There was a beautiful sunny day. Looked like Pepa was having no troubles. Julieta woke up gently. Yawned a little bit and prepared herself to the long day which waits her. She took her clothes and quickly dressed up.
She was 4 months pregnant. But she was already tired and she also wasn't that young like she was in her other pregnancies. So, the family were trying their best to help their Julieta. But you know her, she didn't let them help. But they were still doing lil things for her.
Agustín was so excited because he always had so much love to give their daughters. He was hoping for girl but Julieta was wanting a baby boy. Actually he wasn't mind. He just wanted a whole healthy little baby.
Julieta made a messy bun and started walking alone to the kitchen. She met her sobrina Dolores on the stairs.
-Honey, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with your mamá? ,she said softly with a nervous smile.
-My mom told me to check on you. And she's right. Tia, what's wrong?
Julieta was not ready for this and was puzzled a bit.
-Dolores, what do you mean by that?
-Tia, you have 3 heartbeats if I'm not hearing wrong... ,Dolores said while whispering.
What, How come? But that means she was having twins. Moreover Dolores just checked her like every week. How she couldn't hear the other baby's heartbeats?
-Dear, you know you listened my and your moms tummy almost every week. How you couldn't hear the others beats?
-Actually I was hearing. But I just didn't want to say it before I was completely sure. ,she was so uncomfortable and just ran down the stairs after the conversation.
Julieta tried to stay calm. She went down into the kitchen. She saw Agustín was trying to make a breakfast for them. Julieta giggled a bit when he turned back while flours and eggs were on his whole body.
-Amor, what are you trying to do, setting on fire my kitchen? ,they laugh together after that.
-Hey, as you see I'm trying to prepare breakfast for us. And you and Pepa are eating for two. You know, it's hard to make that much omelette!
-I guess I'm eating for three..
-What?
-We're having twins.
-This is so awesome, ay dios mío! But wait.. Dolores never said that to us.
-While I'm coming here she came and told me that she heard two heartbeats from the beginning. She hadn't want to tell us before she was sure of it.
During the talk, the rest of the family was in the kitchen because they were worried about it. Well, it was not that wisely leave Agustín alone in there.
-Congratulations.
-Thanks mamá. ,they hugged each other.
-Hey, without me? ,Pepa asked with fake anger and sadness.
-Come here idiot. ,after Julieta said this Pepa just punched her weakly.
-So are we going to celebrate our new sibling? ,Luisa asked with her all purity.
-If you want to we can. Just a little celebración. And leave the cooking to us, right Bruno? ,Félix answered with joy.
-Yeah.. sure, don't worry Juli. We can handle, this for real.
-If Gus didn't burn my kitchen ,even if you die, you two could never!
Everybody burst into laughter. But Dolores and Isabela was not that happy. Agustín noticed this and slowly came closer to his daughter and sobrina.
-Why you upset? What's wrong mi vida?
-I don't want to have more siblings. Three is too many!
-Isa is right. I'll have a sibling but I'm not sure I want that many cousins.
-Dolores, why are you saying like this? Please apologize to your tio.
-Calm down Pepa. They're just kids. It's not easy for them to get used to the new things.
Pepa stepped back and didn't talk so much. Her feelings were already so sensitive during nowadays and nobody wanted to trigger her. Sometimes she just starts randomly raining and thundering and stops like it never happened.
-Alright girls I think you would like your siblings and cousins, okay? Don't judge them early.
-Alright papi./-Okay Tio.
-Isa look at your sis. She is so excited for the new babies.
-Yeah I see.
And Luisa was really excited like her mother. Because she always wanted a sister like Isabela. She was seeing how Isabela treats her and plays with her. She just wanted to do that like Isa. And now she can do that. Also not just with one, with two!
-Guys, I don't want to interrupt you but people need me, I mean my foods. If I won't prepare this breakfast we'd be starved and the townsfolk wouldn't be happy and healthy. ,Julieta said seriously.
-She's right. Let's leave her alone so she can do her job. ,Abuela says everyone, and as soon as she says it, everyone leaves the kitchen.
Casita had already set the table. They were sitting their seats. Félix was helping Pepa to sit properly. It was hard to sit herself with her belly. Dolores and Isabela were side by side, and Luisa was next to Isabela. Agustín sat across his brother in law. And Bruno was next to his mother. The kids were playing around while adults having little talks.
-I'm worried about Julieta. She forces herself too much.
-She was always like that. ,Bruno said recklessly.
-Don't worry about her. She is durable. She knows what to do. ,Pepa confirmed her hermano.
-If you're saying so...
