Leviathan was having the best few weeks ever.
No Mammon was around to steal his things when he slept. No noob that kept losing so pathetically it was honestly pitiful, his online friends were better anyway. It was the best!!
But then it wasn't.
The house got too silent, Mammon didn't even seem to live in the H.O.L anymore, his room was clean. Untouched.
Lucifer acted like he didn't care and would say he would hang Mammon for going out to the casino again, but his words didn't have the same bark nor bite anymore, because they knew where the avatar of greed was.
The purgatory hall.
And when the, now, very rare times Mammon was home the avatar of greed would be on his phone texting either one of the two angels or Solomon.
Like Mammon didn't spend the whole weekend and lunch breaks with them.
Leviathan let's his mind wander off of his game, completely ignoring said game as he drowned himself in his thoughts.
His room was too big now.
He could admit easier than his brother's he was jealous, that was his literal sin, but that doesn't mean he doesn't get embarrassed.
It was Mammon after all. Leviathan shook his head.
No, he couldn't possibly be jealous because of Mammon of all demons, absolutely not.
He was not jealous of people getting scummy, idiotic Mammon's attention. He wasn't! He refused to be.
Leviathan was livid.
Mammon stole his figurine again! And just when he thought he didn't have to deal with his scummy brother anymore!
The avatar of envy burst through his brother's door, about to tell Mammon to give him back his figure but stops and reddens when he sees Mammon and Raphael.
Crap! Leviathan didn't think Mammon had someone over!
"What do ya want, Levi?" Mammon asked, and Leviathan finally takes notice to how Mammon is leaning against the couch, looking back at Leviathan from over his shoulder.
Raphael seated on said couch practically staring holes into Leviathan, and– Was that Leviathan's old nintendo switch in the angels hands?
Mammon had begged Leviathan to give it to him, why did Raphael have it?
Why was Raphael even here? He wasn't an exchange student. Still, Leviathan feels the familiar feeling of his jealousy creeping up his neck.
Was Mammon teaching Raphael how to play the switch? What game were they playing?
Nevermind, that. Why did Mammon and Raphael look so much a like now thay he sees them together side by side?
Like they were twins?
Why did they look so complete? Like two halves of a puzzle finally completed?
"Leviathan." Said avatar cringes, Leviathan has never heard Mammon sound so stern, "What do ya want?"
Leviathan sucked in a breath, "My figurine–!"
"Oh." Mammon shrugged, taking the figurine on the table and tossing it to the avatar of envy, "Raph wanted to see it."
Leviathan had barely been able to catch the figurine, but he did. His face was red as red as Diavolo's hair as Mammon and Raphael went back to whatever they were doing.
The avatar of envy exited the room with a huff. Whatever, at least Leviathan had his beloved figure again.
Leviathan can't stand it anymore!
It was all Raphael this, Raphael that– Why did Mammon pay attention to that angel so much?!
They've even been having sleepovers in Mammon's room and Leviathan doesn't understand how they have sleepovers when Mammon and his actual brothers haven't had that in absolute centuries!
How did Raphael even stand that scumbag anyway? Wasn't he afraid Mammon would steal his things??
You're afraid Raphael will steal Mammon aren't you, Leviathan?
How did that stoic Raphael even intrigue Mammon's attention anyway?
Leviathan stomped his way through R.A.D to get to the cafeteria but stops when he sees familiar white hair.
Mammon. Now that Leviathan thinks about it, Mammon still hadn't paid his dept yet, so this is his chance to get that back!
Leviathan, Mammon has paid all his debts to you already.
Leviathan turns the corner Mammon had went and was about to call him but stops when he sees Mammon ruffle Raphael's hair.
"You're starting to sound like Leviathan, Raph." Mammon said with a laugh as he saw Raphael's offended expression before smiling at the angel softly.
"..I miss you, Raphael, I wish you were my little brother."
..What?
"I already am your little brother, Aniki."
What?
They were twins.
They were real family.
Leviathan doesn't stand a chance.
The avatar of envy had bolted after the incident, thankfully unnoticed because by father would that have been embarrassing.
After that Leviathan went straight to Lucifer, demanding his eldest brother tell him about what he had just seen and heard.
Turns out Mammon and Raphael were twins. Real family, real brothers down to damned blood.
Mammon probably misses his real brothers, if so then Leviathan cant compete with Raphael.
Stoic, calm, handsome, angel, Mammon's real brother Raphael. Leviathan shivers in his room as he recalls how soft Mammon's gaze was, how adoring, how loving.
Leviathan can't remember Mammon looking at him like that anymore, Mammon's never looked at him like that after the fall.
He was a fake. Mammon's grown tired of the faker, of him.
fake
fake
fake
"Shut up!" Leviathan pulls at his hair, knuckles turning white, his sin mocking him. Raphael was so much more handsome, so much more calm. Raphael was still an angel, still had Father's favour.
Who knows? Maybe he'll influence Mammon and Mammon will be able to earn Father's favour again?
"NO!" Leviathan curled in on himself, tears falling, he couldn't lose another sibling. He couldn't.
Mammon's real brother.
Mammon's first little brother.
All the titles Leviathan thought he had were all Raphael's, all that damned angels!!
It.. WASN'T FAIR!
It wasn't fair at all! Why did Raphael have to interfere in their family? Why did Leviathan have to have the Mammon that stole things from him and not the Mammon Raphael has?
Oh, Levi.. You already did, you just pushed him away.
The soft caring Mammon that adored and showered him in complements, why did Raphael get that Mammon?
Why was Leviathan the fake?
Leviathan cried, on the floor, trembling. Mammon wasn't his brother.
Mammon wasn't his brother. And yet Leviathan stayed there, crying and wailing for said avatar's comfort.
But Mammon never came.
