Work Text:
The rain was pouring heavily outside, but Sky wasn't bothered. In fact, in his current position, there was nothing in the world that could disturb the peace of the young college student.
It was Saturday, and the week had been too long for Sky's almost nonexistent mental health. A seminar, an oral presentation, two exams, a summary, a model, and a group project. A very, very long week. And to top it off, Prapai had the damn trip to London for at least four days, so besides having too much work, he also spent the week away from his boyfriend. Which made him even more irritated.
Not that Prapai had been happy about it. The flow of messages and the amount of food he sent each day could feed a battalion - or just his hungry friends - well enough, confirming his situation. Sky could almost feel sorry for him if his unhealthy week hadn't almost driven him insane a few times.
Rain had told him on Friday about the ruler's mark that had been left somewhere in Sig. But Sky had gone for exactly thirty-six hours without sleep, so all he managed to do was give a crooked smile and offer a half-hearted apology to his friend.
It was an accident anyway, no hard feelings between them.
After the week had been a battlefield, all Sky wanted to do was sink into bed with Prapai on top of him, be fucked until he lost his voice, and finally sleep for thirty straight hours.
And he accomplished two of those things on Friday night when he was greeted by a very smiley and eager Prapai at the college entrance, with snacks, lots of kisses, and a rush to get to the dorm.
Sky doesn't even remember how it all really happened, but he has enough marks and revealing flashes. Something about Prapai spreading him on the couch, him giving his boyfriend a blowjob in the bathroom, and finally something about him riding like an Olympic athlete on the older man's firm thighs and shutting down his system. He knows Prapai cleaned him, gave him water, fed him, and officially put him to sleep with a kiss on the forehead and an "I love you, my Sky" to finish.
He knows because that's Prapai's routine of care. Every night he does it with the biggest smile in the world, as if taking care of Sky was the greatest honor he could receive.
Sky hasn't learned to handle that level of love yet, but he's trying.
Anyway, he could have slept a well-deserved thirty hours if Prapai hadn't woken him up at 7am. Sky reasoned for forty long seconds if he would survive prison after strangling Prapai with his tie.
He would survive, but he would miss the hugs. That was the conclusion his tired mind reached at that moment. And he gave up arguing with Prapai about his well-deserved sleep, got dressed, and was taken to Payu's garage. Rain was also there, and his best friend had an expression even worse than Sky's own because he was napping on the waiting room armchair.
Sky was ready to question why he couldn't have stayed home when Prapai looked at him with a smile. So, Sky gave up complaining and clung to Rain for a nap until lunchtime.
In the late afternoon, two races almost tied with Payu and a post-everything snack, Prapai finally took them home.
And there was Sky, stretched against the warm body of his boyfriend, listening to the rain - which had started at some point between the warm shower and changing clothes - pretending to watch the movie Prapai had chosen for them this time.
It was something nice, maybe one of the romances that the older man pretended not to love, and Sky pretended not to notice him wiping his eyes every time it ended.
The college student yawned and shifted, snuggling against Prapai's lap, ready to let his mind float away, the sound of the rain and Prapai's touch helping him relax even more. Sky was almost there, right on the edge of the cliff, he was almost...
"Men Sky, are you awake?" Sky blinked, half slow, half dazed, and turned around, lying with his head up, able to look directly at Prapai.
The tall man with soft hands and a gentle smile, his Prapai. His love. Okay, he was definitely very sleepy.
"Mm?"
"Sky, baby, are you awake?"
Sky furrowed his brow and pouted a little, maybe Prapai wanted a kiss. He could give his amazing and handsome boyfriend a kiss.
Right, he could give Prapai a kiss and go back to sleep. His boyfriend's lap was so warm, the affection so good. Sky could feel his body and mind connecting as he seemed to start floating.
"Baby, are you awake?" Prapai stopped the caress and lightly shook Sky's shoulder. The young man took a deep breath and finally opened his eyes, blinking a few times so that the two Prapais would merge into just one."There you are. Are you hungry?"
Prapai smiled cutely, and Sky squinted his eyes at that.
"P'Pai, we just ate," Sky yawned and forced himself to sit up and scoot away a bit, just so he could look at his boyfriend. He rubbed his eyes, and Prapai opened a sweet smile, as if he were looking at the cutest thing in the world. "What do you want, Phi?"
Sky wasn't cute, of course not... well, maybe... Prapai shrugged a bit. The rain outside seemed to intensify a little more.
"It's raining," Prapai stated as if it were obvious, pointing to the window and the ceiling. Sky blinked twice and looked at the window next to him, then at the ceiling, as if that would give him the answer.
It didn't.
He sighed, too sleepy to try to figure it out on his own.
"It's raining," he repeated.
"But Ma, Pa, Phan, and Plerng are not here. The staff has also left," Prapai said, too many words with little sense. Sky ran his hand through his dark hair, ruffling it a bit, trying to stay as clear-headed as possible. He looked at his boyfriend and... well, Prapai looked like a kicked puppy.
That only happened in two situations: when he had done something that would make Sky very angry, or when he wanted to ask for something that would probably make Sky very angry. Usually, both things had to do with buying something ridiculously expensive. Sky squinted his eyes at his boyfriend a bit more, and Prapai averted his gaze.
"Phi..."
Narrowed eyes, raised eyebrow. Sky leaned in a bit to get a closer look at his boyfriend. Prapai hurriedly raised his arms and put on a less guilty expression on his face.
"I didn't do anything."
"Then why are you nervous?" Sky raised his eyebrow higher and furrowed his brow, trying to connect some dots that he couldn't see. Maybe... "Are you afraid of the rain, Phi? Are you worried?"
The expression on the university student's face softened a bit. He had been afraid of the rain too, when he was six years old, but still. And he didn't like seeing P'Pai tense.
Sky crawled until he was almost against his boyfriend, rubbing the tip of his nose against Prapai's warm cheek, and Prapai grabbed him by the waist and pulled him closer until their bodies were as close as possible.
"So cute, my baby," then Prapai kissed him, so gentle, as if a feather caressed Sky's lips. So good. And Sky was ready to go back to his place.
"I'm here, the rain can't get you." A peck between a brief smile, and Sky was ready to lie back down, a little more snuggled against his boyfriend this time, and...
"Lovely! But I'm not afraid of the rain, my Sky."
"Mn... Why did you wake me up?" It was almost a whimper. Prapai caressed his soft cheek, and Sky melted against the older man's warm hand. So nice.
"I have a proposal for you."
In the past, those would be words that could make Sky tense and defensive, but coming from P'Pai...
"You're not buying me anything at all."
"Mean, but it's not about that."
The university student blinked a few times, both from sleepiness and curiosity. Big, bright eyes focused solely on P'Pai. Always on P'Pai.
"Mn... What is it?"
"I want to kiss you."
And that was it. As simple as the whole conversation. Sky went over the words in his mind once again, trying to see if there were any restrictions on Prapai kissing him. A punishment, a prohibition.
From the flashes he had, they had kissed a lot the night before, even during the day.
Sky pouted. Prapai always commented on him doing that when he was confused, pensive, or simply distracted. It resulted in a bigger pout and Prapai kissing him until they both couldn't catch their breath anymore.
"I think I didn't understand, Phi."
"I want to kiss you." Prapai repeated the sentence, and Sky nodded along, his eyebrows still raised in confusion. Then the older man pointed to the large flat screen, which Sky hadn't noticed was on pause until now. "Like that."
Prapai's cheeks turned slightly red, and Sky turned his head to finally look at the screen. He had no idea what movie it was, but the couple on screen was clinging to each other as if the world depended on it in a strange storm.
It was beautiful, seemed sublime, even though he didn't have the full context of the scene. But he finally understood the idea. A smile bloomed on the university student's lips, and he bit it to hide it. Sleep giving a slight space for Sky's mischievous side - Prapai's words.
He put on a fake scowl, his eyebrows high and his lips squeezed into an uncertain pout. Prapai was looking at him with a certain nervous hope. The puppy dog eyes almost made Sky give up teasing Prapai.
"Well then..."
"Well then, what, Phi?"
Prapai pouted more, and Sky wanted to bite it there, maybe...
"Let's go, baby! You understood what I want."
He turned his face to the side, just like a puppy, and Sky couldn't help but mess up Prapai's hair a bit, earning a smiley grumble.
"P'Pai, explain it to me. I didn't understand," Sky said, his eyes shining like crystal. Prapai pulled Sky closer, wrapping his arms around the younger one's waist tightly, pulling him onto his lap. Sky went limp, like a tattered rag doll. "P'Pai..."
The long sound at the end of the name made the older one sigh with adoration. Damn... Sky felt Prapai's warm, large hands move from his waist to his thighs, and he squirmed on his boyfriend's lap enough to sit up straight, his body leaning forward, his nose brushing against Prapai's.
"My Sky, let me kiss you."
"You don't need to ask permission for that," he kissed Prapai's cheek and then the corner of his mouth, grazing their lips so lightly that he could only feel the warmth of the touch on his dark skin. "You can always kiss me, P'Pai."
Prapai buried one hand in Sky's dark hair and the university student whimpered at the touch.
"You're going to be the death of me, sweetheart."
"That's the plan!"
Prapai took Sky's mouth in his own, marking his ownership, sucking on his boyfriend's tongue and stealing a deep, long moan. Sky shivered slightly, holding onto Prapai's shoulders to stay connected with the world.
A loud thunder roared and another torrent of rain fell.
Prapai slowed down the kiss and Sky ran his warm tongue over the other's mouth, eliciting a few more gentle kisses, until he finally found himself released and breathing.
"I want to do this, outside."
Sky bit his lip, the taste of hot chocolate still lingering. Prapai's face was flushed, almost looking shy.
"What if lightning strikes us?"
"I'll take responsibility, it won't strike us," he kissed Sky again and again, stealing the sanity and complete attention of the younger one. Sky just surrendered, maybe because of sleepiness, maybe because it was just incredibly delicious to have Prapai's tongue in his mouth, maybe because the older one's hands were starting to slide up his clothes, and his short nails were scratching his belly. Maybe... "Mmm, what do you say? Let's kiss in the rain, baby."
Prapai moved his kisses to Sky's pale neck, marking the warm and fragrant skin with a shade of pink. Sky squirmed on his boyfriend's lap and murmured, his voice dripping out of his throat.
Sky sounded so good to hear. Prapai loved it when he got louder.
"Baby... please."
"Alright, I'm in."
"Really?"
"Mhmm."
Prapai backed away to look at Sky. The university student felt his face burning and his breathing still difficult, as difficult as the tent forming in the thin shorts he was wearing.
"So beautiful, I want to devour you."
"Ridiculous," he playfully slapped Prapai's shoulder, feeling comfortable being supported by his strong thighs and held by his warm hands. "One condition before you drag me into a cold shower that will make both of us sick outside."
"Anything you want, my Sky."
"Hmm... Why do you want this so much, Daddy?" Prapai was about to shrug, Sky could feel the movement at his fingertips, but he stopped midway.
Sky watched with genuine interest as the man's face turned even redder. It was curious, Prapai didn't usually get shy, and Sky had to sometimes fight to make the older one blush.
Another thunder echoed.
Sky looked at his boyfriend with real interest.
"It's okay if you don't want to say," he murmured softly, touching the tip of his nose to the warm cheek. "I'll still kiss you under the cold water anyway."
"It's not... It's just... Me, you, the rain. Romance in the air. It feels right. The wind meeting the sky in its moment of greatest fury. And the sky allowing the wind to embrace. Do you understand?"
The man bit his lip, genuinely shy. And Sky found it cheesy, as cheesy as Prapai usually is whenever he can be.
He loved that.
"Completely!"
Prapai stole a lingering peck before Sky pulled away and jumped off his lap.
"Let's go, Phi!"
Prapai smiled from ear to ear and stood up, holding his boy's hand, letting himself be pulled to the door. Sky didn't hesitate to unlock and open the access door to the outside. The rain was still falling quite hard, with big and noisy drops.
"We can give up and go kiss in the shower, I accept."
Sky shook his head determinedly. He was going to kiss Prapai in the rain. Definitely. He intertwined his fingers with his boyfriend's and dragged him along.
The rain immediately drenched Prapai, the coldness making his body tremble for a moment. Sky wasn't any different, looking like a wet little puppy, adorable, with only two shirts and colorful shorts. Beautiful and his.
Sky waited a few seconds for his body to adjust to the downpour, then approached his boyfriend. Both completely soaked.Prapai had a beautiful smile, as if someone had just told him incredible news, but all he looked at was Sky.
Always Sky.
Sky wrapped his arms around Prapai's neck and leaned in, slightly rising on his toes to reach his boyfriend's lips. Prapai's slim waist was grabbed all at once, embraced like a lifebuoy. Prapai's lips were wet, but always warm, always ready to receive Sky. No matter which part of the body it was. Prapai was always ready to give Sky everything he wanted. And Sky was learning to not only accept, but to reciprocate without feeling like he was going to explode with anxiety.
They were...
Prapai held onto the university student's nape firmly, the kiss was slow and warm, it didn't promise sex or anything like that, it was just them. Theirs. As if they had created a whole world around their tongues occasionally touching.
It felt good.
Sky sighed amidst it all, the cold water no longer bothering him and becoming part of the scene.
Prapai seemed happy, but he always was when he had Sky merging with him in some way.
The kiss slowly ceased, with calm pecks and tense breaths. They found their foreheads against each other, satisfied and smiling.
"That was so cheesy!"
Prapai pulled Sky closer to him, hiding his face in the wet neck, trying to capture a bit of the scent of Sky that slowly became a mixture of rain and wet earth.
"And you loved it!"
It was a muffled murmured and Sky laughed, tightening the embrace, embracing the strong body against his.
"Yeah, I loved it."
Prapai kissed him again, then finally led Sky back inside the house, wet, satisfied, and with a heart swollen with love. Prapai undressed them and the shower was so quick that, once again, they only touched each other when they were sprawled on the bed, with Prapai warm and firm pressed against him, kissing his cheeks and neck.
"I love you, my Sky. Sweet dreams."
He gave him a playful smile and snuggled closer. He still deserved thirty hours of sleep.
