Chapter Text

Jake’s POV

All I can see is darkness.

The there was a small light.

It was small, a spark in the infinite darkness, but it was light. I tried to reach out, but I cannot move. Suddenly, my vision explodes with colour and light and movement. My body feel different, weird.

I looked around and saw I was on some kind of table, light and large robotic arms were doing things around my chest. Suddenly they all came away and froze on the roof of the small room I was in.

“The experiment was successful. We can incorporate him into the Pizzaplex now.” a deep male voice said. Upon the mention of the Pizzaplex, memories flooded my mind.

My home in a cardboard box in a nearby alleyway. Sneaking in for my 15th birthday to meet my childhood heroes. A white bunny with red eyes and a large smile. Her leading me into the service tunnels. A sharp pain in my back before the darkness came.

Before I could do anything, the darkness consumed me again.

Time skip, 6 hours

When I woke up, I was standing in a cylinder with a circular window in front of me. On the other side was a room that was all white with a few golden accents in a few places. It was like the rooms of the animatronics of the Pizzaplex but in a different colour.

Suddenly the cylinder I was in opened and that was when I realised something. I felt... different. I was taller and I was heavier. My arms and legs were bigger, and my mouth felt long. I lifted my hand up to see it when I noticed it was metal.

My hand was a white painted metal with gold accents running along it. I gasped in surprise and went to feel my face. Where my mouth was a snout extended forward with razor sharp teeth and a long tongue.

I felt the rest of my body and was confused. I could feel. My body was metal but had the same feelings as my old body used to. I didn’t notice tears were running down my eyes until they were dripping onto the floor.

I collapsed onto my knees and started sobbing loudly. I had become one of the animatronics. I loved them but never wanted to be one. I would never go back to my cozy little box home or meet the kind old homeless man on the other end of the street. I would never see any of the things outside of the Pizzaplex again.

I heard a door open and a small gasp, but I was too busy crying to care. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me and subconsciously leaned into the touch. I heard a female voice whispering reassurances into my ear and tried to focus on that. I was used to emotional breakdowns and knew how to stop them.

I slowed my breathing and the tears slowly stopped falling. I looked up and saw Chica was the one hugging me, providing me comfort. “T-Thank you.” I said, and she smiled.

“No problem. You’re part of the band. Part of the family.” she said, and I felt the tears well up once more, this time managing to hold them back. “It’s been so long since I had a family.” I said and she cocked her head sideways. “You were somewhere else before here?” she asked, and I shook my head.

“I was a human. I came here for my birthday and followed a rabbit lady into the service tunnels because she said she had a surprise for me. When I got there, I felt a stabbing pain in my back and then it was dark before I woke up here, in this new body.” I said and her face became serious.

“He did it again. I thought it was finally over but unfortunately not. I am not Chica speaking now.” A deeper female voice said through Chica. I noticed Chica’s eyes had become pure black. “I am the puppet, and I was installed into the Pizzaplex's mainframe to watch over the animatronics and the children to ensure their safety from him.” She said.

“So, I’m not dreaming or anything?” I asked and Chica gained an upset smile. “I’m sorry but you are an animatronic now. Chica, Freddy and Roxy were people once too.” she said, and I was shocked. “Really?” I asked and she nodded. “I help them through their trauma. They were much younger and have aged as robots. That’s why they have personalities. Roxy was the oldest and is about your age now If I am guessing your age correctly.” she said, and I was stunned.

“Well, I'm 15 now.” I said and Chica smiled. “I did guess right. You and Roxy are very similar so I think you should get to know her. Oh, and be aware, every emotion transfers to the robot bodies, even love.” she said before Chica eyes went back to their neutral blue.

“What happened?” she asked, and I smiled at her. “The puppet spoke to me.” I said and a frown formed on her face. “But that means, oh you poor dear! How old?” she asked, and I frowned. “15th birthday.” I said and her frown formed a scowl.

“I hate that man. Of all days and people, it had to be the person whose there for their 15th birthday. Any family?” she asked, and I shook my head. “a home?” she asked, and I hesitantly shook my head.

She frowned before pulling me into another hug. “Well now you have a new family and a new home. Welcome to the Pizzaplex.” she said, and I smiled before hugging her back.

After a while I stood up with Chica following me and went to the mirror. I looked into it and noticed I looked like a male version of Roxanne Wolf except I was white and gold instead of grey and purple. “They told us we were getting a new animatronic soon, so everybody is waiting to meet you. I was about to come see if you were here yet when I saw you sobbing on the floor and came over to help.” Chica said and I smiled at her. “Thank you, Chica.” I said and she smiled back.

“No problem! So, who do you want to meet first?” she asked, and I shrugged my shoulders. “Don’t mind, you choose.” I said and she smiled. “Wait here, I'll go grab somebody.” she said before walking out of the door and onto rockstar row.

I closed my eyes and started looking through the new knowledge I had gained being an animatronic. Apparently, the animatronics could gain charge from eating and sleeping and charging stations were only for emergencies. All the animatronics had full emotional capabilities as well as all basic human senses. Also, there were no restrictions on where the animatronics wander to, but they have to give staff notice if they are leaving the Pizzaplex. Lastly, I was now called Wolfgang the wolf and was in charge of a new section of the Pizzaplex that teaches kids to play music.

All this information plus basic information regarding the Pizzaplex and how to play a plethora of musical instruments now filled my brain, or whatever it was called now... my CPU?

Suddenly the door opened, and Roxy entered, looking sceptically at me. “Hello?” I say in a more questioning tone. “Why are you a wolf. They already have me.” she says, and I furrow my mechanical eyebrows. “Good question. Not very creative, are they?” I said and she grins. “I like you. As long as you don’t replace me, that is.” she said, and I smiled.

“I’m to replacing you. Apparently, I am a new drummer for the band and have a section of the Pizzaplex where I teach kids how to play instruments.” I said and she grinned more. “Cool. By the way, Puppet told us all about you and what happened, that’s why I took so long. For what it's worth, I'm sorry this happened to you but on the plus side now you have a new friends group and home.” she said, and I smiled. “Thanks.” I responded.

Roxy was a very talkative person once you got past the suspicion barrier and had a lot to talk about. Being the oldest before becoming a robot she had all her memories of her life before and she told me about it. Apparently, she had a brother and loving parents but was killed in a very similar way to me. She took a long time to get over the fact that she was a robot and was quite lonely being the eldest by a long while.

We talked for a while before I felt the familiar feeling of a stomach rumble from hunger. It was weird being in a robot body and feeling it, but I was used to going hungry, so I ignored it, forgetting the importance of eating and the fact that I only last a few hours after that warning.

“I’m hungry, wanna grab a bite to eat before this place opens?” Roxy asked, shocking me out of my thoughts. “We can just eat whenever we want?” I asked and she laughed. “Well yea, otherwise we would power down and be unusable for a few days.” she said, and I just rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment.

“Sure, I could go for a bite to eat.” I said and she grinned before grabbing my arm and dragging me to the nearest kitchen. I am guessing it is some internal systems, but I knew where I was in the Pizzaplex as well as what time it was. I also realised I had direct access to the internet and had a speaker in my chest that could play any sound.

I got an idea and grinned. We walked to the kitchen and cooked two pizzas. Mine was a meat feats while Roxy had chicken and bacon on hers. After the pizzas were cooked, we found a table and just as Roxy sat down, I played a fart sound through the speaker in my chest.

I cracked up laughing and Roxy looked around confused. “Where did that come from? I didn’t do that and there isn’t a speaker near here that is capable of doing that.” she said, and I laughed harder. Suddenly she looked at me with wide eyes. “Did you do that? How?” she asked, and I felt my laughter start to subside.

“I have a speaker in my chest and direct access to the internet.” I said and her eyes widened. “Really? So, you can play music and videos and stuff?” she asked, and I nodded with a grin. “After we have eaten, were going to prank Monty. We have a prank war going on and I'm going to win it.” she said with a grin, and I grinned in return.

We ate our pizzas before heading to Monty gold using the cameras to find Monty (We can access them directly) who was currently having a game. We entered and snuck up on the alligator, using the habits of a wolf we both had thanks to our designs and programming.

We snuck behind him and into one of the locked rooms before playing a recording through my speaker. Basically, it was a woman begging Monty for company in an... adult tone. I stayed in the room while Roxy went outside to record it through her eyes.

I started playing the recording and soon Monty was banging against the manually locked doors, begging to be let in. I snicker quietly as I listened to Monty get more desperate in his pleas. Before he could actually break down the door, I heard Roxy laugh loudly and Monty stop banging. Soon I couldn’t hold it anymore and broke down laughing as well, opening the door.

I was rolling on the floor in laughter while Roxy was on her knees and holding her stomach. Monty was glaring at Roxy before glaring at me before going back to Roxy and so on. After a while we stopped laughing and tears were forming in our eyes.

“You done?” only asked only for us to break down into another round of laughter. After that laughing fit subsided, I heard Roxy say a few simple words that mortified Monty. “And, uploaded to the Employe group chat.” she said, and I broke down yet again while Monty’s eyes went wide and his mouth to hang open.

“You didn’t.” he said, and Roxy snickered. “I did.” she replied, and Monty slowly stomped back to his room. “That was the best prank yet. I think we just ended the war.” Roxy said and I smiled. “That was pretty funny.” I said and she smiled back.

“Come on, lets head back to our rooms.” she said, and we stood before walking back to Rockstar Row. “Hey Roxy?” I asked the wolf next to me. “Did you know the area I work in is part of Roxy Raceway?” I ask, having just found out myself. “Wait, really?” she asked, stopping and turning to look at me. “Yea.” I said and she got a bright smile on her face. “So, I won’t have to be alone for 90% of the day anymore? Sweet!” she said, and I couldn’t help but admire how cute she was when she was excited.

‘Oh great. This is what the Puppet was talking about with all emotions.’ I though as I realised my last train of thought. We started walking back to the rooms again, this time Roxy had a massive grin on her face.

When we got to Roxy’s room, she looked a bit sheepish for some reason. “So, uh, you wanna spend the night here for like a sleepover type thing? I've never done one. I tried twice but Chica was too chatty, and Monty was too loud and wouldn’t shut up.” she said, and I smiled at her. “Sure.” I replied and walked into her room.

Roxy’s room was mostly purple with plush versions of her dotted around the place and a vanity mirror on one wall. A couch was there facing away from the giant window. At the back of the room was a door that led into the bedroom.

The bedroom was quite big with a massive bed that could comfortably fit 6 adult humans on it or maybe 3 animatronics. There was a charging station in the corner and another vanity mirror. I noticed wardrobe on one wall and looked at it curiously. “Why do you have a wardrobe? We don’t need clothes, right?” I asked, and she looked at me with a shocked look.

“You didn’t notice? Wait, you aren’t an advanced model?” she asked. “I thought it was just Chica left. In case you didn’t notice, me and Monty are basically fully biological. Proper fur, internal systems that act like organs, body moisture all that Jazz. Soon they are putting a bathroom in all our rooms and upgrading everybody. Freddy had it as well. I though Chica was the last one, but I guess you were a bit of a rush job.” she said, and I looked at her again.

This time, I did notice the fact that she was wearing clothes and the fact that she was covered in proper fur. I also noticed she had actual gums and real looking teeth as well as saliva. “Wow, I didn't notice. I’ll admit I wasn’t really focused on you looks, just having fun.” I said and she grinned.

“Good. That means you aren’t one of the creepy fans that stare or get too touchy feely.” she said with a shiver, and I gave her a disgusted look. “Some people are really like that?” I asked and she nodded with a frown.

“Yea. Usually, they stop after a warning and if they don’t I kick them out of the area. Everybody except Sun and Moon have that problem.” she said, and I frowned. “And the company don’t do anything to stop it?” I ask and she shrugged. “Thye have posters and stuff to tell the kids not to but that’s about it.” she said, and I was upset at the news.

“Anyway, enough about that. We need to sleep before we have a show in a few hours.” she said before hopping into the bed and holding the covers up for me to get in. She reached up and turned the light off before reaching over and giving me a hug from behind.

“Night.” she said.

“Night, Roxy.” I responded before drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
