Work Text:

"Osamu told me he's going to kill himself tonight." Chuuya says to absolutely no one.

The two teenagers were playing video games, when Osamu suddenly said, "I'm going to kill myself tonight." Chuuya snorted and said "Sure with what this time?"

Osamu just shrugged and said, "Some medication I stole from Mori or probably a kitchen knife."

Chuuya laughed, "Whatever dude. " He continued playing the game.

"You can have my Nintendo 64 and play it all night long on the basement floor"

Chuuya looks at him and then shrugs. Osamu never actually succeeds in his attempts so he doesn't worry about it.

"Shut up already and let's play."

Osamu looks at him and gives him a quick kiss before beating him in the game. Chuuya blushes and yells "You bastard!"

When Osamu left Chuuya had already fallen asleep, he woke up to an empty apartment. Which was strange. Osamu usually would be here but he's probably off somewhere doing something idiotic or Mori probably called him back "home".

Chuuya then hears sirens blasting out and he looks out the window. The ambulance and police were making their way to Osamu's house. He didn't leave too far, Chuuya got his shoes and jacket on running to make sure it was nothing serious.

But that's when he sees him. His best friend and boyfriend laying dead and gray on the ambulance bed.

He runs, making his way to Osamu as fast as he could, but the police were holding him back as he screamed for Osamu.

After Osamu was pronounced dead at the hospital Chuuya did nothing but stare blankly. His brother who just heard the news came for him but he shrugged him off and walked away.

He made his way to his apartment and sees Osamu's Nintendo 64 with a note " to play it all night long on the basement floor"

That's what Chuuya does, he grabs the device and makes his way to the basement where they made their "hideout" he sits on the floor with tears in his eyes as he picks Osamu's favorite game and begins playing all night long.
