Chapter 1: Prologue: The Curse

Chapter Text

THE CURSE

Long ago, there lived a handsome duke named Crowley, who lived in a shining castle. Although he had Hell right at his finger tips, the duke was selfish, cruel and unkind.

On a cold night in October, an old woman appeared at the doorsteps, offering an apple in exchange for shelter. Crowley turned away the old woman. The old woman warned him to not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found on the inside instead of the outside.

When Crowley turned him away once more, the old woman revealed herself to be God. Crowley tried to apologize to her but he was too late. God had seen that there was no good in his heart. So God cursed him into a hideous beast, along with his staff.

Crowley tried to miracle the curse away, but to no avail. Now as a beast, he placed a concealment miracle over the castle to hid away from the world along with his staff who were now objects.

The apple that God offered was an enchanted apple and it turned into a beautiful apple tree in the garden. If he could learn to love and have his love returned, the curse would be broken.

If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast forever.

As the years went on, he started to lose hope.

For who could learn to love a beast?
