Chapter Text
It was a bad day, not because you repeatedly screwed up in practice, not because sister imperator once again scolded you, not even because you felt so bad you couldn't calm down. It's cause you're so goddamn paranoid.
You know no one's trying to hurt you you know that, but your brain is itching with fear and the second someone shows a hint of suspicious behavior you are flying off the handles in terror. You shouldn't be so scared you're a ghoul! A demonic hell beast rendered useless from terror by someone going the same direction.
The rest of the ghouls could tell you were freaking out but didn't know how to help, sunshine offered you cookies to which you panicked and declined somehow fearing they were poisoned. Dew offered a joint to smoke and for similar reasons was declined. And eventually Copia offered to listen to your troubles but your head was screaming that he couldn't be trusted so instead you slinked away into your room and festered in there.
Now you were chewing on a miscellaneous pillow tearing at it to soothe your nerves, picking at minute things you picked up when you got a knock on your door. You immediately look at the door and wait ears twitching as you wait, you watch as your door slowly opens revealing rain and mountain.
Mountain closes the door, and sits on your bed. You shove yourself into the wall, mountain quickly mumbles, "we can leave, but we're worried." Rain steps up and nods. You curl up "you can stay," mountain reaches out slowly and brushes some hair out of your face. Rain falls next to you in bed, looking up at you as you uncurl.
Rain gently grabs at your hand holding it softly as mountain climbs on you for proper cuddles. Slowly Mountain begins to purr, his claws scratching at your scalp as rain presses into your side. The feeling of the two holding you close is grounding, it soothes the nerves that were just screaming. Their hands roaming your back and stomach as all of you slowly drift in comfort.
