Chapter Text

9PM-San

His arm was thrust into the air, he was the victor and his opponent lay on the ground passed out while his team pushed through the cage door. The crowd was going wild around him and he had a wicked smirk on his face at both the adrenaline and the fact that there were some who bet against swearing like sailors at their lost money.

This was the night of his life and he had just won big money.

His opponent was alive, in fact he was being thrown onto a stretcher and was being taken out of the caged ring. After the medical team was cleared, the winning team rushed into the ring to congratulate their victor.

“Choi San as victor.” His friend smiled wide, clapping him on the back and he winced in pain. There was going to be a forming bruise there from the fight, there were barely any rules to their version of cage fighting.

9PM-Wooyoung & Ryujin

“Daddy, we have to take my project to school in the morning.” The little girl, Ryujin, spole threw a yawn as her father placed the covers over her and leaned down to press a tender kiss to her forehead.

“I know, baby girl.” Wooyoung told his daughter as he stood from her bed. “I’ll put it in the car tonight so it’ll be ready to go. Are you going to need help bringing it into your classroom?”

She looked away with a shy nod. “Yes, it’s too heavy to carry with one hand.”

Wooyoung’s eyes shot down to his daughter’s casted hand, they had gotten back from the hospital all too late for a broken arm. They had been there for hours and it rushed them in their evening routine. “Leave it up to my kid to pull a me and break her damn arm jumping off a swing.”

Ryujin looked back toward her father, a sheepish grin on her face. “Sorry.”

“Go to bed, kid.” He shook his head.

“Night night, Daddy.” She smiled at him. “I love you.”

“Love you, too, baby girl.” He was walking toward the door, stopping just in the threshold with his hand resting on the knob of the door. “Sweet dreams.” And then he was closing her door with a soft click and walking down the hall with a heavy sigh.

He had gotten a call nearly an hour before he got off and before Ryujin’s school let out, she had broken her arm and he had to rush to the school. His boss wasn’t thrilled at his needing to leave and fired him on the spot, and didn't care that Wooyoung promised to make up the time. Needless to say after dealing with that fiasco Wooyoung had arrived forty five minutes later than he wanted and then rushed Ryujin to the hospital where they waited for three hours just to get seen and another two for a cast to be put on.

9:30PM-San

“Yo, Choi.” His long term friend called out to him as he pushed the folded mats against the wall. “Let’s go get drinks now that you and this shit hole is cleaned up.”

“This shit hole is our gym, you moron.” San shook his head with a smirk. “But yeah, you buying, Mingi?”

“Why not?” The other man laughed, slinging an arm around his buddy. “So, you comin’ or what?”

“Yeah,” San pushed at the other. “Fuck off and let me get my shit.”

9:30PM-Wooyoung

Wooyoung sat sipping at a whiskey, phone pressed to his ear as he talked with his baby mama and best friend, Mina. “Babe, I just don’t know what to do. I’m not blaming our daughter in the slightest, in fact I’m pissed off with that dick of a boss I had that he even fired me for tending to her. I’m just not sure what to do job wise now, that was the only place that worked with my crazy hours.”

“Yuri and I could always take her for the week while you job hunt.” Mina offered. “I mean I know it’s your week with her but if you need help, that’s the least we could do. Yure also just got a good job, I’m sure if we look at our finances we can shell out some money to keep you floating until you find something stable.”

Wooyoung sighed heavily. “I love you, babe, but I would rather not rely on you and your girlfriend to help me out. It’s just weird.”

Mina snorted over the phone. “No, what’s weird is the fact that Ryujin’s parents turned gay and lesbian after she was born.”

He couldn’t help but laugh with that. “You’ve gotta point, but I was gay before she was born, I just didn’t want my family looking down on me so I found a girl willing to fuck me.”

There was a gagging sound over the phone and then Julia was laughing. “It was three times too many.” Then the conversation went back to the real problem at hand. “Back to the more serious note, we really will help you out where it’s needed, alright?”

“Thank you,” He sighed for what felt like the hundredth time. “I think I’ll be okay with keeping Ryujin for the week. I’ll just go job hunting while she’s at school, I’ll let you know what I need help wise when I figure this all out.”

“Promise?”

“Yeah,”

“Good,” Mina smiled. “Now go put our daughter’s project in the car before you drink too much and don’t get drunk. I don’t want you driving our kid to school hungover.”

“Not that dumb, babe.”

“You got me pregnant because you forgot a condom each time we had sex, you wanna repeat the comment of not being dumb?” She laughed. “Anyway, go to bed and get some rest. Destress your body and take it one step at a time in the morning, yeah?”

“Yeah, thanks babe.” He took another sip of his whiskey before staring up at the ceiling. “Love ya.

“Love you too, hon.”

10PM-San

San groaned as he shot daggers at Mingi, the man was supposed to be paying for drinks except San was using all his earnings in tonight's fight as their drink money. He stood after his fifth drink before stumbling over to the bar and closing out their tabs, if Mingi wanted more to drink then he was gonna have to shell out his damn money.

Stepping outside was a needed evil. He took a moment to sober up what little he could before hailing a cab and having his ass dropped off at home. He should have thought about picking up a quick fuck, but he didn’t feel like having to deal with them in the morning. They always forgot to leave in the mornings to come. Maybe that’s why he chose to go home alone but then again maybe it was because someone had caught his eye a few weeks ago at the gym.
