Work Text:
Catra was like a housecat, at least Adora thought.
On the days Adora had to work and Catra didn’t, she would kiss her sleeping wife goodbye in the ripe morning, where Catra had been lazing at a window in the glowing sunrise. Her stomach turned up as she basked in as much sun as she could. Adora couldn’t help but run a hand through Catra’s hair, listening to the quiet mewls Catra whispered in content.
As Adora arrived home from a heavy workday and the sun was setting, Catra was on the other side of the room where the sun's rays had moved- trying to capture the last glimpses of the sun before it disappeared from their small home. Catra’s ears perked up as soon as Adora came home, “hey Adoraaa,” Catra drawled tiredly, stretching from her place on the floor and standing. Adora walked up to Catra and kissed her, happy to be home. Catra shrugged her huggy wife off to put Adora’s dinner in the microwave, “I ate already but I cooked your favourite,” Catra smirked a toothy grin, leaning on the counter across from Adora,
“You spoil me too much,” Adora blushed, holding Catra’s hands,
“Your favourite is literally mac and cheese,” Catra rolled her eyes, grabbing the hot food from the microwave,
“Only your mac and cheese. That boxed mac and cheese is nothing compared to your cooking,” She said with a pleased smile. Adora’s eyes widened as Catra placed her dinner in front of her, “you saint from heaven,” Adora exhaled, the smell of Catra’s cooking relaxing her.
Catra stole a macaroni from Adora’s plate when she wasn’t looking.
Adora knew, but she loved the way Catra snuck food from her plate. It reminded her of a housecat.
