“Oh, father tell me..” “Do we get what we deserve?” — In the beginning, there were two.
Creation and Destruction.
Peace and Chaos.
Light and Dark.
Primus and Unicron.
But they were brothers.
And brothers stick together.
One day, Unicron started to become power hungry. Not inherently evil, he just wanted to be recognized. Like his brother was. So, he began to destroy dead solar-systems. He never once destroyed a system with life, however. He wouldn’t dare. Those were his brothers to watch over, and he didn’t want Primus to become angry with him.
But one day he destroyed a system with life.
He didn’t know.
“UNICRON!!” Primus’ enraged voice rang out through the dead system Unicron called home. Unicron turned towards the voice, eyes confused. “What’s wrong, broTHE-!?” Unicron was cut off by Primus barrelling into him angrily. “You said you would never destroy life.” Primus said, eyes full of rage. An emotion Unicron had almost never seen on his peaceful brother's face. “I didn’t! What are you talking about?” Unicron backed away from Primus. “But you did. A system with a planet with life. A lot of it.” Primus snarled. “I-.. I didn’t know! It looked dead! Lifeless!” Unicron yelped. Primus glared at his brother.
Primus was silent for a moment. He then spoke. “I cannot allow you to keep destroying systems, Unicron. Who knows, you may destroy a system full of planets with life and ‘not know’ about it.” Primus paused. “
I am sorry, brother.” His sword materialized in his hand.
“But this is what I must do.” Primus raised his sword, and brought it down on Unicron. Unicron tried to move away. Primus was too fast.
The sword was through Unicrons chest.
Primus’ sword could not kill. Primus could not kill. Nothing he did could kill. But he could do other things. A blinding light erupted from the sword, and when it was gone, Unicrons eyes were closed. He was alive. But.. asleep. He would be for a very long time.
Primus turned away, pulling the sword out of Unicrons chest. And he just… left.
“Goodbye, brother.”
