signed after tucking the water bottle under her armpit.

“I think so too,” Steph said. “If Jazz is interested, we can set up boundaries and talk about what we want and don’t want in the relationship. But first, we have to see if she’s even interested in us like that.”

Cass nodded once more. Steph just grinned mischievously. This was going to be perfect! She had been lusting over Jazz for the entire semester and now they were gonna do it! They were going to try to get Jazz to join their relationship.

“Alright, read this sentence out loud,” Jazz said, pointing to a line in the book. Cass scrunched her nose as she looked down at the book and back at Jazz. The redhead just gave her a shit-eating grin as she leaned back in her bed, resting against her pillows. Cass stared back at the book and let out a huff.

“Bella, where the hell have you been Loca?” Cass read off and looked back at Jazz. “Twilight? Really?”

Jazz just let out a mock offended scoff, pressing a hand over her chest as she looked at Cass, humor dancing in her eyes. “Twilight is a work of art, don’t act like it isn’t.”

“Never read it,” she responded, looking back down at the scene and crinkling her nose. Bella was even more awkward than she was and that was saying something!

“We have to change this!” Jazz exclaimed before climbing off of her bed to look at the books on her shelf and grabbing the first one in the series. Cass watched as the redhead bent over to grab a book and blushed and looked away from her, reminding herself that it was rude to ogle at the girl, no matter how beautiful she was.

Jazz skipped back over to the bed and showed the two copies of the first book. “I have two of each! We should read them together and you can tell me your thoughts on them!”

Cass smiled, the corners of her eyes wrinkling as she did. “We can do that,” she said before she took a book from the girl, her fingers just lightly brushing along the inside of Jazz’s wrist as she did. The English major shivered at the touch and smiled at her.

“You have a beautiful smile,” Cass told her softly. Red flooded Jazz’s face and she looked down at her lap as she mumbled out a thanks. Cass leaned forward and cupped the woman’s face in her hands and tilted it up to look at her. “I mean it. Beautiful.”

“Cass,” Jazz whined, although not pulling away from Cass’ hold on her. Instead, it seemed like she was leaning into the touch ever so slightly. “You’re too sweet. Maybe using romance books in our lessons is not the best idea.”

Cass just shook her head in amusement and dropped her hand, noticing the soft whine that escaped Jazz. It seemed the little bookwork was touch starved. Cass could work with this, she was dating Steph for Christ's sake, her girlfriend was the cuddliest person ever, and she was a master at cuddling others now.

And with that, she moved around until she was sitting shoulder to shoulder with the redhead and took the Twilight book in her hands, and looked it over curiously. “Let’s read!” She said, setting her hand on Jazz’s knee. The other immediately stared down at the hand, her cheeks still a cute rosey red that almost matched her hair with how red they were.

“Cass has a late dance practice tonight,” Steph said as she walked into the dorm where Jazz was staring down at her textbook furiously highlighting. “Also you need a break from studying, I swear that’s all you do.”

“Midterms are next week!” Jazz said, letting out a whine as Steph took her textbook from her.

“And you’re more than prepared for them. Let’s go get dinner, and have some fun together, you know?” She said, leaning against the corner of Jazz’s desk and followed Cass’s tips and brushed some hair out of Jazz’s face. She wasn’t wearing her usual headband, meaning her hair was all over the place and draped on her shoulders. The more comfortable with Cass and Steph Jazz got the more she seemed to let her hair down around them. She had finally gotten comfortable enough to wear her sweats and baggy t-shirts when she was just lounging around the dorm rather than wearing her nice pre-picked-out outfits. Jazz was absolutely gorgeous.

“You don’t know that,” Jazz said as Steph cupped her face for a moment and ran a thumb along her cheek.

“Yes I do, you’re like the smartest person I know. Now come on, I was thinking we could go off-campus for dinner. My treat,” she said. Jazz sighed and closed her eyes for a moment, pressing her face against Steph’s hand for a moment before she pulled away and looked down at her clothes.

“I need to change first, I look like a slob like this,” she said, tugging at her baggy NASA t-shirt that she had apparently stolen from her brother before she moved to Gotham. He had called her probably the first week of school and Steph and Cass both got to listen as the kid whined about his sister stealing his favorite t-shirt.

“I don’t think so,” Steph said, looking the woman up and down. “You look stunning like always.”

Jazz just blushed and walked over to her closet to grab a clean outfit. Steph let out a whistle as she watched Jazz tug off her t-shirt. The redhead glanced over at her and narrowed her eyes, a dark blush on her cheeks as she did.

“I never noticed you had a six-pack,” Steph said, smiling at her. Jazz just blushed and pulled a dress over her head before she slipped off her pants and put on a pair of ballet flats.

“Does this look okay?” Jazz asked, looking down at the purple dress that seemed to accentuate her body perfectly. Steph just grinned and nodded once.

“Beautiful, like always,” she confirmed before she took Jazz’s hand in hers, grabbed her keys and wallet, and dragged Jazz out of the dorm room.

“So where are we going?” Jazz asked as the two started walking down the sidewalk, hands still intertwined between them.

“I was thinking we could go to this little Italian restaurant down the street! I’ve been craving spaghetti and not that shit in the school caf,” Steph said, crinkling her nose in disgust.

Jazz laughed and squeezed her hand lightly. “Yeah, the food there isn’t great but I’ll be honest it’s more edible than the stuff I grew up on.  My parents did a lot of experiments with ectoplasm, including putting it in the fridge where it got in our food. Thus the reason I’m so liminal,” she said with a chuckle.

Steph gave her a horrified look. “I’m so concerned about your childhood,” she said bluntly. “And that’s coming from someone with a rogue for a father.”

“They’re mostly better now,” Jazz admitted. “Danny told me yesterday during our weekly call that they’re taking him on vacation without any kind of experiments or ghosts being involved. So it’s progress,” she said with a laugh.

“If you say so,” Steph said before regretfully letting go of Jazz’s hand and opening the door for the restaurant for her.

Jazz flashed her a small, thankful smile before she stepped through and Steph followed her in. The two sat across from one another with a candle between and Jazz looked around curiously. “This feels oddly romantic,” she said with a nervous laugh. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you’re taking me on a date."

“If you want it to be, it can be a date,” Steph said softly, taking in the way the candle illuminated Jazz’s eyes, showing the flecks of ectoplasm in her irises.

“What?” She asked, looking startled.

“I mean it, Jazz,” Steph said, feeling a blush of her own coming up. “I like you, a lot.”

The redhead frowned. “Don’t play with my feelings like that, Steph. I know you like Cass, I see the way you look at each other,” she said softly. “And I know it’s not my place but she looks at you the same way. You like each other, I’m not going to get in the middle of that.”

Steph let out a soft laugh and shook her head. “Jazz, for someone so smart you’re so dense,” she murmured and reached over and took Jazz’s hand in hers and squeezed it tight. “We’ve been dating for two years now. We talked about it and we both like you, like romantically,” she said with a blush.

Jazz pulled her hand back and stared at her in surprise. “You both like me?” She asked, her voice laced with suspicion. “Why?”

“What’s not to like?” Steph told her and rested her chin on her hand. “You’re smart, you’re caring, you’re funny as hell–although I don’t think you’re actually trying to be most of the time. And you care about both of us so much,” she said. “You’re an amazing person, Jazz and we would love it if you’d think about being in a relationship with us.”

“Can I think about it?” Jazz asked, looking up at Steph. “I’ve never been in a real relationship before, and not only that but I’ve never even thought about being polyamorous. I know that I like both of you but I need to think about it.”

“Take all the time you need,” Steph said, feeling hopeful. It wasn’t a yes but it was close enough to give her some hope. Maybe she’d decide that being in a relationship with the two of them would be a good idea. Steph had to stay hopeful, she was going to refuse to even think about Jazz turning them down, she was already worried that Jazz would turn them down, that they had come on too strong and too fast and she didn’t want that.

She and Cass both liked Jazz, so very much and they both knew that having her in their relationship would be the perfect addition. She was just so wonderful and such a breath of fresh air in their lives. The way she would fuss over them whenever they came back from patrols even slightly injured. How she’d make them coffee or hot tea each morning for them to drink when they woke up. She remembered the small things and would do what she could to take care of the two disasters, and in return, they would do the same for her!

They would force her out of the dorm when she got too hyperfocused on studying, would make sure to give her food, and do hydration checks if they thought she hadn’t been drinking enough water.

They were all just perfect ofr each other and Steph had never wanted something so badly the way she wanted to be in a relationship with Jazz. So she had to hold out hope, had to just patiently wait for Jazz to decide if they would be good together or not.

It was two weeks later when Jazz was finally ready to give the girls an answer. She had thought it out as much as possible, taking in every single angle of the proposal. Had agonized over it each day, made pros and cons, talked it out with Danny and then her mom who had told her that apparently she had been in a polycule before she had met Jack, and wasn’t that a little mind-blowing to learn?

She sat up in her bed, working tirelessly on her final paper as she tried to keep herself distracted until the vigilantes got back from their patrols. It was almost reminiscent of the night she had told them that she knew their secrets.

The window cracked open and Jazz gave them a big smile as they climbed through one by one.

“Yes,” she told them, looking at each girl, checking them over for any obvious signs of energy. “I’m all in if you’ll have me.”

Cass ripped off her mask and grinned at Jazz. “Really?”

Beside her Steph let out a squeal as Jazz nodded, setting her laptop to the side just as both vigilantes pounced and hugged her tight, letting out a laugh as they tackled her onto the bed.

“I’m so excited!” Steph exclaimed, wrapping her arms around Jazz’s middle as Cass wrapped her arms around both women and hugged tight. “Do you know how long we’ve been crushing on you?”

“No?” Jazz asked with a nervous laugh.

“Since we met you,” Cass said quietly, her face buried in Jazz’s shoulder. Jazz just laughed and hugged her girlfriends tight, feeling happier than she had ever been in her life.

Somehow moving to Gotham didn’t just give her a chance to break away and be her own person. She had also managed to find herself not one, but two girlfriends who cared about her just as much as she cared about them.

One year later.

Jazz smiled as she finished making the large king-sized bed, pushing her hair out of her face as she looked over her new bedroom, pride clenching at her heart. The last year had been a whirlwind for her and her girlfriends but it had been absolutely perfect, every single second of it had been amazing and she loved them more and more each day.

She jumped as arms circled around her waist and a face pressed into her back right between her shoulder blades. “I swear, I’ve never met someone as quiet as you,” she said, pressing her hands over the interlocked hands on her stomach.

“Years of training,” Cass whispered, nuzzling Jazz’s back softly with her nose. Another arm slung around her shoulders and Jazz gave Steph a small smile.

“Can’t believe we actually did it,” the blond said, staring at the bed, a small smile on her face.

“I mean we were already living together, and sleeping together,” Jazz said, tilting her head to the side. “Now instead of pushing three beds together to fit all of us, we just have one giant bed. Makes more sense for cuddling you know?”

Steph leaned over and kissed Jazz’s cheek. “We need to test it out, make sure it’s comfortable enough. You know, for science?”

Jazz gave her a serious look and nodded, “You’re right, it’s for science,” she said before she quickly turned around and threw Cass over her shoulder before she dragged Steph and threw the giggling women onto the bed and jumped in between them and let out a sigh.

“It’s comfy,” Cass said, carding her fingers through Jazz’s hair softly as the woman rested her head on the smaller vigilante’s chest. Steph let out a happy sigh as Cass rested her head on her arm and the three cuddled closely to one another.

“It really is,” she said, slipping a leg between Jazz’s. The three jumped as the bedroom door slammed over and Danny gave the three a look of annoyance.

“Are you just going to stop helping?” He demanded, crossing his arms over his chest.

“You’ve got it!” Jazz exclaimed. “All of Cass’s brothers are here, they can help get everything moved.”

“They’re too scared of the portals,” he said with a sigh before he grumbled to himself and stomped out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him. Jazz snickered and lifted her head up to look down at her girlfriends.

“Sucks for them, I guess,” she murmured before pressing a soft kiss to Cass’s lips and then moving to softly kiss Steph. “I love you guys.”

“We love you too,” the vigilantes said, holding their girlfriend tight between them. They all jumped though as a high-pitched scream came from the other room.

Steph let out a sigh. “That was Dick,” she said as Cass nodded in agreement.

“We should probably actually go out there and help them before they end up destroying our stuff,” Jazz said with a roll of her eyes, wincing slightly at a loud crash that sounded on the opposite side of the door. “I can imagine Danny is being a little overdramatic about your brothers not helping him move things through the portal.”

“Brothers are the worst,” Steph said with a sniff as she sat up and brushed her hair out of her face. “Glad I’m an only child.”

Jazz shook her head and kissed Cass once more before she got off of the vigilante and climbed off of the bed.

“You say that but you also use all of our brothers as henchmen whenever you need,” Jazz teased, poking her girlfriend in the ribs.

Cass just chuckled and climbed out of bed before taking both of her girlfriend’s hands and dragging them out of the room, ready to embark on their next adventure together.
