"Su-gu-ruuu!~" the unapologetically loud sing-song call of his name echoed through the room, blocking the sound of the door both opening and closing in one relative motion as the source came closer, unflinching as warmth enveloped his neck and weighed on his shoulders like a scarf from the arms that immediately coiled around him, the faint sound of hair rustling together as he was nuzzled into, just as a dog would to their owner's hand when they returned home. "I missed you..." still using that sickly-sweet tone, Gojou had dialed back his volume for the sake of his partner's sensitive ears, though that didn't stop his breath from ghosting over the skin, a little bit of dirty teasing he couldn't help in their current position (not that it would've stopped him, loving how it immediately flustered the other every time). The sensation made Getou shudder, instinctively reeling his head away from his overly cuddly 'excuse of a cat' partner to throw him a glare, only being met with a playful expression with a tugging smile that was borderline smug. "Satoru-" initially he sounds exasperated, though after taking a breath and remembering who he was dealing with, having dealt with this exact same scenario and teasing time and time again since their youth, his tone takes on its usual tired yet fond tone, "Welcome home. How was the mission?"
"BORRING!" Gojou groans in response with an exaggerated roll of his head before it settles right back against the ravenette's, nuzzling into the dark locks once more. "Got it done like usual, nothing special. Would've rather spent that time with you than wasting it on something so worthless." Continuing to grumble and pout like an upset child, clinging onto him just a bit tighter as if worried he'd be called away again, this was yet another thing Getou was used to from his one and only. In its own way it was endearing, knowing how much their quality time meant to the silverette- it was something they shared, yet everything in the world always seemed so against them being together for too long, pulling them away for missions, errands, or some other asinine thing that left them sour and further craving each other's presence. It was worse when they were younger, one of the biggest reasons that caused the rift and drifting of their relationship initially, all because they weren't allowed to have the time they needed, individually and especially with each other. Neither of them could fully forgive the past for that, both having suffered lingering effects that still rears its ugly head today, but the present has proven they've overcome the obstacle, that they were guided back to each other like birds to their nest, and while they still deal with occasional interruptions of sorcery or teacher duty, they promised for the future that nothing, not even heaven nor hell, would keep them apart again.
"I know Satoru, I know." Repeating in a calming manner, he reaches a hand to bury itself between the cloudy fluff of Gojou's hair, fingers gently running against his scalp, an intimate gesture that always helps soothe his lover whenever he grows agitated or annoyed, furthering the silly notion he fell in love with a cat in disguise. A low, content noise rumbles in Satoru's throat, leaning into the touch, which brings a soft smile to his face, such vulnerability rare to anyone but him, and even then when the other decided to not be a menace. "I know you don't like it, neither of us do, but remember that you're helping. You did good today, dear, you always do." Hearing Suguru's simple praises could make him melt, knowing it's full of genuity that nearly everyone else lacks, that his lover was the first and only people to actually treat him like a human being, and not just a tool or godly entity. Actions may speak louder than words, as the saying goes, but anything that his one and only said had such an indescribable effect on him, it wouldn't be too far off to believe he was placed under a curse all those years ago by the one who could so easily manipulate them... Heh, how silly that was! Getou was an honest man, and he wouldn't have to stoop that low to make him listen- just his voice, deep and lulling like the ocean waves, the love that lingered in every word they spoke with each other, was all he needed.
Silence comfortably lingered between the pair as they remained still like interlocked statues, just basking in each other's warmth and presence, letting the serene feeling of being home settle into their being, cherishing that they could just be here, together... Unintentionally, peace never fully lasted long, even within their own four walls, easily noticing how Gojou's weight was antsily shifting against him, almost as if he was pawing at him, wanting something without, for once, demanding it. "What's wrong, dear?" Breaking the silence first in favor of coaxing him to speak, the silverette chose to remain stubbornly silent, sky blue meeting lavender as they locked gazes, seconds seeming to freeze as if they were trapped within the unlimited void itself, and like he was using his ability, trying to feed the information to him with only a glance and using all their years' experience together to gather the rest of the clues. Ever playful and difficult was the man named Satoru Gojou, his one and only. The staring contest finally came to an end with the ravenette shaking his head, a soft, huff-like chuckle leaving him. "Alright, you win. Come on."
With permission granted, a wide grin spread across his face, giving his beloved a squeeze and a quick peck on the lips in gratitude before practically hopping over the couch as if he were a delinquent jumping fences, thankfully landing lightly on the much studier man who seemed mostly unbothered by the giant lapdog of a man, letting him get situated in his 'perfect' position, lanky legs thrown over his own, bodies slotting side by side perfectly, and head craned to rest against his shoulder, allowing the snowy curled locks to tickle lightly at his face. Once Satoru seemed fully settled, one arm lazily draped over him, keeping him a little bit closer, while the other grabbed the remote that rested on the side table by his recently finished book, flicking the television on to find some film for them to mindlessly watch while they cuddled up to make up for lost time, knowing that in a matter of hours, they'll fall asleep in each other's arms again tonight.
"Love you, Sugu~" The silverette drawled out, partially in a teasing tone but fully affectionate, sneaking yet another kiss to the other man's jawline, which was reciprocated with a peck to his forehead from Suguru, catching a glimpse of the faint, warm smile that tugged his lips. "I love you too."
