Alex’s POV:
Alex wakes up and turns to see Henry laying beside him. he smiles at his boyfriend before he gets up and gets ready.
While in the living room Alex sees a text from June that says
Bug: hey Alex! Happy Pride!! just so you know. me, you and Nora are all expected to make an appearance at the Pride Parade in London, Zahra and Shaan are going to pick you guys up. also is Henry awake?
Alex looks at the text and laughs a bit. he and Henry have been living in the Brownstone in Brooklyn that Henry bought when his mom was re-elected for a while. it’s still Year 1 of his mom’s new term he didn’t know that she set up an appearance there, not that he minds
Alex: Hey June. Henry isn’t awake yet but I’ll inform him when he does, thanks for telling me and Happy Pride!
Alex goes to the kitchen and starts to make breakfast. as he does he hears Henry start to wake himself up and pets David before going in and wrapping his arms around Alex
“Oh, hi” Alex says
“Hi…” Henry says still feeling tired “what are you cooking?”
Alex shrugs “just a typical American breakfast” he says “Eggs, American Bacon, Pancakes, Grits and Toast”
Henry laughs into Alex’s neck “I sometimes forget how much food you guys eat here” then he starts to head upstairs to get ready as Alex calls out “you know you love my cooking!” to which Henry calls out “that I do Alexander!”
Later on as they eat. Henry is eating some eggs when he looks up at Alex. Alex looks at the ground as if there’s something on his mind which there is because while he doesn’t mind and want to go to London, he’s a little worried that Henry wouldn’t want to go for one reason or another
Henry says “Alex…” and that doesn’t make him come back to
“Alex!” Henry tries again but still nothing from Alex
“Alexander Gabriel Claremont-Diaz!!” Henry says which makes Alex snap back into reality
“W-what? What’d you full name me for?” Alex asks looking at Henry
“You zoned out and I couldn’t get your attention. I would’ve included your title if it didn’t work” Henry says with a chuckle smiling
Alex scoffs “sorry… I didn’t notice that I zoned out, I’ve just got something on my mind”
Henry looks at him with a concern expression “Alex… you know you can talk to me right? what’s going on”
Alex nods “I know… it’s just-“ he stops running a hand through his curls “it’s just… my mom wants me, Nora and June to make an appearance at the London Pride Parade for Pride Month and-“
“And you’re worried that I wouldn’t want to go because of one reason or another” Henry supplies gaining another nod from Alex “it’s okay… I want to go and besides my mum wants me and Bea to make an appearance there ourselves. she said Philip can if he wants to”
Alex looks at Henry with a feeling of relief and satisfaction in his eyes “really?”
Henry nods “really. now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going back to our room”
Alex watches as Henry goes upstairs then starts to put the dishes in the dishwasher because they’re both done.
Alex then goes back into the living room and sits on the couch watching something on Netflix when Henry comes back down with two suits, pins and a type of Kimono in different colors then the ones Pez got them back in LA.
“What’s all this?” Alex asks looking at the stuff then at Henry
“It’s to show that we’re proud to be who we are. our suits are in the colours of the flags, the pins are the flags with our pronouns on it and Pez asked someone personally to make Kimono’s with everyone’s flags there’s four others with his and Bea’s being in my old room in the Palace and June and Nora’s in your old DC room” Henry explains
Alex smiles grabbing the collar of Henry’s shirt and says “God, I love you so fucking much” he then kisses Henry who kisses back
While Henry changes in the bathroom, Alex changes in their bedroom putting on the suit and Kimono. once he’s done Henry walks in and says “Alex, you look… wow you look amazing”
Alex chuckles “well I could say the same to you, babe”
Then they hear a knock on the door and when Henry opens it he sees Shaan and Zahra, he smiles and says “hey, I take it you guys are taking us to DC?”
Alex walks up when Zahra says “yeah and not only that. but us two, Amy, her wife and some Secret Service agents are joining us since some of Henry’s PPO’s are already in London”
They nod and follow the pair to a van that starts driving to DC once everyone gets in
Once they get to DC, Alex and Henry both step out of the van and practically gets tackled by Nora and June which both boys hugs the girls back
They then get on a private plane with Henry, June, Alex and Nora riding in First Class. June says looking at her brother “Alex, I love your pride outfit”
Alex chuckles a bit “thanks Bug, Henry picked out the suit and Pez got the Kimono” to which June then turns to Henry “remind me to thank Pez for getting these Kimono’s made by the way Hen”
Henry chuckles a bit “of course”
Once they get to the UK, they get off the plane and see some PPOs, Henry’s sister Beatrice and Henry’s best friend Pez
“Bea! Pez!” Henry says hugging both of them then lets Nora, June and Alex hug them as well. Bea says “The Super Six is back together for Pride!”
Henry laughs as they all get into Henry’s car and starts it. he starts driving when Alex asks “where are we going?” Henry snickers a bit saying “we’ve got to go to Kensington Palace first then we’ll go to London”
Alex nods and they go to Kensington Palace as per request of Henry’s Mom then once they get to London. Pez says putting a hand in his pink hair “look!” they look at the float for both the White House Trio and The Royal Family “it’s a big float”
Nora laughs a bit “I mean, we’re used to it. we've been to plenty pride parades and campaign rallies in America”
They get out of the car with Alex looking at the float closer then turning to Nora “but not a float that literally looks like it’s floating”
Alex, June and Nora look at the float. it has the Pride flags hanging on the railings with three Bi Pride Flag, one Gay Pride Flag, one Straight Ally Pride Flag and one Non-Binary Pride Flag. June says “this thing is going to fit six people and not just six people. six people who look absolutely amazing”
Everyone else laughs a bit but then agrees as they go to hang out before the Parade starts
They’re all in a café drinking tea/coffee and having fun, Alex and June share a look when June says “are you ready to do it?”
Alex nods, when Henry and Nora were in the bathroom. June and Alex had a plan where they randomly kiss the other two because it’s pride and nothing will stop them, once they get back from the bathroom Alex and June start to go with the plan
Alex looks over at Henry, grabs his tie and says softly “come here Your Royal Highness” then he pulls Henry into a big, passionate kiss
Henry is surprised at first but kisses Alex back
June looks at her brother and smiles then turns to Nora saying “hey Nora…” blush starts to creep up on her face
“Yeah June?” Nora asks turning to June
June grabs the kimono and kisses Nora, Nora kisses back
Pez and Beatrice sit there watching them, surprise. then when both couples stop kissing Pez says “Wow, I knew Henry and Alex were a thing” they turn to June and Nora “but when did you two start dating?”
Nora says “we started dating… a few months ago”
June nods and adds “yeah, kind of like Alex and Henry last year. we first kissed in January at the NYE Gala then we started going out in like March”
Alex chuckles a bit as Henry says “also Alex” he playfully smacks his boyfriend’s head “how dare you use my title like that… how’d you like it if I said “Come Here, First Son of The United States” once?”
Alex blushes and says “I would actually like that” then the table starts to devolve into a different topic namely what Pez and Beatrice have been up to when the others aren’t seeing them
After leaving the Café, they’re all talking while heading to a karaoke place nearby. when Henry turns and sees two men holding hands. one seemed to be around his height with dirty blonde hair and the other seemed to be around the same height as Alex and has curly, dark hair.
The tall blonde is wearing a cape in the color of the Bi flag as well as a white shirt and the shorter boy seemed to have a pair of glasses on the top of his head and a white shirt like the other boy.
Henry smiles a bit, then he hears Pez ask “Hazza, is everything okay?”
”Yeah, everything’s fine Pez. it’s just I saw two other guys that seemed to be like me and Alex” Henry says
Pez laughs a bit then Alex says “that’s great Love, maybe we’ll meet them while we’re here”
Henry nods “yeah, maybe…”
