Unfinished Work#1

Summary:

“Wilbur? Hello? Earth to Wilbur?”
He realized the kid was talking to him, so he turned to the kid with confusion. “Who?”
The kid’s brows furrowed before chuckling. “C’mon boss man, quit joking! What do you mean who? Don’t tell me you also don’t even remember your own fucking name?”

Or Wilbur doesn't remember who he is or who are these who apparently are his family. He must discover the truth before he is far too gone.

Work Text:

“S-stay away from me!” He screamed out in terror as the shadow figures got closer and closer.

A sharp fragment of glass in his hand was pointing to them. He took a step back only to be met with a hard cold wall. His breath picked up, ringing in his ear.

There was no escape. There was no way he would be free.

In a swift, one of the figures lunged at him. “W—ur!”

Scream escaped his mouth as he fell to the ground, blood pouring out as the world went dark.

He jolted up, his hand went up to wrap around his neck intuitively like there was a cut on it. He gasped for air while his heart and head kepting pounding.

“Thank gods you’re alive!” A voice called out to him from his right.

He turned to the source of the voice, still finding it difficult to breathe normally. A boy with bright blond hair and bright blue eyes sat by his side, looking at him with tears in his eyes. The kid was vaguely familiar but he couldn’t figure out who the kid was.

“W-who are you?” His voice was hoarse and rough.

The kid looked stunned and puzzled with a slight of relief in his face before frowning. “You don’t remember me?”

He clutched and shook his head. The headache that he didn’t realize he was having got worse. He grunted in pain.

“Oh shit! Uh, do you need water? What am I saying? Of course!”

A moment later, a glass of water was shoved into his shaky hands. He carefully lifted the glass up to his mouth and drank the liquid down.

After what seemed like an eternity of pain, the headache finally got better. He finally got a good look at his surroundings. The room was just a simple white room, looking a lot like those typical hospital rooms, but it was not. To his left, there was a heart monitor, it was beeping inconsistently from his episode earlier.

“Wilbur? Hello? Earth to Wilbur?”
Soon he realized the kid was talking to him. He turned to the kid with confusion. “Who?”

The kid’s brows furrowed before chuckling. “C’mon boss man, quit joking! What do you mean who? Don’t tell me you also don’t even remember your own fucking name?”

He stared at the kid blankly. As each second passed, the anxiety started to bloom in his chest, and the kid’s voice became a muffling sound.

He didn’t know who he was. He couldn’t recall what his name was or even his birthday or age.

The more he thought or tried to remember, the more the headache became worse.

He didn’t know how long he was in his thoughts. But two new people had entered the room. He tried to speak but failed miserably as he choked on his own words.

“Woah woah. Don’t speak just yet, mate. Your vocal cord hasn’t fully recovered yet.”

Notes:

Truth be told. I don't plan to finish this story at all. Still, I want to know if anybody is interested in this story and perhaps that will motivate me to continue with this.

So feel free to tell me what you think! I'd really appreciate some feedbacks. Thank you for reading :)
