Time After Time

Summary:

A what-if scenario of what could have happened after Ava entered the portal...

Notes:

This is my first Warrior Nun fanfic. Also my first multi-chapter fanfic. I'm just playing with their characters a bit. I'm not a native English speaker. This is not betaed. Please be kind. I hope you like it.

Chapter 1: What Dreams May Come..

Chapter Text

The smell of pancakes tickles Ava’s nose as she sleeps.
She hears the sound of the door opening and closing. Someone sits on her side of the bed and gently wakes her up.

“Mmmmm, Bea, just a few more minutes.”

“I made us breakfast, Darling. You should get up. The pancakes will go cold.”

Bea kisses Ava’s lips as Ava smiles into the kiss.

“You know, aside from those pancakes, I love waking up to your kisses, Bea.”

“I know, Darling. But we really should prepare now or we'll be late.”

---------------------

Ava and Bea are beaming as they cut the ribbon to their newly opened bar in the Alps, The Lemon Drop.

“Hey, Bea! Let me help you with those crates. Wouldn’t want you to hurt yourself before tonight,” Ava said with a suggestive wink.

“This is the last crate, Ava. Don’t worry too much about me, darling.”

“But you know, I’ll always worry about you, Bea.”

“I know, Darling. I know..”

------------------------

The water is clear and blue. It is perfect! They’re alone at the Blue Grotto.

“Hey, Bea! Come on in! The water’s great!“

“I can’t believe it! I’m actually swimming at the Blue Grotto!”

“Yes, Darling. This has always been your dream, hasn’t it?“

“Bea? I never told you about what I talked about with JC. How did you…”

“Ayeeeee. I’ll get you for that, Bea!” Ava gets distracted, because Bea grabs her butt underwater. “

--------------------------

Beatrice is hiking in the Alps. She has been traveling to different places hoping to rediscover herself as she waits. She is exhausted after hiking for a few days non-stop. She decides to pitch her tent to rest up. Her eyes droop as she drifts off to sleep.

“Beatrice. Beatrice.”

Beatrice is in a huge, dark, and empty church.

“Shannon? Is that you? But you’re dead?!”

“Beatrice, the Warrior Nun is in danger. You have to save her. Save her. “

“But how, Shannon? She’s on the other side?”

“Find Lilith.”

Beatrice opens her eyes, her heart racing. She’s back in her tent. What could that dream mean? she thinks to herself.

She packs her belongings and takes the long hike back down the mountain. She reaches the town and takes the train back to the Cat’s Cradle.
