“Watch your balance on the pirouette, and make sure you are spotting your head correctly!” critiqued Mrs. Olenna Tyrell sitting on her stool, watching the dancers.

“Miss Targaryen, turnout! How many times must I repeat myself. Don’t smirk, Miss Tyrell, you’re not faring much better, not with the way that tush is sticking out. Come now, this is ballet, not twerking!”

The girls giggled through the movements they were making, almost breathless.

“Oh Grandmother–” Started the Tyrell heiress.

“No, not here I’m not! Remember what we say girls, when you walk through the door and into the studio…”

“You leave all of the outside world behind” the girls echoed, continuing their exercise.

“Good, now Miss Stark, don’t forget to straighten your legs all the way on your turn, half measures will not pass here.”

Sansa quickly corrected and felt a familiar gaze fall upon her, she resisted the urge to look back and give Mrs. Tyrell another reason to call her out.

“I’ve seen enough, cut the music, Clegane.” Called out Mrs. Tyrell standing up.

A massive man sitting at the piano lifted his hands from the keys. Sansa permitted herself to gaze his way, then quickly averted her eyes. Mr. Clegane had a way of leaving her confused. Sometimes he helped her, and at other times he barked at her to the point of leaving her almost in tears.

“Good, good. Now that that’s settled, I’m pleased to announce that the parts for our upcoming performance of the Nutcracker have been decided, please check the sheet at the entrance. Remember, if you have any issues with your parts, take it up with the boss, not me. Now off with you.”

The girls hurried out the door excitedly calling out a quick “Thank you Mrs. Tyrell and thank you Mr. Clegane,” before scrambling to get a good look at the parts. Sansa was sad to see she didn’t get any leads this year but kept a smile on her face as she celebrated the success of her friends, Margaery and Dany, who both got roles as alternating as Sugar Plum and the Queen. Sansa had had those parts last year, but after her fall caused by a poor prank, she found it difficult to move as before.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Sensitive Stork” sniggered a pretty blonde boy nearby.

Sansa ignored the voice of her ex, Joffrey Baratheon, the son of the school’s owner. It was his fault she had fallen injuring her leg. He thought it would be fun to team up with Meryn and instead of working on lifting Sansa during her jump sequence, they threw her around. She landed poorly and was still paying the price.

The boy turned to embrace his new girlfriend, Margaery, not quite looking at her but at everyone else’s reactions. Sansa had had enough and went to pack up her things. She wasn’t jealous, mostly relieved that he had turned most of his attention elsewhere.

Besides, she believed in karma, and had a feeling Joffrey would experience its consequences soon.
