Ruby Gillman WAS a normal teenager, but now that all of Oceanside knows that she's a Kraken after she saved them all from Chelsea (Also known as Nerissa), and the Mermaids, she didn't have to hide anymore.
It was a bright morning in Oceanside, as the sunlight shined through Ruby's window, she quickly got ready for the day. After getting dressed, she rushed out of the house (after saying goodbye to her family, of course.) And made her way to school.
Despite the entire fight against the mermaids being 4 months ago, Ruby was still the most popular kid in the school. The school day went by like normal, but on her way home, Ruby noticed something. It was small, Purple and glowing.
"What the heck is this?" Ruby picked up the object. It was a crystal of some sorts, and it fit perfectly in the palm of her hand. Hell, she could probably hide it by making a fist. She turned it over in her hands, and then put it in her pocket.
From a distance, however, a figure, no taller than 3'3, watched Ruby take the gem. The figure touched a button on the ring on his wrist. "I found one, Doctor. Yes, I'll retrieve it." The figure jumped off of the building and followed Ruby from a distance.
