So credits to these people.

Hope you enjoy!

Chapter Text

Rain drops were rhythmically hitting the roof of the old warehouse, located in the outskirts of Tokyo. The sounds of leather boots splashing in the puddles, screams and laughter were all mixed together, complementing each other.

The commotion going on at the warehouse was hard to be heard or seen by a human soul; Huge trees were surrounding the area, masking it and obscuring it. The heavy rain was not helping either, the tall trees were dancing in the night's wind.

Not a single soul lived at the area. Niragi had done his research a while ago, when he was given yet again an order to kill. That's why it was the perfect location, carefully choosen by Niragi, so as to execute his master's orders.

Mind you, Niragi might have a master who is giving him orders, but he is not exactly calling him a master. He is not too fond of that word, neither the idea of being a servant for someone.

His master, or simply partner, as he prefered to call him, reminded him not to use this exact location for too long, so as to not raise suspicions by the local authorities. Niragi didn't give a shit really, the local authorities could join the party all they want, might as well shoot them too.

But Chishiya -his partner- really could be a pain in the ass whenever something goes wrong, so Niragi would simply nod dismissively at Chishiya's rant.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Can I leave now?"

"Did I say you are dismissed? Niragi, why the fuck can't you get into your thick skull that for now we can't mess with the authorities?", Chishiya pinched the bridge of his nose, finally raising his head up from where he was looking, fixing his glare at Niragi.

"Now really? Are you afraid of these idiots? They can do nothing to us. Absolutely nothing! Not when we have that many weapons and power. Do I really need to tell this to you?"

Chishiya kept his glare at Niragi, who simply cracked a half evil smile.

"Heck, for all I know, we rule this fucking city. How many times did I get us out of trouble? We can't make them believe that we are two harmless men willing to make peace and step out of the game. If that's the case, find another hitman."

Niragi made his way to leave Chishiya's dark lighted office, but the blond was quick enough to grab him by the wrist.

"I make the orders here. I make the calls. I am the one to decide if you are gonna leave or not."

Niragi yanked his wrist out of Chishiya's grip, hard enough to make the blond step back a bit.

"Look, I'm no bitch. You were the one who approached me after the Borderlands and I gave in. That doesn't make me your servant, neither it makes you my master", Niragi exclaimed in a low voice, staring deep into Chishiya's dark eyes.

"You don't really trust me, huh", a smirk had formed in Niragi's face, his expression rather unreadable. Deep down he felt disappointed that his partner didn't trust him, but it had always been like that in his life.

When Chishiya had approached him, telling him about his plan, Niragi was rather skeptical about the blond's motives. But he couldn't lie about not missing the adrenaline he felt at the Borderlands, thus accepting the offer Chishiya had made.

It was after a few months and some really serious missions that the blond gave him, that he started -kinda- trusting Chishiya.

"This is what you gathered after all these months? If I didn't trust you, I wouldn't pick you for this job", Chishiya's tone was as sharp as a knife. The blond moved back to sit down on his black leather chair, resting his arms on his office.

Niragi still stood in front of Chishiya's office, riffle by his side, expression still unreadable.

He heard the sound of a drawer opening and suddenly several files and documents with pictures were thrown in front of him.

Niragi finally stepped a bit ahead, now a curious expression on his face, trying to inspect the documents.

A walkie talkie was thrown at the desk too, next to the documents.

"We operate the same way we did on last week's mission. The target is a reporter. As far as I know he randomly heard of us and our doings. He started investigating. I believe he hasn't gathered that much information yet", Chishiya explained, while leaning back to his leather chair.

"But that doesn't mean we will not teach him a lesson not to mess with things that are not his business. That's your mission."

Ryohei Arisu. The guy on the picture seemed too young to be a reporter, much less investigating crime cases. He had messy black hair, that fell in front of his eyes. Niragi couldn't really see his eyes, but that's not the point, neither does he care.

Niragi took the document into his hands, eyes squinting to look at the information they gathered. "So I kill him and bring him to you?"

The ravenette was too focused at reading the file in his hands, to notice the silence that had fallen upon the dark room.

Confused, he turned his head up, "What?"

"Did I fucking tell you that you should kill him? We need him alive you idiot! We have to interrogate him! We can't do this if he is dead!", Chishiya's angry voice clicked something inside Niragi, making him too furious.

"Fine, fine! But, we might be done quicker with this little shit if he's dead!"

"Did you really not think the possibility that this Arisu might have a partner too? Who is also aware of us and our illegal doings? What if he is after us too?"

Niragi seemed perplexed at this new possibility. But he couldn't admit that Chishiya was right, his pride couldn't let him.

He tossed the document back at the office, talking only the walkie talkie with him, putting it his back pocket. Without further a do, Niragi strode to get out the office.

"Make sure to bring him alive. Promise me."

Niragi stopped in his tracks, his back facing Chishiya. He couldn't help but roll his eyes, "Yeah, I promise", and with that he was out.

Niragi was so excited. Hearing whimpers and sniffs made him excited, raised his adrenaline to really high levels.

Arisu guy was uh so easy to catch. Chishiya had already learnt the address of Arisu's work place, so it was like a little game for Niragi to pinpoint the place and simply hide and wait for him to come out.

"What an idiot", Niragi thought while taping him to a wooden chair.

Arisu's whimpers didn't seem to stop, the guy was absolutely frightened. Niragi could feel his body shaking as he taped him to the chair.

His mouth had already been taped, his eyes too. Pitch darkness was all he could see.

Niragi couldn't help but laugh at the scene, witnessing the misery the guy was into.

"That's what you get when you try to mess with us. Are you having fun little guy?"

Arisu's muffled voice went unheard to Niragi's ears.

"Hmm, I've been told you do some researches, as in.. What are they really?", Niragi trailed off, seemingly deep into thinking, tapping his finger on his chin.

Suddenly, his dark eyes lit up. He crouched down in front of the crying boy, just a few inches away from his tear streaken face.

"Oh yeah. I heard you are after gangs and crime lords. I think you have an interest in investigating such things. Too bad these things are a bit out of your league", Niragi stoop up again, circling around Arisu.

"And guess what? I'm here today to show you how much out of your league they are. Hopefully you will understand. You seem like a smart guy."

The sound of a gun's safety going off was what startled Arisu, making him panic in his place.

"Oh no, I'm not gonna kill you. I made a promise after all. I was just testing if the safety works", Niragi's expression turned into a fake anxiousness.

"But!", Arisu tensed again, "I won't hesitate to use this, if you don't cooperate", the evil smile was instantly back on Niragi's face.

Arisu finally breathed a bunch of air, after Niragi removed harshly the black duct tape off his mouth.

"Yah, quit being a weak bitch. I thought you were stronger than that. Now tell me, what exactly do you know about us?"

Arisu was still trying to take his surroundings in, breathing heavily and panicking.

The chair he had been strapped into was shaken hard, finally noticing Niragi kicking it.

"I asked you a question, pretty guy. Don't make me regret promising not to kill you!", Niragi yelled, his dark eyes going wide.

"I don't know that many things! I am only aware of your illigal activity in the area!", Arisu hurriedly explained, his eyes also wide open, staring at Niragi in fear.

Niragi cackled at the poor explanation. He laughed, and laughed and after he finally straightened up, his smile was wiped off his face.

"Let's see if you are this bold in front of the mastermind too."

Upon hearing this, Arisu's heartbeat went out of the roof, he felt his body shaking tremendously, breath uneven.

"No please, I'm telling you the truth! You can go to my work place and check out the information I've gathered!", the panicked guy tried to reason, but it fell into deaf ears.

"You know what, it's too boring going all the way to that place again, nothing too exciting about it", Niragi exclaimed, seemingly deep into thought, as he pulled a cigarette out of his jacket's pocket.

A few seconds after, the cigarette was lit up and Niragi took a few huffs, taking his time.

These few seconds felt like years to Arisu. He really couldn't believe how naive he had been, going after powerful gangs. What an idiot he had been!

How the fuck would he get out of this situation?

The pierced guy didn't seem to accept negotiating, nor seemed to buy Arisu's explanations. Arisu watched him smoke his cigarette so calmly, like the guy didn't have in front of him someone taped into a chair.

His thoughts were abruptly halted by a voice, seemingly coming out of a device.

Arisu furrowed his eyebrows. He noticed Niragi pulling out of his pocket a black device -a walkie talkie Arisu figured- and Niragi exclaiming profanities.

"What the fuck do you want? Can't you leave me in peace for once?", Niragi furiously said to the person in the other end.

"Are you still there? Did you find him?"

A manly voice, Arisu figured. Must be the mastermind. But why did Niragi scream profanities at his master? Wasn't he supposed to respect him?

"Yes you idiot, I did. You know I can't mess up", Arisu saw the ravenette rolling his eyes.

"Bring him to me. Or else I'm coming there."

The stern voice gave chills to Arisu. So he would meet with the guy one way or another. Fuck.

Niragi's laugh echoed in the old warehouse.
He finally moved to look at Arisu, who was watching the whole scene taking place in front of him.

"Did you hear this Arisu? You are that popular, that the Mastermind wants to see you. He doesn't do this for everyone", Niragi smoked the last bit of cigarette, dropped into to the ground and stomped at it with his boot.

The ravenette took a few steps, coming closer to Arisu, evil smile forming on his face, walkie talkie still in his hand.

The other man was seemingly still in the line.

"I wonder what he is going to do to you", Niragi said to the walkie talkie but kept his stare at Arisu, who tried to squirm his way out of the chair.

Only inches away from his panicked face, Niragi smirked again, his tongue piercing glistening from the artificial light coming from outside.

"Should I have some fun with you until the Mastermind comes? Unless you are finally willing to talk to me."

"Hey! What did I tell you?!", the voice from the walkie talkie now sounded furious.

Niragi clicked his tongue, huffing. "I won't kill him, I only wanna play with him for a bit."

Arisu braced himself as he saw Niragi turning off his walkie talkie. He couldn't believe the promise Niragi made to his boss, he wasn't going to be naive once again.

"You know what excites me?", Niragi crouched down in front of Arisu, ignoring his cries.

"Guns, knives.. It's up to you to choose."

Arisu wanted Niragi to stop smirking that wickedly, it really gave him the chills. The guy in front of him was a phycopath, living only off the people's angst and misery.

Arisu tried his best to calm down and think his way out. He suddenly felt that his right leg wasn't that carefully taped to the leg chair.

Would it be a stupid move if he gave it a go?

Niragi still stared at him with an evil smile.

Fuck it, he would try.

In a few nanoseconds Niragi's face was met with the floor, his private area burning from the impact. He grunted in pain, eyes tearing a bit.

Arisu stared at the guy fallen in front of him and tried to keep squirming so as to lessen the tape's grip on him.

Niragi though, was quicker enough, having recovered from the kick Arisu gave him.

He pulled out his gun, taking the safety off and aimed it at the stupid guy's temple. He was so dead.

Arisu felt panic filling his body, he saw Niragi's eyes glistening in the dark from rage. It was a stupid move after all.

Arisu squeezed his eyes and grabbed the chair he was strapped into, knuckles going white due to the hard grip.

He braced for whatever was to come.

"You are so done!", Niragi's cackles were ringing into Arisu's ears.

Suddenly, past the laughs, he heard fast steps approaching the warehouse and a heavy door being opened.

The mastermind had come.
