Work Text:
It started when Twila and Calvin sat down and had a long talk about a certain boy they’d both had their eyes on. Neither one of them wanted to break up, for their love was still very strong, so Twila offered an alternative solution.
“How about a poly relationship?” she had inputted.
“I’m not sure, I don’t want to lose you,” was Calvin’s concern.
“You won’t,” Twila smiled, “plus this is something I’ve always thought about.”
The next day, they approached Damian and popped the question. To their surprise, he agreed, and the three were happily together.
Then Twila met Margot — and Damian met Canon and Corey at one of their games. The three became six and soon the six became twelve. As more people filtered in, the more concerns were raised.
“Is this all a good idea?” Calvin asked.
“It doesn’t hurt to try,” Twila shrugged.
The twelve became twenty-four, twenty-four became thirty-two, and thirty-two became forty-two.
“This should be good,” Twila assured Calvin.
“Only way to find out is to go through,” Calvin said.
“Maybe we should close the relationship off here?” Damian added.
“Yeah, probably a good idea.”
