Old Wound

Summary:

Dealing with old wounds isn't easy, no matter the situation. Even when it hurts those we love the most.

Work Text:

“What happened?” Bruce asked as Pepper rushed to tell him everything. His eyes flicked up to his girlfriend standing in her library, putting away the book she had pulled earlier. “Soon as I tell her we are on our way.”

Bruce hung up the phone quietly, walking into the room as his witch turned around, giving him a soft smile before it faded, noticing the look on his face. “Bruce, what is it?”

“Hermione, somethings happen to Tony. We need to go to the compound now.”

“What happened?” She managed to get out.

“Mission went wrong. Tony’s alive, but it’s critical,” Bruce answered. “Pepper has the London jet gearing up and waiting on s to take off. I know it hard to go back with everything that happens, but-”

“I don’t give a damn. I need to go to my brother,” Hermione replied; she waved her wand walking through the flat as everything was put in its place and packing a bag for the both of them at the same point.  The pair was at the airport taking off, dead set on New York.

“You okay?”

“I will be when I see Tony,” Hermione replied, wringing her hands together until Bruce put his hands on her stopping her movements. He gripped her hand, kissing her hand. “What would I do without you?”

Hermione let go of his hand, leaning over into his chest as his arm went around her holding her tightly. “If someone had told me Tony and I would have become this close after first meeting him, I would have laughed.”

“What happened?”

“God, he was such aragonite when I first met him.” Hermione chuckled.

“Did he stop?”

Hermione laughed, “No, just after he had been taken hostage, he changed. It changed our relationship. We grew closer, my parents died, and Tony told me to move in with him. Which is what caused the break up with Ron and me.”

“That’s before I met you all,” Bruce replied, running his finger through her hair. “How did you find out Tony was your brother? As shocking as that was.”

Stark Industries found I was the daughter of Howard Stark and Peggy Carter. Jarvis had gotten the information and found I was the daughter of Howard Stark and Peggy Carter. I never wanted to find out who I came from.

“Yeah, why dont you get some sleep and before you say you can't, just try.”

She agreed by turning deeper into his embrace and taking an unrestful nap until Bruce gently shook her to wake her up. “Hey, we’re five minutes from the compound.”

“Okay,” She replied groggily. Sitting up, she stretched, letting out a yawn. “Bruce?”

Bruce turned his eyes to hers.

“Thank you.”

“Nothing to thank me for.” He looked out the window seeing the compound. “We’re here.”

Seeing the compound brought back many memories of good times and bad, but what worried her now was what condition she was about to see Tony in. The jet swung around, going to land outside; as the hatch opened, Hermione looked down and saw her sister-in-law waiting for her.

“Pepper, how is he?” Hermione questioned, not able to help the shaking in her voice.

“He’s here- and um, he’s stable, but we dont know yet.” Pepper got out, fighting the urge to cry.

“Can go to him?” she asked as her voice cracked.

“Of course, but Hermione, you need to know the team is here-” Pepper paused before continuing. “The whole team.”

“I dont care he’s here. I need to see Tony.” Hermione assured her, but she felt Bruce’s hand come down on the small of her back for comfort.

“Of course, come with me.”

Hermione felt numb and ignored the looks of surprise and the whispers are Bruce Banner with her? She had one goal...Tony. The door swung open to the medical wing, and she saw Tony lying in bed, hooked up to ventilation, Ivs, and tubes coming from. A sob tore in her throat as Bruce pulled her into his arms, holding her until the shock of seeing him calm.

Hermione turned, wiping her face; she looked back at Pepper, “What else are they saying?”

“There's a twenty percent chance of Tony waking up.”

Hermione grimanced, “Can I just sit with him?”

If you need us, ask Friday, and she notify one of us. I’ll leave you alone. I'm sure you remember where your rooms are. I’ve had your bags moved.

“Yeah, Tony moved my rooms closer to the one he had here. I remember where.”

Pepper nodded, leaving the room.

“Do you want some time alone with him?” Bruce asked.

“I do thank you,” she replied, kissing his cheek and taking a seat beside Tony as Bruce left the room. She gently grasped his hand; she trembled, crying when he didn't grasp it back. “Tony, Please wake up. Please.”

_____________

Bruce walked through the compound, seeing barely anything had changed, but so much had changed for himself. After leaving, he had gone to England, not looking for Hermione, but somehow he had managed to run into her six months after she had left the compound. When he found her, somehow, they had always managed to end up with each other, watching movies, eating dinner, and just doing nothing. It was the first time he had been calm; even the Hulk was calm with the witch. Tony had been the only one who knew where Bruce had gone and with whom he was. He just didn’t know how far their relationship had gone. Then again, Tony wasn’t stupid, nor was Pepper. One of them would have put it together.

“Banner?”

Bruce snapped out of his thoughts, turning to see Steve Rogers walking toward him, but he also noted Natasha and Bucky Barnes with him. While he was happy to see Steve and Natasha, Bucky Barnes stirred the dormant beast.

“Hey,”

“You come here for Tony?” Steve sighed, looking up to the medical wing above them.

“Yeah, Pepper called me and when we- I,” He corrected, but he saw Natasha didn’t miss his slip. “There’s a twenty percent chance of Tony waking up.”

“It’s gone down now,” Natasha sighed. “Has Hermione made it yet?”

“She’s in there with him now,” Bruce answered, noticing Bucky’s head snapped up at the mention she was upstairs.

“Where have you been?” Natasha asked with a slight smirk.

Bruce shrugged as he spoke, “England. Scotland.”

“Well, it's good to have you back here- just not for this.” Steve gave a sigh patting Bruce on the shoulder. “I am gonna go up and see her.”

Bruce noted Bucky walking with Steve, “Steve, she’s still really upset.” He said pointedly.

“I know.” Steve nodded, catching what Bruce wasn’t saying.

“So, what's happening with you and Stark’s sister?” Natasha smirked. “I noticed how you just watched Barnes like you wanted to keep him anywhere but near her, not including you arrived with her.”

Bruce shook his head, “Never could hide anything from you, could I?”

“It’s called I pay attention, unlike those other two.”

“I don't want Barnes upsetting her more than she already is. You know how close she is with Tony.”

“I know seeing him probably hit her hard.”

“Yeah, it did.”

Steve stopped from the door of Tonys's room, “I think it would be best if you didn’t go in there.”

“Steve-”

“Seriously, Bucky,” He spoking, cutting Bucky off. “This is not the time to try and talk to her. You are my best friend, but you cheated on her, and that's on you. Especially because it was the stupidest reason i have ever heard.”

Steve said nothing else, turning away and entering the room with the witch. It had been a while since Bucky had heard her voice but hearing how broken it sounded right now cut through him.

_____________

“Steve.”

“Hey, I wanted to come and check on you and Tony, of course,” Steve said as the door slid behind him.

“I would be better if he was awake.”

“I know.”

“Steve, what happened out there? Tony wasn’t even fighting anymore.” Hermione asked.

Sitting on the other side of Tony’s bed, he sighed, “This mission started getting bigger and bigger, and Tony volunteered to come out.”

Hermione said, “He promised me after Thanos that he finished.”

“It was supposed to be simple.”

“Nothing is ever simple when it comes to this world.” Hermione spat.

“I know. I know.” Steve agreed to hold his hands up. “I’m sorry, Hermione.”

“No, Don’t be, please.” She wiped her face looking over to Steve. “I would rather be anywhere else than here right now.”

They both understood that they weren’t speaking about just Tony at that moment.

“He’s in the hall, isn’t he?” She whispered, glancing at the door.

“Yeah, I told him not to come in here.”

“Thank you for that.” She shrugged in relief. “I can’t deal with anything else right now, especially not him.”

“I know. How long do you think you’ll be here?”

“Till Tony wakes up, maybe a little after that. I just need to know he’s okay.”

“If you need anything from me. Don't hesitate to ask. I am here for you and Pepper.”

“Of course, thank you, Steve.” Hermione met his gaze. She knew there were moments he looked at her and would see her mother. Hermione looked at Tony again as she noticed something familiar on his wrist. She frowned, taking his hand in her; looking closer, she saw it almost looked like he had been hit with a curse. “Steve.”

“Yeah.”

“When you were fighting, did you see when Tony went down?”

“No.”

“Friday.”

“Yes, ma'am, I need any footage you have of Tony and anyone fighting Tony when he was hurt. I need everything by the time i get to the main compound computer.”

“Right away.”

“Hermione!” Steve called as Hermione stormed from the room right passed Bucky. She knew someone from her world was at that fight and saw Tony as an opportunity to get back at her.

“Keep up, Steve.” Hermione tossed over her shoulder and moved quickly down the hall.

“What do you know?” Steve asked, hot at her heels, Bucky right beside him.

“If i am right, and i know i am. Someone from my world went after Tony because he’s my brother. If you want to hurt me, just go after those i love.”

“So what are you saying?” Buckys asked.

“Someone cursed Tony,” Hermione said; going down the stairs, they turned, going straight to the computer. “Friday, so me what you have.”

The massive screen pulled up hundreds of clips from the fight; Hermione sighed in frustration, rubbing her face. “Friday, narrow all clips to anything resembling magic and remove anyone using weapons.”

“Split anything remaining onto two screens, and Hermione and I will start looking,” Steve said, grabbing a chair next two her.

“Can I do anything to help?” Bucky asked.

“Yeah,” Hermione spun around in her chair, looking up at him, “Get out and let me figure out what’s trying to kill Tony.”

“Go, Buck,” Steve said, not turning around because he didn't want to deal with a fight between the two.

Hermione swung back around, seeing the files ready to be watched.

“Okay, Friday, let's start looking through these.”

The hours they were ticking by as they realised that there was quite a bit of footage. Hermione stretched, rubbing her eyes and looking back up at the screen; her eyes burned.

“Go get some sleep and come back in a little bit to keep looking. We still have hours of work here.”

“Okay, I am going to shower, check on Tony again, and then sleep for a couple of hours. I am no help if I can't see straight.” Hermione slides back from the desk. “Thank you, Steve.”

“You’re welcome; go get some rest.”

Hermione stopped by Tony’s room, looking over his machines and seeing how he was doing before she left the room, knowing he was still holding steady. Hermione was relieved she had returned to her room and managed not to run into Bucky. She found Bruce asleep in the bed; she smiled softly at the man. He hadn’t slept much before they left England and still managed to bring her here.

Grabbing her clothes quietly, letting the man sleep, she slipped into the shower letting the hot water pour over her body. She sighed, feeling the tension loosen from the heat. In no time, Hermione finished her shower and crawled into the bed with Bruce curling up at his side. He surprisingly didn't wake, just wrapped his arms around her as she drifted off to sleep.

_____________________________________________

Hermione woke a few hours later feeling like she had been hit by a bus. She rolled over, seeing the clock said six-thirty in the morning. Sitting up, she saw Bruce sitting at the table with her cup of coffee.

“Morning.” She said, catching his attention.

“Hey, I got you some breakfast, and Natasha is down with Steve looking over the remaining footage.”

Getting out of bed, she kissed him before changing her clothing. When they finished, they exited the room and met the others downstairs.

“Hey, Sorry, i didn't mean to sleep this long,” Hermione said, coming in and drinking her coffee.

“No, It’s fine. I stopped for a little while and came back about 20 minutes ago.” Steve said. “Natasha took over for a little while as well.”

“Hey, this looks odd, Hermione,” Natasha spoke up, moving one clip to the main screen and playing it in slow motion. Hermione moved closer to the screen as she caught the flash of a spell and a figure quickly apparating away.

“Nat, focus on this spot and replay it,” Hermione said as her eyes didn’t move from the screen. The image repeated on the screen as a wizard's familiar dark brown hair and wild eyes were on the screen. “That’s not possible.”

“What?” Steve asked. “Do you know who he is?”

“A dead man,” Hermione replied. “He is supposed to be dead. His name is Antonin Dolohov, and this is personal.”

“What do you mean he is supposed to be dead?” She turned back, looking at Natasha but saw Bucky standing in the room.

“He’s the one who almost killed you.” bucky stated as he knew the story, as Hermione had never been on to speak about the things that happened during the war.

Hermione nodded, “Yeah, I was in a duel with him and fighting with a professor at my side. He had taken a particularly twisted interest in me-” She paused momentarily before speaking again. “That's not important, though; my professor killed him. I saw the body, so i dont know how he is alive or knows about Tony. It’s not like i went home broadcasting I had a brother. I have too many enemies.”

“He’s been following you then, watching and waiting.” Natasha pointed out.

“Patiently,” Steve added.

“Meaning,” She said, walking to the large windows over the complex. “He isn't far now. Why chase the mouse when you can make it come right to you? Friday, search the grounds for signatures that are like mine.”

“There are two signatures of magic nature within the grounds.”

The blinding flash shined from the tree line before blasting through the windows, slamming the ground back as glass shattered over them all. Hermione felt the cuts open across her skin. She glanced around, seeing the others moving and was surprised Bruce hadn’t turned into the Hulk from the hit.

“Come on out, sweet mudblood.” Dolohov called in a singsong voice.

Hermione shoved herself to her feet, walking over to the hole that had been blown into the building.

“Dont go out there,” Bucky called as he was the first one to get up off the floor.

“Too late,” she replied, turning on the spot, apperating to the grounds below before Antonin, who looked ragged in his appearance.

“Long time, sweetheart.”

“How the bleeding hell are you alive?” Hermione questioned as the wand slid down into her hand.

“Flitwick was close to close; I was unconscious when they buried me, dug my way back out. I-” His words were cut off as Hermione hit him directly in the chest with a blasting spell knocking him off his feet.

“Did you think we were going to have a conversation?” Hermione yelled, firing another spell at him. He appereated off to her side, unleashing a fury of spells; the flashing of brightly coloured spells lit up the sky as she blocked and dodged the spells. She watched every movement the wizard made, anticipating his moves and spells. She had noticed he had a pattern that she didn't believe he was aware of, but he was volatile and still unpredictable. Another spell she cast connected with his shoulder, and when she saw a familiar rage in his eyes, he released a dark curse of fire around them, encircling them. She heard the family curse that manipulated fire as she saw a firefiend rise up out of the fire.

“Kill her,” Dolohov yelled, flicking his wand as the serpent of fire turned, locking its sight onto the witch. She heard her name being yelled as the serpent charged towards her, turning into a wall of flames as it engulfed her, and Dolohov's laughter could be heard throw the night. His laughter lowered as he spotted the flickering blue light within the fire; the fiend’s light began dying as he saw the witch within her shield. “That's not possible.”

“Bombarda.” She yelled as the spell knocked him down. Hard. “Oh yes, it is.”

She said, walking over and kicking his wand out of his hand before placing her boot down his neck. I’ve almost died by that spell more than once; very few people have that shield i created.” She said, putting pressure on his throat. “Now, you’ll tell me how to remove the curse from my brother.”

Dolohov let out a laugh between ragged breaths. She removed her boot, letting it connect with the side of his face before putting her foot back in place. She watched the blood trickle out from where she had kicked him.

“Hermione,” Bruce called as they got out to her.

She said nothing as he entirely focused was the wizard under her boot.

“I won't tell you anything.” Dolohov ground out.

Her face darkened as she glanced at his wand. “Hand me that.” Bruce picked it up, handing it over to her; without a second thought, she snapped the wand in half and tossed it to the side.

“You fucking bitch. I'll kill you, you filthy mudblood whore.” Dolohov screamed, at the snapping of his wand, beginning to fight to get up until Steve’s boot came down on his chest, holding him in place.

“Start talking Dolohov.” Hermione spoke. “I won’t ask you again.”

Steve put pressure on the wizard's chest, making breathing harder.

“Dolohov, Im not the same naive child you almost killed. I have been trained by the best, and one of those is Sirius Black.” She smirked as she watched the flicker in his eyes. “Last chance, tell me.”

She took his silence as his answer.

“Move, Steve.” She said as a black binding shot out of her wand and around Dolohov’s neck, pulling him to his feet before throwing him across the smouldering grass. “If you don't talk, i am going to make you.”

“Hermione, this is going too far,” Steve called as he watched her stalking the man like prey.

“Until i have what i want, it's not far enough.”

Hermione cast the cruciatus curse watching the man wraith in pain from the spell and only letting up for a moment to repeat her question to Dolohov again. Until the man finally said stop, she walked over, standing over the wizard. “Talk now.”

“It’s a dream curse. It slowly kills the person, the happier they are out of reality, but that's the problem. Can’t tell where the dream ends and reality starts.”

“All he has to do is wake up?” she questioned, digging her wand into his throat.

“Yes.” He hissed.

Hermione let him hit the ground, binding him and gagging him. She said, turning and returning to Tony, who had been on the other side of the building avoiding the blast.

She climbed the stairs as fast as she could; getting to Tony, she lowered the bed to where Tony was lying flat and sat down behind his head.

“Hermione, that was really-”

“Steve, if you say the words “too far” i might hit you,” Hermione replied. “Now, please shut up and let me concentrate. She placed her hands on each side of his head, casting the Legilimens spell as her mind slowly slipped into Tony’s.

________________________________

Hermione opened her eyes, confused by what she saw in Tony’s mind. She was expecting chaos, but she was sitting in front of the Beach house. The children ran past her, but their faces were blurred. They blend in with the scene adding to the illusion.

“Hey, Princess, come on over and join us for lunch. That goes for you, too, champ.”

Hermione turned, seeing the familiar face of Howard Stark waving her over. Not entirely sure what to do, she simply yelled back. “In a moment.”

“Don’t take too long, darling.”

Her jaw dropped seeing Peggy Carter, her mother sitting plates out around the table. She even saw Maria Stark standing there giving her a warm smile, which made her frown because she knew the love child of Maria’s husband and another woman wouldn’t have gone over as well outside of Tony’s mind.

“Mum, come play with me.” Hermione frowned, turning to see a child waving her over where Pepper and Bruce were playing with a little girl that looked just like her but had the same dark brown hair Bruce had.

“Kind of Perfect, isn’t it.”

Her head snapped to the side, finding Tony sitting on a swing swaying back and forth, watching everything before him.

“Tony!” She exclaimed.

“Hermione.” He smiled playfully. “You’re late.”

“What do i look like, the white rabbit?”

“No, you look like my sister.”

She kneels in front of him, looking up at him. “Tony, you were cursed in a fight by someone from my world. You have to want to wake up. I need you to wake up.”

“I am awake.” Tony looked at her like she was insane. “We are on the beach about to have lunch.”

“No, we are not. You're in a coma; wake up.”

“Everything is fine.”

“No, it's not. I am in your mind. You were hurt and cursed during a fight; I am trying to get you to wake up.”

“Why would I want to wake up.”

Hermione glanced around, seeing their family before them; she couldn’t lie to herself. It was perfect here, but they couldn’t stay locked in here.

“Tony, I love you, but our dad is calling you champ in your dream, and me, his princess, and both of our mothers are here. Something is very wrong with this picture. Please tell me you see what I do.”

“I don't like my dad- our dad,” He corrected, jerking up from the swing and looking around. He met Hermione’s eyes. “This isn’t real.”

“Yes! Tony, wake up!” Hermione yelled as she was thrown violently out of Tony’s mind causing her to fall backwards.

She could hear Tony coughing and moving atop the bed; she scrambled off the floor to the side of the bed and saw Tony's eyes open.

“Tony.” whispered.

“What the hell happen?” Tony groaned, grabbing his chest.

“You got hit hard,” Steve said, going over and helping Hermione off the floor as he had been closer to the witch.

“I feel that.”

“You were also cursed,” Hermione added, getting on her feet before sitting on his bedside. “I’ll explain everything later.” She said, her voice broke slightly.

“Thank you,” Tony said. “Thank you for coming.”

“You’re welcome.” she smiled before hugging him tightly, which he returned.

‘Holy shit Stark.” Natasha said, coming into the room, seeing him awake, with Bucky behind her. “You’re awake.”

“Yeah.” He said, glancing around the room before laying back on the bed.

Hermione turned, looking at Natasha and Bucky. “Where is he?”

“Down in the cells.” bucky answered. “He isn't going anywhere.”

Hermione nodded, not saying anything else to him but turning her attention back to her brother. Hermione set the head of Tony’s bed up as she told him everything that had happened. She watched Tony turn his gaze to Banner, who stood quietly on the other side of the room.

“Banner, so glad you could come back with my sister.” Tony stared at him knowingly. Bruce’s eyes widened slightly as Hermione smacked Tony telling him to hush. “Is this how to treat Bruce at home.”

“She abuses you, not me.” Bruce chuckled, but he didn't miss the look on Barne’s face as the soldier put together he was now with the witch. He watches the man slip out of the room.

“I am texting Pepper to tell her to come here.” Hermione smiled, glancing back down at her phone as Pepper responded, telling her she would be there in ten minutes.”

Once Pepper arrived, the room cleared out, letting Tony see his wife, and Hermione and Bruce left Natasha and Steve in the hallway. She could hear the conversation between the two, already knowing she and Bruce were the topic of discussion. She didn't care as Bruce led her back to their room. Hermione sent a patronus to Sirius, alerting him to the wizard who was supposed to be dead, which was now being held within the Avengers compound. Sirius replied, telling her he would b there as soon as he could, but it might be morning before he and the Aurors could arrive, as he was contained with no wand. Hermione agreed, knowing Dolohov wasn't going anywhere.

_____________________________________________________

The following morning, Hermione woke to find Bruce was already out of bed as she got dressed, pulling on another Avengers shirt and a pair of jeans, going straight to where Tony was meant to be. She was surprised when she entered the room, finding Tony not lying in the bed he was meant to be in. She shook her head, walking down to the labs knowing where Bruce was, Tony would be as well. She made her way to the labs walking over the bridge that had a view down into the lab, seeing both Bruce and Tony working there.

“What do you think you're doing?” She asked, entering the lab.

“Who?” they said simultaneously.

She frowned, looking at the pair, “The one in a hospital bed yesterday.”

“Ah, me the”, Tony said, sarcastically raising his hand. “I felt good today; I couldn't just lay there.”

“So you come to sit in the lab instead?” She laughed, coming to sit beside him; she placed he hand on his. “I’m glad you’re okay.”

Something flickered in the man's eyes, looking at her as he tightened his grip on her hand. “Thanks to you. Also watched the footage of you wrecking the guy.”

“No one goes after my family.”

Tony smiled, squeezing her hand momentarily before letting go and returning to his work.

“Dont overdo it,” Hermione said as she got up; she placed a kiss on bruces cheek before leaving the lab. She walked down the hall to the exit on the side of the building seeing the side still damaged. “Reparo.”

The glass around her and within the building began shifting back into place and within a moment it was like the building had never been damaged. She waved her wand, correcting anything else out of place.

“Still amazes me.”

“I’ve been doing it since childhood, and it still amazes me.” She turned around, seeing Bucky standing there watching her. “Bucky, I dont want to talk.”

“Please.”

“No, I’m not talking to you about any of it.” She repeated, being surprisingly calm. “I begged you repeatedly while we were together to talk to me. Let me be there to help you because I love you. Even going as far as telling you if you need me to give you space, i would do that too. I just wanted to help you.”

Bucky ran his hand over his face, “I know, and i shouldn’t have done what i did.”

“You cheated on me.” She clarified.

“And I shouldn't have. I shouldn't have done that to push you away.”

Hermione scoffed at his words, “Because somehow talking to me was so difficult, but burying your problems between some blonde's legs was easier.” She shook her head, walking away from him and returning to the compound. Neither realising the security cameras were now trained on the pair talking.

Bucky came through the door after her, “Can you stand there and tell me you dont care for me at all any more.”

“Fine, you're right,” She turned on him, losing her patience. “I do still care for you, bucky. I probably always will, and it does nothing but hurt me. Looking at you right now makes me sick because all i see when I look at you is not the man I cared about but the man who cheated on me and broke me; I was already broken enough.”

The hurt flashed across his face at her words and he noted that Steve and Natasha were in the room with Tony and Bruce coming down the stairs.

“And he’s somehow better?”

“Yes, he is,” Hermione yelled at him. “Don’t you dare stand here and judge my relationship with Bruce? Who has done nothing but love me and care for me. I love him. That’s the end of the story Bucky. I came here for my brother, and that's it. I will not have this conversation with you again.”

Hermione moved away from him, walking up the stairs past Bruce and Tony when Bucky called done the last time for her. She stopped turning back to say something, but Bruce’s words stopped her.

“She’s told you she’s done,” Bruce spoke, stepping down a few stairs and closing the path up the stairs. “Respect what she said, or I'll help you respect it.”

Usually, Bruce could be an easy person to read, but at this moment, he was eerily calm speaking to the soldier. Bucky went to take a step, not letting his gaze break from Bruce’s, but paused, noticing the scientist's eyes.

“Go ahead, piss me off.”

“Buck, walk away,” Steve said, knowing it was a limited time if Bucky did now walk away.

The soldier paused, casting a look up to the witch. “I’m sorry.” Bucky turned, walking away from the group as Steve followed his friend.

Hermione moved down closer to Bruce, “I’m sorry. I just went outside-” She paused when he let out a long deep breath turning to look back at her.

“You dont have to apologise to me for anything. I wasn’t stupid enough to believe that conversation would happen, but i wasn't going to let him keep pushing you.”

She said nothing but kissing him and wrapping her arms around his neck, “I love you.”

Bruce smiled softly, “I love you too.”

Tony cleared his throat, looking at the pair. “Excuse me, but anyone want to explain this to me.”

Hermione laughed, nodding at his words, “We will over dinner.”

“Go because you are coming to stay at the lakehouse you bother.” Tony smiled, glancing at Bruce. “Welcome to the Family.”
